Great Product

What do you like best about the product?
Having the ability to review my sales calls with detailed analytics has proven extremely valuable. Being able to review my calls with my sales managers has helped to focus in on what I need to improve with talk time and more
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, I can't say that there's anything that I dislike about Gong. I would like to see some AI assistance to report back on how to improve my calls with suggestions on questions to ask, setting up next steps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has helped me to lockdown my talk time in discovery calls, to go back and listen to conversations and dive deeper into client pains, and has helped me with negotiations. It has allowed me to understand pieces of my sales process that need improving.

What do you like best about the product?
Gong is an absolute necessity for all sales teams. The platform is not only perfect for training new employees, but even great for the experts to keep a sharp mind. My favorite part of Gong is the way it maps calls and makes it very easy to find specific points. Gong maps calls in many ways, including, who is talking, power points, words said, and more. Finally, Gong give you the ability to scrub through the call and quickly select any point that you would like to listen to. Making is both simple and easy to learn and improve.
What do you dislike about the product?
I started using Gong about one year ago. Since that time I've experienced very little problems with the platform. The first thing that could be improved with Gong is the time between a call and it's availability for playback. At times, I would like to go back and hear a call as soon as it's complete, but Gong will take quite a long time to make that call available. My only other small issue with Gong is that it becomes disconnected from my calendar each time that I sign out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Besides studying my teammates and my own calls. Gong can be very helpful if you didn't quite catch an email or phone number during a call. It allows easy playback and allows you to select specific speakers.

Gong allows me to train myself by studying any call that went bad, or great. I can easily play them back in order to discover what was said and why the call went in the direction it did.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Any sales team should be using Gong. The platform is an absolute necessity for sales training and even a helper for the experts. Top performers and new team members can both find use in this platform! It's a great way to learn and stay mentally sharp.

Transcription & Searching Features Rock

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite feature is the transcriber & how easy it is to search. Colleague asks how you described the SalesForce integration or how you pitched implementation? Search, grab the relevant portion of the call, and send it off to your colleague in under a minute. Efficiency is what's up.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I can think to say here is that, if you use jargon or made up words (i.e. names of products) the transcriber often misunderstands those, with humorous results. For normal words though, it's great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It points out what % of the call I'm talking for and what my longest monologues are-- that's been really helpful in reminding me to keep my calls interactive, fun back and forths rather than me standing on a soap box and boring my potential customer.

It's also easy to search for specific topics in the call and then share the relevant portion with colleagues. For example, a colleague on the implementation team wanted to know how I pitched the process to a certain customer-- I sent over that bit of the call and we were on our way.

Best follow up, tracking and teaching tool

What do you like best about the product?
I love the fact it's not just simple recording, the analysis and AI (to certain extent) not bad. Just some technical term fall off when presenter speaks fast. Over all I love this tool and I use it almost every day. Thanks

Not much, maybe better speach and script analysis nut in general great overall product.

Great Tool

What do you like best about the product?
Being able to listen to calls as soon as you are done makes Gong a great tool for any sales organization
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes calls take a little time to upload to Gong but this is me being picky honestly Gong has no downsides .
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to coach myself on calls and being able to listen to my tone and questions asked to propsects solves the problem of not being able to reflect and master your craft.

What do you like best about the product?
The call of analytics of Gong is extremely useful to see who is controlling the conversation

There is no search feature for transcribes of words. This makes it tedious to go through the entire call.

Beats timeline functionality is amazing

What do you like best about the product?
The beats functionality is an unbelievable timeline feature that provides even better clarity as to how an account/person is being reached out to, better than a Salesforce contact/account data. This allows you to see a holistic view of how an account is being reached out to and understanding a timeline of discovery calls, when people went cold, and list of longer cold calls, that can directly take you to a gong recording. This allows for more organized outreach for an account that you are reaching out to multiple contacts at.
What do you dislike about the product?
If it was more of a CRM/ outreach tool then for Sales it would be a no brainer. But Gong is very good at what it does.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Listening to yourself is so important when you are on the phone. Nowadays people rarely answer the phone, so when you have the chance you need to take advantage of the opportunity to have a productive business conversation. Being able to get straight to the point, all while inflicting a positive tone is so important, and gong allows you to be really self-reflective on those aspects. Also being able to tag in my admins on calls is awesome, for feedback and commenting on each call that I ask them to listen in on. I am learning different talk tracks for common objections that a prospect will give me, so being able to go directly to the source of that objection quickly and easily is key.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to go back and listen to calls, all while receiving helpful data insights from best practice users and feedback from my manager, is a game changer for me and my team. I also really enjoy the speed up function so that I can power through recorded conversations when leaving feedback. Overall, I'd say Gong has been a true value add to my sales team.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one downside about Gong is the transcript function. It isn't quite 100% accurate yet, but I'm sure that will come with time and further machine/voice learning.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a leader on the team, I am always looking to join my team's calls to provide support and feedback. However, it is impossible to be in multiple places at once. Gong allows me to better manage my time since it records the calls for my team and highlights key points that I can quickly navigate to and leave feedback immediately.

Another benefit about Gong is the ability to take specific snippets from a conversation and send them to prospects. This has been immensely useful when creating business cases with my prospects since I can remind them/jog their memory of a conversation we've had with a simple click of a button.

Feel free to benchmark it against similar products in the space, I believe that you won't find anything better.

What do you like best about the product?
Being able to focus entirely on the conversation without having to worry about taking notes or forgetting key follow-ups is a game changer. Gong's tools for segmenting topics and pointing you to key points that require action are great, but the stats and coaching that gong provides on the call level as well as in aggregate are helpful and actionable. Being able to get call data back within minutes is impressive for the level of detail you receive.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest issue with Gong is when the recorder bot joins a call if you have to restart the zoom the bot will not re-enter and you won't get your Gong data. I wish there was an option to more easily pull the bot in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I never have to try to read badly taken notes or remember what my action items are. I can compare my stats to others to reach out to people for targeted feedback. I can easily tag stakeholders of other functions into relevant areas of calls. The benefits of Gong are numerous.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are scaling a sales team, this is an essential tool.

What do you like best about the product?
it's so easy to learn with the help of Gong! You are more critical with yourself and it gives ground for constant improvement of my phone and conversation skills.
What do you dislike about the product?
Ok, it means your boss can hear what you say & do. So what?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- you can go back and double-check on information provided
- you get to improve by help of call analysis and reply
- you get to structure the buyer's journey (did we already talk price? How long am I already investing in this guy, etc)
- great integration ( -hubspot)
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I've been in sales half my life and only now did I come across this tool. Mean to me that not enough companies invest in improving the skillset of their sales team.
You have a sales team making calls? At least try Grong!
