Airtable Has Been a Game Changer

  • November 01, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
After making the switch to Airtable about a year ago, I can confidently say it has been a game changer for our team. We started with the basics, simply entering tasks, but the product has evolved with us, expanding into approvals, workflows, tracking, communication, capacity planning, and so much more.

One of the standout features of Airtable is its ease of use. The intuitive interface allows our team to adapt quickly, making it accessible for everyone, regardless of their technical background. This has significantly boosted our productivity and collaboration.

What truly impresses me is how the platform continually surprises us with new features just when I think we’ve mastered it. Each update reignites my enthusiasm and enhances our daily operations.

Additionally, the connection we have with the platform is invaluable. We can share suggestions and recommendations for improvements, and I’m thrilled to see that some of our ideas have been implemented.

I’m genuinely grateful our company chose to embrace this platform, and I’m excited to see how we’ll continue to leverage it in the future!
What do you dislike about the product?
I was genuinely excited to start using Airtable, but the onboarding process didn't quite meet our expectations. It seemed there was a lack of communication regarding the level of engagement and specific tasks required from both our team and the platform for a successful implementation. As a result, we initially found ourselves with a tool that didn’t fully align with our business needs. However, the platform’s user-friendly design allowed us to quickly adapt and customize it to fit our specific requirements. Once we navigated past that initial hurdle, our experience improved significantly.

One area where I believe there could be enhancement is in communication about upcoming features and options. While I understand that not all ideas may come to fruition, having insight into the roadmap of potential updates would be incredibly beneficial. It would also be helpful to be informed about smaller changes—like new dropdown options or the ability to sort features alphabetically. These seemingly minor updates can make a significant difference for our team, and knowing about them in advance could encourage wider usage and engagement with the platform.

Overall, despite the rocky start, things have gone smoothly, and I’m looking forward to seeing how Airtable continues to evolve. With improved communication around future developments, I believe we can maximize our experience and fully leverage the platform's capabilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our initial use case for Airtable was simply to track tasks and clarify responsibilities. We began using the platform for this purpose, but it didn’t take long for us to discover its extensive capabilities. We’ve been leveraging the platform to manage every aspect of our team—from tasks and projects to products and our roadmap. Having all our data centralized in one location simplifies integration and allows for seamless comparison across different areas.

Great Tool, Easy to Use!

  • October 31, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to use and intuitive, you can figure out how to do quite a bit just by exploring and playing around within a base. Especially like the different views to view data, forms, and notifications that can be set up based on forms or just anytime new data is entered. Their customer support is also great; very responsive, they are proactive about alerting when anything in Airtable might be down or slow, and they have a multitude of resources to help you learn how to do just about anything within Airtable that might be a little bit more complex or that you feel you just need a bit more guidance on.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the filtering might make you think that some of your information is missing if you forget that you have your data filtered.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They are a more interactive and visually appealing form of Excel.

An Incredibly Powerful Tool to Unite Internal Teams

  • October 31, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Airtable streamlines and democratizes our data management by combining the functionality of spreadsheets and databases, making it easy to track projects, manage properties, and coordinate teams in real-time.

Templates and automation tools simplify task management and continue to become more powerful from guest communication workflows to inventory tracking and planning. Its collaborative features enable cross-departmental visibility, ensuring seamless communication among teams like Operations, Sales, and Marketing. Additionally, integration with other software boosts efficiency, helping teams quickly adapt to changing needs in the fast-paced hospitality industry.
What do you dislike about the product?
My biggest issues with the current versioning of Airtable are similar to other scaling enterprise solutions, simple requests don't always move fast enough and your feedback can get lost in the roadmap abyss.

For example, the interface app builder is highly limted in its current ability to string multiple data tables together on single pages. Solutions can be inflexible to rigid rules without clarity as to when these will be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a product manager at a hospitality startup, Airtable is an invaluable tool that helps us solve core business challenges by streamlining product management, data handling, and project coordination—all without heavy engineering resources. It enables us to build and modify workflows specific to our team’s needs, like tracking product development cycles, managing feature backlogs, and aligning our roadmap with our growth objectives.

The no-code app functionality allows us to quickly create custom applications that solve real problems for our team, such as tracking property data, managing guest communication workflows, and organizing sales leads. With Airtable’s data management capabilities, we can centralize information from various sources, making it easy to analyze and drive decisions that keep our product evolving and aligned with market needs. For project management, Airtable’s real-time collaboration and task tracking ensure that our team remains in sync, meets deadlines, and adapts quickly to changes, keeping us agile in a fast-paced industry.

Since 2020 I have been building Operational Excellence with Airtable

  • October 31, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Airtable allows me to build digital tools on my own. Year by year, or rather month by month, more and more advanced features are available.

Thanks to Airtable, Digital Transformation in my organization is fast and with a lot of fun. Our activities are aimed at work efficiency and at the same time at the satisfaction of users and participants of digitalized processes.

