Every sales team needs Gong.
What do you like best about the product?
There are a lot of parts in Gong I like best. The most useful to me is the immediate transcript provided after every call. This makes it extremely easy to go through and control F any topics that we discussed that I need to refresh myself on. My second favorite feature is the "Actions as a result of this call" ai feature that Gong provides in the analysis. This ensures that after any sales call I am able to quickly see what follow ups I promised, or any other actions as a result of the call. Lastly, I love the benchmarking capability. Getting best practice breakdowns of how much I should talk about topics compared to colleagues helps focus my efforts to develop skills that will allow me to produce more.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one thing I dislike is the daily email reminder of the calls that will be recorded for the day. Too many emails that I just end up deleting. If I need anything I always just sign in to Gong and get in. I never use the emails.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem I am solving for is how to effectively sell my product and have the highest win rates. Additionally, I am also solving for time management when I use Gong for follow ups and prioritizing deals.
Gong is a game changer when it comes to understanding what makes or breaks a call.
What do you like best about the product?
The stats it provides. As a sales leader, I don't need to listen to every second of every call to be able to provide quality coaching and feedback for my team. The analytics make it easy to provide actionable goals to work towards. It also allows you to identify hiring success metrics for individuals that are more likely to succeed in the role.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much to say here, my only comment is (and I totally understand why this is) around the amount of times you have to log back in due to inactivity. I get that for for security reasons, you have to authenticate each time you're inactive for awhile, but it can be a bit annoying to pause, go to a meeting, come back, try to press play, only to have to login all over again.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understanding the why behind skill gaps for account executives. Gong gives me facts to back up my coaching and feedback, so it's no longer just my word against my accounts executives. It makes critiquing calls that much more powerful when you can fall back on to hard numbers of where the comments are coming from.
Gong also helps with reviewing deals. Their new deals module helps me get a glimpse of what activity has been happening, when the last call happened, whether there is a next step scheduled, and when we expect to close a deal. It makes it simpler to understand which deals are real, vs which ones could use some more work.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's not cheap, but worth every penny. The amount of time savings alone when it comes to sales coaching is going to help the software pay for itself.
So helpful and saves time
What do you like best about the product?
I love that I no longer have the "oh no! I forgot to hit record" feeling 5 minutes into a meeting. The ability to share relevant portions of conversations with my team is extremely useful. The transcript feature helps me completely my post-call meeting notes more quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The transcript feature is great, but there could definitely be some improvements with its accuracy. The timing of the "this call may be recorded" voiceover sometimes interrupts the initial pleasantries with the client - it would be great if it was triggered earlier, or could wait until there's no one talking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong can help solve the problem of possible miscommunication - both internally and with the client. The ability to seamlessly track customer interactions with my team and save time on meeting recaps is very valuable. Gong also helps with onboarding new hires, as they are able to review past calls and I can hand pick which ones I feel are most valuable.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Encourage its use as an onboarding tool for new hires - or even training for existing hires. It's a valuable resource and saves time.

What do you like best about the product?
Listening to my prior calls before the next one to get into sync with that customer again. I tend to miss much more than I expect in my note-taking so everything is there for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much though I sometimes forget to end the Zoom call so it would be nice if Gong could know when a call is over and the customer drops so it then drops the recording.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quality control on my selling skills is a big one. Listening and observing my habits to then determine what I can improve upon.

What do you like best about the product?
Gong is an amazing tool. It gives everyone in your organization complete visibility into conversations that they may not be initially invited to. The ability to tag and grade others conversations is an easy way for you to get the proper feedback and quick responses from other parts of your organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, Gong.io is a great tool and there is nothing I would say negative about the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong.io helps our organization surface priorities around our product roadmap. Tagging others to get feedback and surface customer needs/wants. Gong.io also gives you the ability to share calls with customers and others in their organization to help reduce the amount of time you need to reiterate a specific question or feature inside of your platform.

It will justify the costs because it will give you full visibility into your organization.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the details we get of each and every call. Also there is no limit to how much we can learn from other in my company by searching them, whether its our managers, coaches or peers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometime Gong take wrong info in transcript.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
By searching others, you can learn how others are doing things differently. This help increase my perspective.

This platform each a coaches job by giving detailed analysis. To peers, it will give abundance of good and quality call to listen to and improve. For an organization, this will help Head of operations to pick people with high quality and reward based on that.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how the tool can enrich customer conversations. The ability to look back at past calls, take notes, and all of the reminders is fabulous! Besides Sendoso, Gong is my number 1 used tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Personally, I would like the option to lock down a call (and maybe I can) so that not everyone can just secretly join. But above that, nothing too much.

The ability to look back at past calls, notes, call highlights, coaching, ability to share calls...so many things!

What do you like best about the product?
The UI of Gong is very intuitive and easy to use. Easy to send recordings to colleagues and prospects while also learning from the detailed stats of the call. I also enjoy using the call stats that show my % of talking vs. the prospect helping me get better for my future calls. I also enjoy using it as a note-taking tool that has improved my notes when I pass information back to my colleagues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is difficult to find and search old calls. Only happens sometimes but most of the time it searches no problem. Takes some time for GOng to analyze the call which could be quicker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Some benefits include my own development as a salesperson as well as helping me take more time to listen to the prospect and be able to go back to take better notes after the call.

Surprisingly effective tool
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to review calls to refresh memory on certain details that can be easily forgotten due to high volume of calls, being able to jump to specific speakers and finding out what filler words and/or bad habits I have that can be improved upon.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much to dislike - other than the fact that any goofs and mistakes are recorded for all of your colleagues to review!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong is a valuable training tool for all of our new employees to review calls in order to get up to speed quickly. For more tentured employees, there's a lot of value in learning from each call to continually improve on your pitch, process and overall attention to detail. With multiple, often back-to-back calls on many days, it's hard to always take great notes (especially if you're presenting on-screen), so the ability to go back and pick up details and important clues provided by the customer during the call is invaluable.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just make a point to use it. We have lots of different tools available for different teams - some of which are very useful and some not as much. Gong is one that just about everyone finds useful.
