Airtable is one of the best no-code database softwares out there!
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, great functionality and user experience, build almost any solution needing a database! Compared to other similar products on the market (Smartsuite, Monday.com, Notion), Airtable is one of my favorites. The user experience feels seamless, very little friction, and not clunky at all.
What do you dislike about the product?
Love the interface features, but setting them up on your own can take quite a while. Also wish Airtable forms had a couple more features, such as creation pages/sections. I tend to use Fillout forms to create forms, which then connect to Airtable, because Airtable forms are missing some of the features Fillout has.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I tend to use Airtable when I need a robust database to store complex data objects. For instance, I've created a company CRM (customer relationship management) to track our company's customers, donations, purchase history, campaigns (events, cohorts, and free downloads) people have participated in, as well as communications. I've also created a company accounting/bookkeeping database to store our company's finances, which includes our chart of accounts, our payees, our grant expenses, and entire list of financial transactions (any money coming into or going out of our company).
Great database tool for beginners
What do you like best about the product?
As someone who's always juggling multiple projects, Airtable has been a game-changer for me, especially with its intuitive and easy-to-use interface. Even if you don’t have any database experience, it feels familiar—kind of like a spreadsheet but with way more capabilities. I love how customizable it is; I can create fields, organize data in a way that makes sense to me (whether that's in a grid, calendar, or Kanban format), and even set up relational tables without needing to be tech-savvy. Plus, Airtable’s Interface feature allows everyone on my team to view data the way they prefer, which is a huge win for collaboration.
Speaking of collaboration, Airtable makes it super easy to work with others in real-time. You can leave comments, tag people, assign tasks, and track progress, which keeps everyone on the same page. The different views—whether you’re using the Kanban board for visualizing tasks, the calendar for deadlines, or the gallery for something like a photo catalog—give you so much flexibility depending on the project. And let’s not forget the automations! I’ve saved so much time by setting up automated workflows, and it integrates seamlessly with tools like Google Workspace and Slack, which I already use.
For beginners, the selection of pre-built templates is a lifesaver. It’s perfect for getting started quickly without feeling overwhelmed, which I really appreciated when I first began using it.

What do you dislike about the product?
As much as I enjoy using Airtable, there are definitely a few limitations that stand out. While it's fantastic for beginners, it can feel a bit basic for more advanced needs. If you're looking for complex querying or need to manage larger-scale operations, Airtable might not have all the features you’d expect from a more powerful database tool.
One specific frustration I’ve had is with its Interfaces. For example, you can't create a calendar that pulls data from two different tables, which feels really limiting when you're trying to get a full picture of overlapping projects or timelines. It forces you to work within some pretty tight constraints.
Another downside is the lack of offline access. Airtable requires an internet connection to function, which can be a real drawback if you need to work on the go or in places where Wi-Fi is spotty. I’ve definitely run into a few situations where I wished I could make updates or check something without being online.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable is solving the problem of organizing our programs and projects in a way that’s both structured and flexible. It allows us to design our workflows exactly how we need them, whether it’s tracking tasks, deadlines, or resources. The ability to customize tables, views, and fields means we can tailor it to fit our specific processes, which keeps everything streamlined and easy to manage. This flexibility helps our team stay on top of multiple projects at once, ensures collaboration across teams, and gives us the transparency we need to stay aligned and productive.

We use Airtable to create highly effective, custom apps and tools for clients
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is extremely customizable and requires minimal knowledge of coding. It can take a bit of time to get used to and understand its capabilities, but once you become familiar with it, it is extremely powerful.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't a lot that I dislike about Airtable. The biggest downside is just the learning curve involved to feel fully comfortable inside Airtable, however they have a great support community to provide help when needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable helps us manage our rhythm of daily tasks, as well as organizing our long-term projects and strategies. We use Airtable as a CRM, project management tool, inventory system, scheduling calendar, and more.
Airtable is super easy to use and I love it
What do you like best about the product?
Super easy to use and helps keep our team organized. There are so many features to sort through data to help make our team run more efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I wish Airtable had was a direct integration with Excel or Sheets. We would like to have our data linked to other spreadsheets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable is a one stop shop for all of my project management needs. It helps me keep projects organized and has the ability for me to add tasks and dependencies in the tool.
Customizable to your needs
What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Airtable since 2020 and have loved the flexibility and customization it provides me. I use it across my department in higher education for tracking events, internal CRM like data, marketing and so much more. It's been something that I've even spoken about at conferences to showcase it's flexibility and ability to improve efficiency within similar teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like every platform, there are certain features that are locked down based on your subscription level. Because I started using it very early on, it was difficult to see some features go behind a paywall and their education plan shifted its pricing structure too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable supports our CRM like data, event management, marketing and more. It makes things simple to use and update while also providing access to non-users.
Easy to use and straight to the point!
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable has an intuitive design - it is very easy to use! I love all the integrations with other software, it makes things easier and more efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
Perhaps more flexibility with permissions would be ideal.

1- Collaborative work across different departments.
2- More visibility.
3- Real time saving and version management.

Streamlined workflow
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable has been so helpful with data we manually track in terms of attendance, events, and staffing. Many of the previously labor intensive duties of tracking have been streamlined by using it. I use Airtable so frequently that I have it set to open as I open my browser in the morning.
Using Airtable has enabled our team to easily produce visuals of our data, and quickly pull numbers from the grid views. The filtering, grouping, and sorting options make data easy to find and well organized. Utilizing the new interfaces has allowed a "one-stop shop" or hub that can be used as a directory for staff to many resources.
I have never been so fast to recommend a software for use at work!! I hope that our org is able to officially integrate it into our systems at some point, because it's been incredibly useful with streamlining work with manual data tracking. The forms are relatively easy to format and set up for use. I appreciate the many different levels of sharing for collaboration versus viewing for forms, bases, and more. The help documentation is incredibly robust, and I appreciate that you can also use inline code for automations, etc.

What do you dislike about the product?
I believe it would be more helpful if there was more insight into the security measures taken by airtable, as well as org integration capabilities! So far I have not found many difficulties that are truly limiting how helpful the software is to my duties.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Previously we were using excel filters, formulas, etc. to pull data and format it. This was more labor intensive than simply using Airtable's filters or groupings.
This has saved a lot of time and ensured the data is not modified in the process.
Airtable's levels of collaboration have also ensured the proper levels of permissions for users internally and externally. The level of customization has been extremely helpful to keep links organized, as well as making sure the proper users have access.
The interface element has been useful as a hub to ensure all of the forms, views, etc. are all in one place and easy to access for users with permission.
Airtable has overall assisted in streamlining the majority of my workflow. It is much easiser to review history within rows as well to ensure data has not been incorrectly modified.

I particularly appreciate the robust automations—it has streamlined so many of our workflows.

What do you dislike about the product?
While I don’t have many complaints, I would love to see an Airtable and Notion integration in the future. That would take the platform to the next level for our team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable is helping us address the need for a highly flexible project management and database solution that fits our unique business requirements. Before using Airtable, we struggled to find a ready-made product that could manage our workflows without forcing us to adapt to rigid structures or use multiple tools to do so. Airtable’s customizable features have allowed us to create a solution tailored to our exact needs.
Comprehensive solution that continues to add more features and functionality
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use and visibility of data at a high and grandular level
