Great, simple product to get organized.
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is very simple to navigate and get your bearings quickly. They also offer a lot of support.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a fairly new user to the product, I have not yet found many dislikes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our primary goal is to solve team communication and collaboration, particularly when it comes to our organization's master calendar. As an academic unit within a major research university, we have multiple departments doing multiple events that often overlap each other, and Airtable is helping us take the guess work out.
The most useful product I have
What do you like best about the product?
The swiss army knife for every operation task I need. It is very felxible and you can manage EVERYTHING with it.

What do you dislike about the product?
In many scenarios I want it to replace Excel but it cannot always do it. Especially when need to create simple math functions or to sum rows.
So I use both Excel/Google-sheets for finance calculations and planning and Airtable for all the rest.

Project management, office inventory, hiring, roadmap planning, employee welcome board and more.

It might take you a few days/hours to understand the real power of it, so give it some time.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of linking information in different ways. People to services, services to prices, accounts to people.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there isn't the scope to make a column display information exactly the way you like and retain its functionality, it's one or the other. Often you have to make a hidden column and then another to retrieve data from the hidden column and reformat it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quite a few. Timetabling, staff profiles, asset management, event planning, you name it.
Excellent for Database Management
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable allows me to sync my company's inventory databases across all of my devices. I can access quantities, images, and other details of my items. This comes in handy when I'm away at a show and need to know how much product I still have on hand.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't a good option for printing data. The image tile screen would be perfect for printing an inventory list, but it isn't formatted for it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Inventory quantity management is by far my used used feature. I can also view how many materials I have on hand. I can reference all of my color and product options on hand for my customers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend Airtable to any user currently struggling with Excel (lack of features) or Access (difficult to use). It offers the strengths of both with none of the difficult. Exceptionally user-friendly and easy to setup.
The best task organizer out there
What do you like best about the product?
Unlike other software I've used in the past like Asana and Trello, AirTable is built for collaboration. The tables are all incredibly customizable and it's easy to integrate streamlined task management that touches multiple hands. Absolutely necessary if you have remote workers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing of substance I see wrong with it. Maybe the initial learning curve? But that was easy to get over after just poking around for a little while
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a lot of remote contributors and this has helped us all maintain a schedule and deadlines. We've also been able to identify who has been getting loaded with work and who is squeaking by with an empty plate because each task has individual assignees.
Fabulous live-time collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Unlike other services that have a delay with syncing updates to forms, AirTable syncs automatically and all changes are up-to-date for all users. AirTable allows us to easily create forms where the data entered is also added to searchable databases, eliminating the need for us to transfer information from paper forms.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited sharing of bases with the free version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have decreased data loss and mix-up from out of date documents stored on different staff computers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need a platform that allows for live-time file collaboration, simple form/survey creation, and a clean interface this is a great product.
Great Collaboration Software
What do you like best about the product?
We are organization that has seen a huge amount of growth over the past few years. Airtable allows our small staff to manage a lot of tasks while working independently.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a learning curve and a bit of complexity to the software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a director over-seeing a very independent staff, I am able to coordinate tasks and make sure required work is happening on an efficient timeline.
Good upgrade from Google Sheets for a basic database front end
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of set up. We had a 9 table database, and we were able to easily upload and link all the tables. Convention of using the first column as a primary key (as opposed to IDs) made a lot of sense, once we got used to the idea. Once set up, we had people in various roles who could enter data safely.
What do you dislike about the product?
We could have used more control over who can edit what. User groups, with table & field level permissions would help, if they could be opt-in and easy to set up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a nonprofit who needed to compile information from foia'd government forms into a well-structured database. Airtable allowed many people to collaborate on this task. Google sheets wasn't enough, because it doesn't do relationships very well. And we didn't have time or resources to build a dedicated web app for this.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Look at it if you want to make a front end for a basic database. Make sure the permission model works for you.

Easier than Excel, great color coding system, easy to share with a colleague and live edit

some functions are somewhat over-engineered, new users take a bit of time to learn

Using Airtable to track influencers we keep in touch with, easy to put them into categories and searchable.

What do you like best about the product?
Variety of workspaces and powerful tools. Easy to customize. Easy to collaborate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Scrolling through large sheets can be slow. The spreadsheet tool, although highly useful, is still a substitute for a more powerful program like Excel
