I absolutely LOVE AirTable and use it for EVERYTHING
What do you like best about the product?
As my review title says, I absolutely love AirTable and truly use it for EVERYTHING. I like how customizable it is, how it updates between platforms in real time as I'm working, and how easily I can track and manage information for multiple businesses and my personal life. It's MY FAVORITE.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside to AirTable is the fact that some of the features I need are only available in the paid version. I avoided paying for several years and had just figured out workarounds, but I finally bit the bullet this year and upgraded. It's worth it to have the features, but I don't like how the pricing is structured per user. It feels to expensive for small businesses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I run multiple businesses through AirTable, and it is helping me solve all kinds of problems! We can easily collect employee information for our employee roster/databases, we track payroll through it, keep track of projects and bookings, basically everything I need!
Excel on steroids
What do you like best about the product?
For a non programmer, not very technical marketeer, Airtable is a fantastic way to create interesting tables with complicated formulas, without actually have to write them. In no time I was able to create light in our planning darkness. with flexible views which were very usable for many different colleagues. That's one of the good things of Airtable: its even understandable for literally every person who has ever worked with MS Excel, and I would like to point out Airtable is probably even more convenient to use for them. After using it professionally for a year, I also use it in my personal life for different types of lists I like to have.
What do you dislike about the product?
The mobile version could use some improvements (it doesn't have all functions the desktop version has)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it as a planning tool to do marketing for 20+ new projects everyday, divided between 5 colleagues. With Airtable it's really easy to import all the projectdetails, assign it to the right persons, and those persons can use their own personal views to do the marketing project from A-Z.
Airtable is awesome!
What do you like best about the product?
Great interface. So much flexibility, yet still clean and structured. It is a database with all the flexibility of a spreadsheet.
What do you dislike about the product?
You can't send an individual record for someone to edit.
People can't save and continue a survey response.
The apps are great, but with out being able to limit the data that is seen they have little use with outside folks.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it for some complex project management. I use for various data collection projects. I use to create libraries of documents. Whenever I come across a problem I think about how I might be able to adapt airtable to solve it.
A good fit for my (very) small business
What do you like best about the product?
Detailed connections and relationships between data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Learning curve felt steep. Some of the functions not intuitive, and some I'm still fighting to figure out. Also, having all of my data in a web-based program rather than on my desktop makes me nervous.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was working with multiple spreadsheets showing different client relations and internal data and it was easy to miss details. Now all of the information is in one place, and it's quickly available - even while I'm on the phone with a client I can look at previous interactions to make sure I'm giving them all the pertinent information.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I was fortunate to have a temporary employee who helped set up Airtable, using my existing spreadsheets to get the basic framework in Airtable. That was very worth what I paid him.
Simple and User Friendly Database
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is straightforward to use, and my company has implemented AirTable within several business processes that include non-tech-savvy personnel. New features are introduced often, and the support is excellent with a great educational platform for learning more advanced functions.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love for more integrations, particularly with Microsoft. My company leverages SharePoint Online as an intranet, and having to set up roundabout ways to coordinate data between the two software is a pain point. It would also be great to provide a simple way to overcome pagination API issues where only the first 100 records export to the destination. The automations need to be further developed to become more robust with the triggers and actions available, and I still rely on other solutions to facilitate the automations I need for my processes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
QMS tracking, clinical trial operations, activity tracking, online forms, and laboratory sample accessioning. As a start-up in life sciences, software is a major cost that we actively try to decrease. AirTable has helped our company tremendously in saving costs by creating our own solutions in an easy-to-use cloud alternative to expensive software.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
AirTable is a great option for a relational database that many non-IT users can effectively leverage without much support.
Airtable is a game-changer for individuals AND businesses
What do you like best about the product?
So many things!
1) FREE TO USE: The ability to use the platform for free to determine your needs and to learn how to use it properly is truly phenomenal! You get to familiarize yourself with Airtable and learn how to adapt it to your needs.
