SOC2 experience with Scytale
What do you like best about the product?
Scytale was very helpful during the SOC2 process. We had a shared slack channel and got fast responses for every question we had.

SOC2 is a long process that took us more time than expected to finish

What do you like best about the product?
Working with Edden @ Scytale on our ISO compliance was a breeze. This was my first time going through compliance process and Edden was there every time I stumbled and felt inadequate. I am not sure how can this process be done without them.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their UI still has quirks here and there but most of the issues we encountered were addressed immediately.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Going through the hoops of compliance is not an easy fit for a first timer. Scytale and their staff eased my transition into the role and helped me a lot to understand the ins and the outs of the process.

What do you like best about the product?
Working with Scytale on our ISO 27001 certification was an excellent experience. Their automation made the evidence collection process far more efficient and removed a lot of manual effort. The guidance from the team gave us full confidence throughout what could have been a very complicated journey. Our dedicated contact, Edden, was exceptional – always responsive, knowledgeable, and a real pleasure to collaborate with.
What do you dislike about the product?
If anything, the onboarding took a little longer than expected, but once we were up and running, everything worked seamlessly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scytale helps us take the complexity out of preparing for ISO 27001 certification. The platform automates much of the evidence collection and ongoing compliance monitoring, which saves us significant time and reduces the risk of human error.

What do you like best about the product?
Scytale has been incredibly hands-on throughout the process. Their team guided us step by step, making what could have been a complex and time-consuming project much faster and smoother. Thanks to their support, we were able to achieve ISO27001 compliance in record time, and with confidence that we were doing things the right way.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, there’s very little to dislike. If I had to mention one thing, it’s that the platform is still evolving, so occasionally we come across features that could be more polished. That said, their team is very responsive to feedback and quick to improve, which offsets this.

There is nothing I dislike about Scytale. The Product needs maturing and improvement, however, they are working on it.

Achieving ISO27001:2022 was a key milestone for our organisation. It reinforced our commitment to information security and helped us embed a culture of compliance and awareness across the business.

The platform is seamless, has all the integrations we needed, and enabled us to collect all required evidence fast. The level of service from the Scytale was beyond our expectations.

Edden, our account manager was super helpful, resourceful, and reassuring. Her experience contribute a lot to the success of the audit.

Even with Scytale there was a lot of work to be done and I hoped to put less effort of me and some of the team for it.
Having said that, the confidence we got from Scytale and Edden during this process were very important for us.

What do you like best about the product?
Scytale's automation capabilities saved us a ton of time on our evidence collection process. The team's expert guidance and leadership made navigating the complex SOC 2 certification process seamless. This solution was exactly what we needed to manage such a comprehensive undertaking efficiently. The team is fantastic to work with.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are multiple ways to organize your information in the dashboard (e.g. by controls or by audit), and depending on which way you choose, the information doesn't update in the other view, so it can appear that your progress is incomplete or not being captured.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scytale handles the refinement of our internal security policies, automates evidence collection, coordinates penetration testing, and manages the audit process.

What do you like best about the product?
CJ Bergs provided exceptional guidance and support throughout our SOC 2 compliance process. She walked us through each step in detail, clearly explaining the requirements and what we needed to provide. We were never left to figure things out on our own—her consistent communication and weekly check-ins ensured we stayed on track and made steady progress. Her expertise, proactive approach, and commitment to our success made the entire process far smoother and less daunting than we anticipated.

We didn't encounter any issues or areas of concern. Our experience was a positive one.

As a startup, we recognized the need to obtain our SOC 2 certification but lacked the in-house expertise and resources to manage the process effectively. Scytale provided the guidance and support we needed, enabling our small team to navigate the requirements with confidence. Their structured approach and expert assistance allowed us to achieve compliance efficiently without diverting significant time and resources from our core operations.
Good service
What do you like best about the product?
It was efficient and quick to work with Scytale. Their platform has a whole suite of valuable integration to make quick work of a ISO or a SOC 2 framework. Our Account Manager CJ Bergs has been excellent in managing our partnership and helping getting us certified.
What do you dislike about the product?
Mainly cost. We have moved away from Scytale for this reason. Competitor offered much better rates
