What do you like best about the product?
Instant feedback & visibility on all your interactions. Easy to share calls both internally & externally. Immediate value when onboarding & coaching new hires and instant feedback for existing & seasoned team members. The analytics are extremely powerful and detailed while easy to digest. Analysis is easy to turn into action with continued collaboration through key integrations (i.e. Salesforce, Hubspot, Outlook, Slack, etc)
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI can be overwhelming at first glance but once you get a good feel for what you're looking for, it becomes easier to use. Robus guidance on which analytics to use could be more accessible. Once fully setup, there should be an easier way to analyze the overall setup compared to other orgs of similar size and industry.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong has been the single most important tool for quick onboarding & training of new hires. As a season rep, I can easily go back to my interactions and quickly analyze a call for key analytics such as: talk time, tone, patience, delivery, keywords, etc. The immediate value and impact you get from the platform is nothing like any other personal development that I've ever used.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't hesitate! You won't be disappointed!

The tape doesn't lie!

What do you like best about the product?
Hearing your calls played back, gives you the opportunity to learn how you are coming across. It allows you to identify areas that you can improve on and where you are strong.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the sound quality is lacking, but that is my only dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Gong as a team to share best practices and learn how to use our specific skills more effectively.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Gong has made a significant difference in our ability to collaborate and improve our outreach in our inside sales division. I would highly recommend their software.

One of the best sales enablement tools on the market!

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Gong is a great collaboration tool for teams where multiple AEs and sellers may ben involved with a deal.
What do you dislike about the product?
The text call transcriptions can be a little rough to skim, but the tech they're using for that is still comparable/slightly better than other tools I've used in the past.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Recording notes on calls, being able to share with teams, sales training and ramp up. Gong has helped streamline processes internally and accelerate ramp up times for sales people. It's a gold mine for learnings and capturing key data points in our sales process.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We looked at several competitors to Gong as part of our evaluation and they stood out from the pack. Not only is the tool itself very helpful, but their sales enablement tools and tips are helpful as well. They have research on best practices for B2B sales techniques that are immediately useful to our team. As a startup, we needed a tool that would be easy for note-taking and sharing for fast iteration on our sales process and product and Gong has been great!

Helps Create A True Partnership with Clients

  • February 04, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I am from Boston, I talk fast...wicked fast. Gong has helped me pinpoint where to slow down and pause during my clients calls to ensure the client is doing a majority of the talking. Thanks to the call transcript, I don't have to worry about taking notes and missing important information. It also helps create a paper trail should I need to reference a previous conversation with the client. The ability to copy and paste the call transcript directly into my notes in Salesforce has also saved me countless hours of typing up notes and logging calls.
What do you dislike about the product?
The "this call is being recorded" voice takes a little too long to chime in on calls sometimes. While the call transcript is a huge asset, it's not perfect and sometimes translates what was said into a different word once it is typed on. I can generally figure out what it was meant to be, or just go back and listen to the recording in need be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team is using Gong to ensure we are having more impactful conversations with our clients. The most important skill we are trying to improve is making sure we are not just listening, but hearing what our clients are saying. It is very easy to try to solution map in sales, but we use Gong to ensure we are acting like true consultants and partnering with our clients to improve their process and revenue. Using the recorded calls has helped my team have more meaningful training sessions with our management team and really dive in to areas of improvement.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it! Sales reps can have big egos and think they don't need to improve. There are so many different ways to use Gong that even the top sales rep at an organization will find it valuable.

Gong is great for sales professionals

What do you like best about the product?
It makes sure nothing gets overlooked on big calls, you can always review the transcript for extremely helpful notes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it doesn't pick up the conversations fully, and the transcript isn't as useful in those instances.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has made sure I always understand the main priorities for the prospect on all conversations I have.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great for your sales team, makes sure nothing is overlooked on any calls big or small.

My Sales Superpower

  • February 03, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Now that I have Gong auto-joining every Zoom meeting I schedule and run, I have a living record of all those meetings. It enables me to go back to supplement my notes with actual quotes from our conversations. That way, I come to follow-up calls more prepared than my prospects expect, which leads to them having a more favorable impression of my efforts and dedication to solving their challenges.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish Gong could help me record all the rest of my conversations in my life so I can have superpowers outside of work too!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong ensures that I can easily go back and analyze a call so I can better serve my prospects. It also ensures that other reps who join my team can easily dive into a history of my greatest and worst calls on-demand, rather than having to bug me about sitting in on my future meetings. It removes the time-constrained component of ramping up new reps by having them listen to real-world sales conversations.

Great tool for insight, analytics, and coaching. Also helps you truly engage with your clients

  • February 03, 2020

What do you like best about the product?
There is a lot to like about Gong. The tool provides valuable insights after you meetings - auto flagging key words, next steps, questions asked and who asked them, even, you know, "filler words" that you should try to be more conscious about saying. Gong also provides a full transcript of your meetings which you can view and keyword search as well.

Additionally, Gong empowers me during my calls to truly listen and engage with my clients, as opposed to scrambling to take thorough notes and making sure I type everything they say. This has been a real difference maker in my approach to sales calls. Gone are the days of feverishly typing away, as I know I'll be able to go back and review the call later with valuable insights from the application.

And last but not least, the ability to share your meetings or snippets of calls with other folks in the your company is huge. This is a great feature not only for coaching purposes, but also for helping engage cross functional teammates about client requests, technical questions, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, not much that I can think of. I had a neutral opinion of Gong prior to my company starting a trial, and very quickly I've adopted it as one of the tools that I use on a daily basis to help plan for, manage, and review my meetings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meeting management (planning, reviewing, and executing), client engagement, coaching, cross team collaborating.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Involve your sales team in the decision making process and trial. I have confidence that they will be excited about using the tool if they're given the opportunity to take it for a test run.

It is a great, easy, and user-friendly experience.

What do you like best about the product?
I love gong in that it helps me know what I have to work on, is really easy to use, and manually adds my calls. I like the playback speeds, the organization of the platform, and being able to write comments.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike when the person I'm calling is blocked out and I can't hear them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My own sales techniques, allowing myself to listen to calls to take notes and know what to tell the Account Executive. The biggest benefit I think is being able to have the call saved so it is easy to find.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The advice I would have is making the calls upload faster. This might be tough to do, but sometimes calls take longer than others to upload.

A new way to listen

  • February 03, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful part of Gong is the ability to share recordings over the web. Gone are the days of trying to compress long audio recordings or Mp4's to email them over to clients!
What do you dislike about the product?
Gong is still being developed into a tier 1 piece of software. It can be a little difficult to soak in everything as it stands because there is so much you can do, and can be hard to find where to do it. As time goes on though I am confident their UI will continue to improve!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have a problem with rambling sometimes, so Gong points that out to me and helps me improve my phone game!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't be afraid to dive into the analytics side of this tool, there is some really great information to be gleaned them!

The best self-improvement tool for salespeople

  • February 03, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Call stats. It makes it so easy to go through calls and see where I'm doing well and where I can improve as well as how long I'm talking.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. I seriously have yet to find something. I love that I can send specific sections of the call as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Learning how to ask better questions, and seeing when I'm talking too much and when I need to just shut up and listen. It really has made me 100% better already.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't think about the cost. It will more than pay for itself by supercharging your sales team.
