Awesome team collaboration & organization software

  • July 24, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Very user friendly, straightforward interface, easy to customize, collaborate with team members and export data. It makes working on multiple projects so easy and organized. The ability to customize any base is also key - it's easy to organize different projects in a seamless manner that anyone can understand. I'm able to either add a collaborator or export the information I compile to share with others that are not Airtable users. Also, the pre-populated templates are extremely helpful - I've used a bunch of these already to help me keep different tasks/projects organized in their own 'base' but accessible on the same platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because it includes everything you need to organize/collaborate, there's a lot to learn, but again - very straightforward and easy to learn.....and you don't need to be an expert coder or tech guru!!! It just takes time to learn the features, but with practice, you'll learn in no time. Also, the language is simple and easy to understand unlike some other platforms that are not easy to utilize.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Disorganization, multiple platforms for team collaboration. Airtable provides a perfect solution to reduce time spent on updating/syncing files, miscommunication throughout teams, and chaos of working on multiple projects at once.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're tired of using 1,000 spreadsheets to record information, plan, collaborate, organize, etc...Airtable is worth the investment and will make task/project management & team collaboration MUCH easier!

The perfect project management system!

  • July 24, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Finally, a project management system that fulfills ALL our department needs! The platform is very easy to use and even easier to customize for each individual project's needs. We love the many view types each base can have; allowing each team member to view/digest project information in whatever makes the most sense to their brain. The extensive library of templates is very helpful for having a frame of reference for what the templates capacity is and/or inspiration of how to best lay out information for varying project types. It's extremely helpful that we can attach documents to individual tasks within a base to keep specific items together in one place. The color coding functionality is a huge time saver when trying to quickly identify tasks or project holes that need to be addressed from a macro view point. There is ample training modules on different functions/views/templates etc to ensure you are able to utilize the platforms full-functionality to increase organization of information and efficiency of your team. We're very impressed with the AirTable platform and look forward to using it as our team continues to expand.
What do you dislike about the product?
We tested out numerous platforms but none had multiple features and views that met the needs of our full team like AirTable does. The platform itself has an extensive amount of features which can be overwhelming at first glance. We're still learning the full capacity of the platform but foresee it being an easy and quick adjustment for our entire department.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Efficient communication, organization of information, maintaining and updating timelines/deadlines. Our department wears many diverse "hats" and are in need of a platform that is both flexible and robust in its ability to retain, organize, and highlight information in different capacities for all team members involved. We've created multiple bases to manage our various department responsibilities, ranging from a content calendar for social media/digital communications; a graphic design queue for all marketing initiatives; grant application timelines/scope; special event logistics and budgeting; marketing material requests from other departments; and plan to continue to create bases for each of our initiatives.

    Higher Education

A Game Changer for Seemingly Everything

What do you like best about the product?
Airtable's calendar features and form options make it really stand out as database software. It feels like half of the tasks associated with my job got 10 times easier once I dove in and started using it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the platform's flexibility tempts you to use it for nearly everything, and you run in to situations where a relational database doesn't get the job done. Finding uses that make sense for the Kanban system, for instance, aren't obvious to me. However, integrating third party automation services more than make up for these limitations. Additionally, AirTable is a little daunting at first glance, but makes sense pretty quickly when you start to get your hands dirty.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm using Airtable to take and process requests to schedule technological instruction sessions in a higher education environment. I'm also using it to track the condition of an inventory of circulating digital media equipment. It has also been invaluable in planning a complex video production project.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just try it! The features in the free version are generous, and the added benefits of a paid plan are easily worth the cost. There is no worthy alternative.

We are a small startup in the nonprofit world and Airtable is helping us getting organized

What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is simple yet has all the important options needed in an advanced database. The views are perfect for visual people. It is a smart system for any business field or any subject in life.
What do you dislike about the product?
Airtable is missing some of its important views on the mobile app (the calendar view is one example)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In our field we need to track progress on projects where we have different people involved. Through airtable, all contributors can work, update and instantly share those changes with the rest of the team. All the related information is stored in one base and all the details are connected in a smart way. With different options for instantly updated views, each team member accesses the base any time and reviews the data she is working on in the way she needs to see it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Watch their tutorial, they help a lot.

What do you like best about the product?
Simple, easy, potent way to organize & collaborate vital information on many levels.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be a bit expensive having a lot of shared collaborators on the Pro level. Yet it does give value.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Non-profit organizational lists, organizing members, tracking ongoing information, needs, wants on all levels.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Strongly recommend Airtable, and worth studying it to gain it's full potential.

Great tool for research collaboration

  • July 23, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to view our data in spreadsheet and gallery view is very helpful for analysis. It serves the dual purpose of having a searchable database and organizational spreadsheet.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish you could customize the size of image previews in both spreadsheet and gallery views. We use a lot of images as data and they appear as a thumbnail. Would like for them to be larger.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were searching for an organizational tool that could function as a database. The fact that this tool is cloud-based makes real time collaboration easier without needing to worry too much about version control.

    Non-Profit Organization Management

Multi-use & Versatile

  • July 23, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Incredible versatility of the bases, and ability to collaborate across teams. Calendar function is a huge bonus. Incredibly easy to use, very intuitive. Everything about it makes sense.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing stands out as an issue. For what our organization needs, this is an ideal solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Improved collaboration across multiple offices; ability to see updates in real time; flexibility in base design. This has almost eliminated the need for using multiple MS office and other products to manage projects.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it ... you'll like it.

Endless Possibilities

  • July 23, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I absolutely love everything about Airtable, but in particular, I love how you can organize your data in an aesthetically beautiful and easy-to-understand way. It's also very intuitive yet powerful. Another thing I like about Airtable is that they offer a quite generous free plan. It gives you all you need in many situations. Their customer support representatives are always helpful, too!
What do you dislike about the product?
While there are some features I would like to see in the future, there's nothing I dislike about Airtable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're a small nonprofit organization that was founded only three years ago. Fortunately, we discovered Airtable less than a year later, and have been using it for everything from managing client data to scheduling to budget tracking. Airtable is so versatile that you can use it for every purpose you can think of, which helps reduce the number of online services you need to run your business. Instead of using multiple platforms such as Asana, Trello, Slack, Google Sheets, HubSpot...Airtable can potentially replace all those services, and keep everything in just one place.

Airtable for Educational Nonprofit

  • July 23, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the intuitive offers that are made by the app for what it thinks will be a help. It is not too intrusive, so the offers of help are welcome. I really like being able to relate multiple databases in a way that permits a nuanced experience for the user. I want to make it easy to get the best possible resources in front of a client as quickly as possible. Airtable allows this.
What do you dislike about the product?
Airtable does have a learning curve. There is lots of help along the way, but it can be daunting. Looking at examples of what is possible is very helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am trying to create an accessible database of teaching resources for educators, including various documents such as powerpoints, lessons, outlines, problem sets and answers to problem sets.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Plan on investing time on the front end, but worth the investment.