2) COMMUNITY: Whether you're a newbie or an experienced database creator/manager/developer, you can find a community in the Marketplace, Universe, and boards to exchange information, find the best template, and even provide feedback on what works and doesn't work well.
3) AFFORDABLE: Providing the platform for free is phenomenal but when your needs expand and you need to look for something more robust, you can upgrade to the level that fits your budget without BREAKING it!
4) EVOLVING: The platform is ever-evolving and the feedback provided by users is taken into account when considering updates.

What do you dislike about the product?
While it's affordable for a single user, those who are part of a small business may find the licensing cost per seat to be outside their budget so I'd love to see a payment plan targeted at small businesses with less than 100 users to make it cost-effective.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it to track projects (both personal and business-related) and we are now using it as an agency to maintain shared information and store shared documents. Personally, it's helped me to stay organized and meet deadlines.
A great & very versatile tool
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable provides souped up spreadsheets; it's everything that you want in database management and tracking in an interface that's accessible for non-developers. I've used it for planning my wedding, automating intake forms for a nonprofit, CRM, and all manner of projects
What do you dislike about the product?
Airtable is great at what it's good at, but it won't replace all of your workflows. While it can do project tracking and kanban boards, it's not really structured around tasks, so it's not great with checklists and to do lists. It's great as a way to create categories and labels though. For the forms, it doesn't have a ton of flexibility in the format, but it allows you to do basic conditional logic which is nice. Exporting form responses does require some work with automations, however.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Planned a wedding and tracked guests, RSVP responses, and registry thank you notes all in one base. Created several automations for a nonprofit that needed to track support requests and donors. Also created an automated silent auction that allowed people to bid on items and send notifications when they were outbid. Airtable has saved us so much time with the automations and sorting and filtering features
Drives our whole business! Could not live without
What do you like best about the product?
How collaborative it is, leveraging the templates, the speed and ease of use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hard to find something! We don't leverage dashboards as much or play around with blocks so could maybe utilize the platform to more extent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a huge research database for us, it also drives all of our reporting and numbers, and serves as our CRM and ATS!
Excellent multiuse tool
What do you like best about the product?
I love how versitile the tool is. I've used other things like Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, etc and they were good, but not nearly as good as Airtable is.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a big jump between the free version which I use and the paid ones. I sort of wish I could pick which features I'd like to use and have an additional payment based on those. For example, I really want to use the Gannt view and the view grouping features, but I don't really need the apps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can keep ALL of our important data in one place, allow users to add data without seeing the whole database, and cross reference data in other places where it is applicable.
My goto for any data-driven idea
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is fast, flexible, intuitive, and levels up alongside you — it's the perfect entry level database, and sophisticated and extendable database. The open source apps and scripting function make Airtable useful for people of varying tech-comfort level. I use Airtable for backend data, analytics, personal projects, and more! I absolutely love the innovative thinking that's gone behind recent feature updates, improved automations, new views... etc... Airtable just feels like a smooth and lovely product and I would be so excited to see where it is a year from now, and beyond.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were more customizable views, even like a record-referencing CSS and HTML display option would be amazing. I've tried to onboard users from my team and they aren't always impressed with the default views, and prefer a custom solution. I also would love if there were "starter open source apps" similar to how there are starter scripts. I'm the type of user who loves to variate on what's already set up, and a simple app starter I can clone on Github would be awesome. I dislike that pro accounts can't have at least 1x base where they don't need to pay extra for additional users, I create many different bases for my team, and it would be wonderful to have a few editor slots per base so we don't rack up cost as quickly. However, we won't be leaving Airtable!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've been able to use Airtable to build marketing segments, run backend CMS collections for Static websites build on Next, and even track my personal spending and weight loss goals. The sheer flexibility has been astounding. We've been able to combine low frequency API pulls from various open source companies to powerfully enrich contact information and customer success data. By using 3rd party apps like BaseQL, we've been able to speed up development and use cutting edge tools for our SSR web apps, and we do much of our simple form handling through Airtable.
