Extremely useful and innovative
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about gong is the ability to become data-driven in what was previously incredibly difficult to measure. For instance, we can measure how often sales members are using a given phrase. We can know how often competitors come up on calls, what percentage of time all parties are speaking, and what topics are coming up the most. I'm consistently impressed with the sheer amount of data that can be collected via Gong, and unlike many other software, the data is all useful. It's becoming an increasingly common trend for technology to provide data for the sake of data, without considering usefulness of said data. Gong, by contrast provides important information that we would have never thought to track, and we certainly never would have known is possible to track. This has helped tremendously with setting goals, which we believe should always be measurable and precise. Before Gong, we relied on "fuzzy metrics" or intuition or nothing at all. Gong has been instrumental in helping us use data to improve the way our sales team operates and the way we measure our goals.
We also find the ability to automatically record calls to be a big time-saver. It is reassuring to know that calls are being recorded without having to manually set it up and make sure everything is working beforehand. Gong automates this and lets us rest easy that everything is good to go before we ever hop on a call.

What do you dislike about the product?
I've found that it takes a little bit more time than I expected to get the sync with my calendar set up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've solved the problem of being able to become data-driven in our analysis of sales calls. As a result, we're able to use data to track our company goals, something that was previously done with intuition.

What do you like best about the product?
I love being able to listen to my calls and evaluate my own talk tracks, questioning, communication skills. It's incredibly helpful in avoiding the need to take tons of notes, thus allowing me to be a better listener overview to prospects I'm having conversations with.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dislike that sometimes the recordings don't come through if I end up having to call someone directly if they don't get on the conference line. I also find that sometimes it won't record calls that I have to reschedule or need to host spur of the moment without a calendar invite. It would be great if there was just a plug-in or integration with the screen-share software I'm using. That or the ability to turn it on my phone and record outbound calls that I'm making might be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to avoid furious note-taking, go back and pinpoint where clients are finding value in our conversations, recall specific details I otherwise might have missed. The benefits of re-listening to calls are endless, it really allows me to continue conversations more seamlessly and show people I'm a good listener.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Listen to call recordings as often as you can! They are super helpful and insightful and will give you insight you never knew you needed to help you be a better communicator.

What do you like best about the product?
Call recordings with actual key works picked up and highlighted so the one listening to a call knows what has been said at what time stamp. Every call has a automated transcript generated with an accuracy of 90%
What do you dislike about the product?
Upload of calls is a bit slow. Overall software is a bit laggy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quality of calls, Feedback on every call with the comment system .

The way call is differentiated in different segments to help evaluate the talk track & understand the value.

It takes longer time to upload a conversation after a call.

Human input is reduced to minimum with Gong ass it helps to ease the process.

That I can listen to other colleagues calls and learn from their processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Long calls over 45 minutes get cut off..

Learning best practices from tenured sales people in my group

I love being able to pull up my conversations and appointment setting to be completely refreshed before going into a demo or closing call.

Sometimes the site lags and can get locked up.

Easy to access recordings, transcripts, option to time stamp notes, and links to those time stamped notes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the fields aren't aligned to our SFDC instance, but I think that's our fault, not yours!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Better training for our Sales team. I'm reviewing clips and drafting materials to support them.

What do you like best about the product?
The most powerful thing about Gong is not only the data it scrapes and provides each user after a phone call but the ability to connect a team of workers using gong, making each teammate infinitely more effective on their calls by gearing them with concrete and applicable tips to have better success in realtime sales conversations. That is the biggest upside.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. Every company that sells B2B should have Gong. Maybe a retail b2c application somehow could be cool. (recording some sort of customer data)

Tracking my progress to become better on conversations by always reminding me of the industry's best practices. It helps take out the guesswork.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would make sure your team is in a position that is ready to accept gong. I.e, enough demand so more data can be used, Enough employees to be users to see how it affects the teamwork. Although it is quite obvious I would also recommend that the employees start recording their calls on Gong as opposed to what they used to record their calls in. I have seen some employees forget to do so out of habit. The emails Gong sends us upon the purchase to help us set up and improve are useful as they remind users that there is a new software at the company. The Brand colors help as well as they pop out. I would try using your big white bold font more often as any time I see it, I read the heading/article. The linked-in Articles Gong shares should be sifted through and the best one should be shared with current users!

Easier search capabilities for calls. Sometimes is hard to search

Calls review are huge. Also using it to train new hire is great. We can always look back and see what customer said and wants

Transcripts for calls to refer back to and CTRL F to search the call and action items to remind me what I told the client I would send to them/next steps. Also love the ease of sharing calls or parts of calls

I am very happy with the system the only thing our previous solution had that Gong doesnt is the ability to listen to a call live in real time without being on the call or alerting the rep/client

remembering action items at the end of calls, being able to send a copy to customers, going back and refreshing my memory, using for call reviews, getting feedback from colleagues, being able to listen to calls from my peers, tracking keywords