After implementing Inretfaces, Airtable has gained a new dimension as a full-fledged tool for business analytics, and the ability for distributed users to add data using Forms causes a fast and cost-free increase in important data from users, which we previously either did not collect or neglected, storing on local PCs.

Airtable Interface capabilities allow you to build complex dashboards with capabilities sometimes unattainable in other specialized BI platforms. For example, combinations of charts, forms, and attachment repositories on a single dashboard.

The ease of working with Airtable has resulted in a rapid increase in the competence of creating digital tools by non-IT employees. Thanks to this, over the course of several years we have developed dozens of useful tools and management systems across the entire organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
For today, I am writing "for today" because watching the development of Airtable I expect that in the future these functionalities will be expanded, I miss two things.
First, the ability to create more complex data charts in Interfaces. And second, a mobile application for Android supporting Interfaces.
I am writing of course from the point of view of an advanced, long-time user building large management systems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable supports the digitization of distributed processes in which SCADA, MES or ERP systems cannot be used.
Task, project and project portfolio management have gained a new dimension thanks to Airtable.
Thanks to the ability to independently shape databases, forms and user dashboards, the efficiency of project portfolio management has increased by hundreds of percent. I have had experience with management systems and each of them had its limitations in creating functionality tailored to a specific organization.
I also built a Daily Management System on a scale never used before. The system is also tailor-made. It is amazing that thanks to the ease of development with Airtable, we expand it every month with new functions and our systems grow with the growth and development of Airtable.

10/10 Always

What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is excel on steroids. It's intuitive; easy to use, share, and it's a fantastic tool to help you analyze information at scale, or, to use when building a product. Implementation is easy (it even helps you stay organized), their customer support is very helpful, they recently rolled out a new feature that helps you with hard formulas (which helps eliminate time waiting for help/ support), it integrates with just about everything and has an API if an integration doesn't exist. We use this tool every single day - and I don't know how my team would be able to work so quickly across multiple projects without it.

I've used it at multiple companies, championed it internally to have the organization purchase the Enterprise plan so that we could enable our clients to have more transparency into their projects, and have influenced others in purchasing and using it.

Safe to say - I am a huge fan.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you have someone who is a slow adopter or is a luddite -- getting them to adopt to Airtable can be challenging (because they do not want to put their email in). Other than that - there's nothing else.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping us scale quickly (no code dev), managing projects and product development efficiently. It also helps my team keep track of every single thing they do - so clients always know what's going on on their project(s).

Airtable works great for planning and tracking my events

  • October 30, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite Airtable feature is the built-in surveys. I need my presenters to submit information about their presentations, and I can easily collect and store that information in Airtable. The presenters submit their bios, headshots, and session descriptions in an integrated survey that automatically populates my Airtable base. With this feature, I can store it in a place that is easy for my team to work with.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have a hard time remembering how to link the bases effectively. Also, I wish Airtable had a feature to limit the survey responses. For example, I need the session descriptions to be limited to 200 words, but Airtable does not enforce that limit in their response.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is an easy way to collect information and store it on one place where everyone on my team has access.

Airtable has changed our business

What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility and automated concepts that allow our business to connect with other divisions. Easy to use and implement.
What do you dislike about the product?
The low code also has it's down falls. It allows groups to work in a bubble that have very little technical skills.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's allowing us to track campaigns from beginning to end. Track deliverables requested and giving us the metadata we need to create API connectivity and automations.

A bit of a learning curve but worth it

  • October 30, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Airtable has become super invaluable to our org! It's been instrumental in streamlining a lot of our team's workflows via automation and diverse integrations that are allowed with AT. We use it every day and is quite important for our team's daily functions. Integrating apps within AT is also been pretty easy to do.

While it has a bit of a learning curve, it's well worth it. There's many resources within Airtable's help center, forums, youtube and other online sources because it's widely used. Even team members with limited technical experience is able to navigate it especially now that there's interfaces. There's also frequent feature updates and webinars that keep customers informed of the new stuff being churned out.

Also whenever we've come across issues, customer support has been steller in making suggestions and figuring out what the problem might be.
What do you dislike about the product?
As I mentioned, there's a slight learning curve. Some of the field types can get a little difficult to use but there's a lot of resources again to help with this. For a bigger company like ours, you need more storage which gets costly and it's actually made our base slower.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable provides low-to-no code solutions which is helpful for the more "scrappier" teams within larger orgs.

Most efficient database

  • October 29, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the security and organization of Airtable. Everything in Airtable practically has tutorials or help articles so you'll never feel helpless. It can also handle many records or data entries while still being efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how you are limited to only 50 automations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For me and my company, Airtable makes it easy to manage, create, and edit records or fields in my database. This benefits us because it reduces our workload on records. Automations has also been really helpful for us.
