A visually minimalistic work organizing solution with extensive capabilities
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable has excellent visual features that are easy to move around. There are a variety of views we can get about scheduled work and work in progress. Sometimes I prefer the calendar view or a Gantt chart, so Airtable keeps things flexible and responsive in that sense. Airtable isn't a huge expense and there are several plans offered to suit our needs for a given period of time. I like the blocks that we can add that can give us more interactive collaboration features. I also like the range of templates they have which can help us structure our projects and move us in the right direction.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing obvious that comes to mind that I really dislike about Airtable. It has been confusing for some other team members to use at times, which can cause some frustration to all involved, but that's not really something to fault Airtable about.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable helps our team to set out task and deadlines so we can all keep track of our progress towards group goals. It's easy enough for most people in our department to use, so we don't have to take too much time reading over instructions or doing lots of trial and error to get our projects set up and going. We are generally able to communicate with each other better and can focus more on actual work matters with less distractions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Airtable should help your team stay on track and be better informed about group activities on a daily basis. You should check out some of the project templates Airtable has to offer to get some of your initial projects of the ground faster.
Used daily for Organizing work done as an account manager
What do you like best about the product?
I like the customized views which is helpful in organizing everything I need to do on a daily basis.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that the program integrated with Salesforce and Zendesk and could be linked to Gmail to automate more of the information I am having to manually enter.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using Airtable to organize accounts with a small team. We are able to track our accounts grouped by account manager, the customer, all accounts associated with a specific customer, all important contacts for each account, meetings with each account, and task manage.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a great tool for organizing your projects. And there are many templates to help you get started.
Good project management
What do you like best about the product?
It's really visually appealing, so color-coding everything on an editorial calendar makes it easier to find what you're looking for.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I could make all freelancers viewers on my spreadsheets but only for things that apply to them. It's expensive to add users (even view-only) and even then tough to get them to see only what's applicable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was using a Google Doc previously, but now with Airtable I can have multiple tabs relate to one another as opposed to being completely separate.

If you've got the money, it's worth it!
Great product for prospecting
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, also I know this doesn’t speak to its overall function but I do love the color options within the program. It makes it easy to link contacts and track their progress with your company.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes needing to click through a few too many windows to make a new interaction, it’s workable but gets tedious once in a while.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Faster prospecting, ease of time management.
Online Excel that doesn't drive you crazy
What do you like best about the product?
the ability to color code your different projects, and collaborative abilities
What do you dislike about the product?
Pay wall, I understand this is for businesses but non-profits don't always have money for this
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Online social media calendars, the features mentioned above make it more convenient.
Great project management software
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it has similarities to excel so there isn’t much of a learning curve. I’ve used for managing campaigns. I also really like that tasks can be turned into calendar items based on the due date.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not too much in the way of ganatt charts or other time management features. Some features like
Creating one template and then copying and pasting over isn’t available. Have to use makeshift tactics
Creating one template and then copying and pasting over isn’t available. Have to use makeshift tactics
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
able to collaborate with my marketing team on projects and campaign in one space.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Good tool, won’t solve all of your project management needs
It is not the typical spreadsheet creation software you are used to working with.
What do you like best about the product?
I love how it keeps all the information organized for quick and easy tracking, it is particularly good at maintaining shared records that help you organize all your data without the need to create spreadsheets or tables that make your work more complicated. It has very useful and interesting features for editing your documents, such as inserting images, performance dashboards that keep you updated on the progress of whatever tasks or goals you need to achieve. Customer service is responsive, very friendly, with agents who really know the software and offer you the solution you need.
What do you dislike about the product?
For users who are experts in working with software based solely on spreadsheets, the functionalities may seem limited, so they will have to adapt to a more general experience in handling information in the way this tool implements it. The strict levels of permissions it presents for clients, by this I mean that they are limited to either not fully accessing a resource or simply viewing it without editing and sharing possibilities, makes the control over a resource or project very inflexible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has helped me organize my personal and work activities, as I use Airtable for both purposes. The simplicity with which I can build a planning process through the functions it offers has allowed me to be more productive day by day, fulfilling all the proposed activities for the week or for the projects I work on in my company. The use of blocks has improved our company's workflow, making our team efficient in decision-making and collaboration among our team members.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This software is more than a spreadsheet creation tool; the functions it offers lead to the management and design of project plans and activities at a completely new level, with unique organizational properties that adapt to any type of information entered. Regardless of the type of teams that will use it, they will find development, management, and collaboration functions very helpful for their workflow, whether they use it to put together a guest list for a wedding or to keep a development team informed about the software records in a database. The best experience and quality at all times.
AirTable Excellent for Multiple Tech Needs
What do you like best about the product?
I love that AirTable can fulfill numerous different functions that will eventually replace numerous tech platforms for us, including social media managers, content management systems, time tracking, and even our project management system. I also love that it can integrate with Zapier to automate capabilities, saving us a ton of time and potential for error by having to make duplicate entries in multiple tech platforms and systems in order to track our activities. I really appreciate that it can work as a middle ground between business users and our data/database experts, so that we can all use the same system despite having different skill sets and comfort levels with relational databases.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a fairly significant learning curve with Airtable because it does have so much functionality and benefits from careful process mapping. I also still prefer to clean and parse data with Excel, because those commands seem more intuitive and natural than manipulating and translating data in Airtable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable allows us to condense a lot of isolated tech and data platforms into one, which has cost savings and makes processes easier to implement and iterate across our entire organization because we only have to make those changes in a single platform's infrastructure.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Airtable really works best for tasks/processes with careful planning, process mapping, and a dedicated admin person. Its learning curve is high enough that we did have to dedicate significant internal resources to learning how to use and integrate Airtable before we could feel comfortable enough to change and/or dismantle our current internal processes.
Using AirTable to manage dynamic relationships
What do you like best about the product?
AirTable is extremely user-friendly. It allows you to easily set up tables and build relationships between them. Also, the multiplicity of features gives you ample tools to accomplish your tasks. I have been able to use AirTable to manage a complicated program and have show it to other colleagues who are implementing AirTable to solve other solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like that you cannot link records between bases. It would be helpful to have them link to other records so we can have large amounts of information in one place to disseminate to other bases as needed. Also, there is not much flexibility when it comes to embedding views on websites.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to track relationships between hundreds of legislators and our members as we facilitate the building of relationships. We are able to centralize our program and give access to those who need to see the information.
Best Organization Tool for Work
What do you like best about the product?
I am big on having something for organization and Airtable offers it! I like how easy it is to organize clients and their information while also being able to share it with my coworkers. We have a ton of clients we work with so I also love the tagging system in Airtable and how we can organize clients with tags. This had made workflow easier and has given us the chance to get more clients and build our business from the ground up.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the biggest thing I dislike is Airtable seems to switch over the tabs and filters when someone enters new ones or is viewing something. This makes it a little difficult for me and my coworkers to use it at the same time. We all work in different locations of the country so it's hard to communicate who is using what. It would be easier if filters and things like that changed if there are multiple users viewing projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's really helped us with organizing clients. Like I mentioned we have a ton of clients and it can get confusing but with the filter and tag system it's much easier to navigate clients and get their information.
