The tool that you didn't know you didn't need
What do you like best about the product?
It's good for listening to calls and finding out what was said and how it was said. It's also good for going back and double checking what the client said, so that you can ensure that you get things right or you have backup to help correct a situation.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's too complicated, and not intuitive at all. Using it is very...discomforting. Searching for calls is not easy, moving around in the calls is not easy, and understanding the pipeline management portion of it is almost impossible. Some people figure it out, but I think most just fumble through and tell tall tales about how easy it is for them to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For me, the only business problem gong solves is the call recordings. It allows me to review my calls and listen to them so that I can understand either where I went wrong or what the customer really said.
Great for consultants!
What do you like best about the product?
Gong is great for training purposes. You can see your talk ratios and the call is broken up by topics so you can easily jump to a section you want to review. I also love that I can send the recordings to my customers so they can review our call discussion. I also LOVE the transcripts and how I can search a topic and it will take me to the exact point in the call.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes after a call with a customer when I am drafting up the follow up email my gong recording takes a while to load. Sometimes I have hour long calls so understandably it will not be instant but I wish the load time was a little quicker so I don't have to wait before sending my folow up email.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Call recaps to customers. And Gong is helping me improve my skillset in my role by allowing me to review calls.
Gong is the best for chat summaries, AI-assisted call summaries
What do you like best about the product?
I use Gong almost every single day. It is particularly helpful in allowing me to dissect my calls for certain words and phrases. I can really see if I am consistently saying certain things to callers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Gong is fairly user-friendly. Currently, I don't dislike anything
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong solves the problem of recording calls, allowing you to search your calls, and helps keep productivity high.
Indispensable tool
What do you like best about the product?
the filtering capabilities for the within-call text are not only superb, but unlike other software I've used
you can also set up searches with your criteria to feed calls that meet your requirements into a specific stream
you can also give call feedback that auto-tags the minute/second you are commenting about

What do you dislike about the product?
not a huge fan of the account overview page, which shows you all the company's interactions with a specific account
although you can integrate a lot of different apps with Gong, you still need to remember to invite assistant@gong.io to your calls, or else they won't be recorded

I have found Gong to be very helpful when reviewing my own calls as well as my teammates calls.
What do you like best about the product?
Having the transcripts of my calls afterwards be automatically made has been the most helpful. It's great to follow along and see the words in front of me as I listen.
What do you dislike about the product?
There really isn't that much to dislike about Gong. It's very user friendly and I have yet to discover something about it that I find difficult or dissatisfying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong allows me to review my own calls as well as my teammate's calls. This is very helpful for me because it allows me to see areas to improve or ways to better my calls going further.
Customer Success Manager
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to hone in on conversation topics within the recording.
What do you dislike about the product?
Calls with multiple internal "Stake holders" are only assigned to 1 person within gong. Being able to co-own a recording to view all of "My Calls" would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Improved note taking, coaching for new hires
The most amazing tool for coaching!
What do you like best about the product?
I absolutely love that Gong can identify questions and filler words. This is tremendously helpful for coaching others AND yourself.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only thing that I dislike at the moment is that Gong Usage is not updated REAL TIME. You have to wait until the following business day for an update on how many calls you've listened to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong is allowing me to listen to as many calls as I want to, whether it's my own or others' calls. I can coach myself and pick up on things that others are doing and it's just great we have access to this. Filler words section is the most helpful for me as well so I know what to work on to make my conversations more productive!
Gong with the Wind
What do you like best about the product?
Gong provides both the customer and the client with the freedom to focus on the conversation/demonstration at hand vs. scribbling furiously to ensure accurate recollection. This can be critical, especially when in contract negotiations or service expectations are discussed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Being a power user of Gong takes discipline to avoid not using features that move deals forward. Important that the entire team uses the same nomenclature and has appropriate expectations of what can be discovered.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Clarification. From Contract Negotiations to simple clarification of client/Elsevier expectations, Gong provides both sides with the confidence that all terms are understood.
Great benefit for inbound calls
What do you like best about the product?
Artificial intelligence that makes listening and coaching easier, quicker, in an optimized way
What do you dislike about the product?
less applicable to outbound calling due to the necessity of consent sentence (GDPR related)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
insights and time optimization during coaching
Best Tool To Analyze
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about the Gong is that you can understand the call, and the insights are the lovely feature and. also shows you where the opportunities are to improve yourself.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing to dislike in the Gong; using it for more than six months has helped me fix many things, so I have no negative insights about the gong. Everything feels to be fine
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes me understand the call records on the Gong that an agent had while he was speaking to the client and also helps me understand and audit the complete call with the conversation happening in the text format by creating the script for the call.
