Simple and Free

  • March 11, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can fully organize and manage your passwords for free. It is easy to navigate and easy to sign up. I also like that it gives you insight into whether or not the passwords you have chosen are secure or need to be updated.
What do you dislike about the product?
You can only save your passwords on EITHER desktop or the app with the free version. I understand why this is, but it does make it tougher. I also don't love that their main coloring is red so it often makes me feel like I made an error when inputting information because their emphasis color is red.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have to have a lot of passwords for my work and I am always having to update them to keep them secure. Lastpass allows me to make sure that I am keeping track of them. I also have really gotten in the habit of updating Lastpass whenever I update a password so it fits seamlessly into my work now.

LastPass is not the ideal password manager

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It serves it's purpose somewhat as a means to store and share passwords.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's clunky, limited, and I get frequent emails about security breaches they've encountered.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LastPass offers a way to store passwords and share them with others who have a LastPass account.

Excellent for storing your passwords in a safe place

  • March 03, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is a perfect tool for storing your tools securely and not having to memorize a thousand different passwords (or worse, repeat the same one on different sites).

Additionally, it allows you to access from different devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes when clearing the cache I have to log in again and the process is somewhat slow. Also, it had a security breach last year. It seems that there have been no consequences, but I think it's important to keep it in mind.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to save and organize all my passwords for my work. The truth is that it has become an essential tool for my day-to-day. Oh, and even though it may seem silly, it saves me time thinking of new passwords, as you can generate them automatically.

Good but sometimes autofills wrong

What do you like best about the product?
a helpful tool to remember your passwords and does a good job of storing them all. I like the fact it auto-fills passwords into the corresponding boxes
What do you dislike about the product?
It has had a fair few security breaches which do scare me as obviously you want maximum protection over passwords as many sites to contain secretive details etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saves you from having to have a physical record and copy of your passwords, i like the fact it has a master password that ISNT saved to access all your passwords too. It also saves time inputting logins

Cancelling is a nightmare

  • March 01, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The setup was easy, while I used it didn't have a problem until the data breach.
What do you dislike about the product?
Canceling your subscription is borderline impossible. I would say the UX was predatory.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Password management

Used to be good, very disappointed by data breach and unfair/stealth charges with no refund

  • February 23, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
UX/UI is sleek across different devices and apps
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that they charge users without heads up on annual renewal + refuse to refund even if complained within minutes of the charge is disappointing. They also make users jump through multiple hoops and customer support was unhelpful and almost rude, and they even insist on phone calls as a way of communication to make everything even harder.

They had data breach that was handled bery untransparently - and even the case that some of my passwords were at risk, but I didn't get any email about that (learned it from a third party tool alert). They only added sneaky label in the app next to my passwords, without a notification of any sort.

I am bery disappointed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Friction around remembering multiple passwords while making them hard enough; ans friction around manually filling out passwords every time I log in somewhere.

Good for personal, okay for password sharing within a team. Concerns about breaches.

What do you like best about the product?
We have some shared accounts and folders that make it really simple and secure to have shared passwords and accounts. SSO works quite streamlessly. Overall, easy to keep everything in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
The set up can be quite confusing. It's not the most intuitive platform out there. In the past few months they have had some data leaks and breches, which brings up general concerns of the true security of the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm a user, so in terms of solving problems it's good to keep passwords in one place, generating secure passwords, sharing keys and passwords with team members, etc.

Terrible..

  • February 06, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
That some things are easy to do - like the most basic of things.

I have been a personal LP user for wow like 15 years or so? I've been both a paid and free user. Not bad (other than the data breaches.. but different story) and I never needed customer service.
What do you dislike about the product?
The customer service is a joke.

Do yourself a favor and avoid paying this company.

The past 3 years I have been at a company with about 900 LP users and the SERVICE STINKS! ABSOLUTELY IS ATROCIOUS!
We pay close to 70k a year for JUNK customer service (data breaches aside). My tickets which don't seem terribly difficult to me- billing questions, some account mergers etc have taken MONTHS to be resolved and that is me emailing every few days for some type of update. Some type of correspondence.
And that has also never worked- I have consistently, on EVERY ticket with them, have had to open a new phone call ticket for some type of update. You should see my 'cases' list. It's insane and me just asking for updates. My last ticket hasn't had a reply from them in 2 weeks.

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!
I'm trying to convince my team that the hassle with LP isn't worth it and I'd rather go through the pain of migrating than having to deal with this vendor any longer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
storing and sharing passwords amongst teams

To many exposures

What do you like best about the product?
Good functionality, clarity of stored accounts and credentails, easy sharing and good controls. The web pugin is snappy, loads rtapidly and detects fields to populate immediatally.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lastpass vault gets breached too many times in a year and the company itslef does not disclouse true state of the imapct on users as well as the time frame on breach. Untrusted tech.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Woking in dinamic environment/business will always enforce vide tange on user to have miltiple accounts that do not support SSO. This is where the LastPass comes hande to capture these for you and reduct risk on the low password complexity and stored in the untrusted location. Last pass keep this safe and accessable. This usnt just limited to web/site/tool passowrds but can also sahre and store other files.

LastPass is a Winner

What do you like best about the product?
If you're like most people, you have dozens of passwords that you have to remember. And if you're like most people, you probably use the same password for multiple accounts. This can be a major security risk. That's where LastPass comes in. LastPass is a password management solution that makes it easy to create and store your passwords so YOU don't have to remember them. It also makes it easy to share passwords with others. Best of all, it's zero-knowledge-based and password-protected, so your information is safe. I've been using LastPass for both my business and personal use for a while now and I love it. It's saved me a lot of time and hassle. I highly recommend it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Re-setting your 'Master' password can be a bit cumbersome however I think it is because they are being ultra careful to ensure you're identity is confirmed. I'd love to see it be a little more 'simple', if possible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LastPass mainly serves as our password manager however is also leveraged for password sharing, MFA, and SSO which has served to make me more efficient and effective.
