Great team/project management tool!

What do you like best about the product?
A great mix between a spreadsheet and a database. It is very easy to build and change and fits the needs of multiple departments and priorities.
What do you dislike about the product?
There seem to be some limitations of filtering using both the "and" and "or" filters simultaneously.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Airtable to manage the marketing activities for multiple products/shows that are all happening at the same time but at different stages of the marketing process. Since starting using Airtable, we have managed to improve project management and have kept our projects on time.

Great data management tool for field research and sales

What do you like best about the product?
Our team was previously using Google Sheets to enter client contact data and track sales activities. When scaled to 5 sales members, this became a mess - so many misspellings and differently formatted dates, etc. Airtable is super useful to help us standardize much of our data entry through fields like single and multiple select. It was also really easy to link these records - just format the field and copy/paste the unique ID. The calendar view option has also been great to see our daily operations and the upcoming tasks scheduled.
What do you dislike about the product?
Airtable is great, but still relatively new and I'm sure many things are under development. The key missing feature is the ability to separate data which can be viewed by managers and individual field agents. We'd like to have 1 database which can be used by managers to see all sales' agents data in one place; however, to do this, the sales agents will all have access to each other's data (not preferred from a data security standpoint). Our only option is to create separate databases for each sales person and then manually copy/paste the data into a new workbook. (Note: A Zapier integration can be used to automatically add new entries from one workbook into a master workbook - but it only works for NEW entries and will not update existing records.)

The other key feature missing for us is offline capability, which is essential for rural areas anywhere in the world (including the US).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our data was previously too difficult to manage and we had limited ability to summarize and analyze for the big picture. Our individual users also had difficulty finding linked records, which limited their ability to use the data they had already entered. Our sales executives are now saying this is really easy to use and they're finding new ways to manage their client visits. At the management level, we're seeing fuller and better quality data and excited about all of the new possibilities to see the data.

Accessibility of current data (i.e. ease of importing existing information from current databases such as Google Drive, eTapestry, EmailMeForm, etc.)
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't import existing forms from databases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Combining project information/data from multiple sources. Ease of creating tables and records..

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of collaboration, filtering and UI. Like the ability to select field types.
What do you dislike about the product?
Does not have true spreadsheet capabilities - formulas and links between tables are still limited although it may be that we are not fully familiar with the product. Forms needs some work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team collaboration, data management, reporting
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Highly recommend giving it a try. It is easy to set up so should be easy to test it out and know quickly whether it meets your needs

Using Airtable for school

What do you like best about the product?
Love that it is accessible anywhere without having to download a software. So easy to use, very user friendly for anyone looking to organize and display a large amount of data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would love if possible to link across multiple databases. As it is now, we have to repeat a lot of data across the different databases. But! This is a slight drawback and the benefits far outweigh this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable makes it possible for staff of 6 people to manage a school within a college that has anywhere from 200 - 250 students a semester.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need to sort and store a lot of data, track multiple things from project to project, and use something that everyone on the team can use no matter where you are-- Airtable is for you.

Best tool ever!

What do you like best about the product?
I love AirTable for keeping all of my information in one place. The processes for my work involve communicating with a lot of different people and AirTable makes it easy to share the information I need to without sending out a million notifications or fidgeting with access settings.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing as of yet, although I do wish I could have had some customization re: color of forms at the Free level.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a central hub for data/process/operations/program management. The best benefit: managing permissions up front so that you don't have to do it every time you share! AND I love the capacity to hide certain fields when sending out tables...genius!

Airtable: Great database for our group collaboration data needs

What do you like best about the product?
It allows us to migrate data from many spreadsheets into one collaborative online view.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, there's nothing I dislike, though I wish I could have imported old mob files directly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've been able to take nearly 20 years of donor history from spreadsheets for our small non-profit and make them available to our board to see trends, etc. This has allowed us to target solicitations in terms of both amounts and continuity and increase donations by 24%.

What do you like best about the product?
The templates were really helpful in giving us a framework to work from. Knowing what's possible in AirTable allowed us to essentially "plug-and-play" and get up and running with only a small learning curve. The interface is intuitive because we are familiar with how spreadsheets work. All that said, the "Block" widgets are by far the best feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
The time it takes for the support team to get back to you can be improved. We'd like to see the ability to "lock" certain fields. There is currently no way to add a "required" field. This is relevant when creating a form for data input. The cost structure for this platform can be considered on the higher end for a "spreadsheet / database". There is no rich-text formatting for notes. We'd like to see the ability to track emails in future builds. This is relevant to building a more robust CRM.

What do you like best about the product?
We have been trying to build a database of patrons and donors for our theatre company without having to deal with programmers and databases. Airtable is perfect for that.
What do you dislike about the product?
learning curve is a little steep. requires support. Support is good but not as responsive.
