More Aesthetic, Less Functional Excel

  • July 22, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is aesthetically pleasing and contains most of the functionality one would desire for a business knowlege base.
What do you dislike about the product?
Airtable lacks automation capabilities; repetitive processes can be frustrating. Especially when formatting of documents is a concern, often I find myself changing a field, existing out of the editor to view the visual impact then reopening the editor, and so on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable is the knowledge base of our venture capital organization. Information sharing is much more streamlined with Air.

The smaller the project the better

  • July 20, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it's better than excel in terms of UI, and there are many customizations/features that allow you to make whatever airtable you're in easy to understand and point to.
What do you dislike about the product?
For projects that are super detailed and intricate, the information tends to drown, similar to excel. The UI is better, but it's still a lot to comb through. For example, I used Airtable while designing a vaccination platform. Since the project changed almost every day, and so did the content within the airtable, it became virtually impossible to manage or find the correct info.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm solving copy flow problems. Airtable allows me to organize copy to screens and sections easily, as long as the flows aren't super lengthy.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Keep your projects smaller and definitely utilize organization features!

A more aesthetic Google Forms

  • July 20, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
AirTable makes it very easy to put together a survey/request form that looks polished and professional with minimal effort. There's a decent variety of fields to choose from, and the conditional formatting allows you to create longer-form surveys while keeping things tidy.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice if AirTable allowed you to set upload requirements on things like photos. For example, if it allowed you to designate required dimensions, file type, etc., and reject any file types/images that don't meet requirements. Additionally, it would be nice to have a single contact form that included email, name, phone number, etc., instead of requesting separate information via individual fields.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
AirTable allows me to request assets and responses at scale using a tool that looks professional and is easy to use. One of the biggest drawbacks of Google Forms, in my opinion, is the lack of customization. Eventhough you're able to add a theme and adjust the colors, it's still very obvious that it's a Google Form which detracts from the professionalism of it. Airtable looks more professional so I feel better about using the tool when reaching out to external parties.

It's also really nice being to review responses, including requested uploaded material, directly in the Airtable platform in the same workplace that you built the survey/request form, opposed to having a different link/tab like you would in Google Forms. I can't recall how many times I've missplaced the the survey or responses with Google Forms. It's also much easier to view, parse through, and export responses in Airtable.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend Airtable to users that have experience with Google Forms but want to take it a notch up with something that's more pleasing to the eye.

So much more functional than a typical spreadsheet!

  • July 20, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is extremely intuitive and user-friendly. As an organization, we moved a lot of our google sheets and Excel documents to Airtable. We have found that we can quickly find information at a much faster rate than before.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how small pictures are when you initially add them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving a massive data organization problem through Airtable. We keep a master log with a lot of data inputted into it that is constantly being updated. The benefits of Airtable have allowed us to sort through the data rapidly, allowing us to make connections previously not seen.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You can import sheets/excel docs straight over and then begin organizing it. Save yourself the time of manual entry by doing this!

Easy, user-friendly, seamless for social media managers or influencer managers

  • July 20, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The seamless design to go in between the workspaces you have for each client. You can have multiple client workspaces to work out of and its super simple to go back and forth between them.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, the colors aren't my jam but that doesn't bother me too much. And the fact that there is an "over limit" to the free plan. I'm not too happy about that. I'm not able to see how much a basic free plan gets you, which is a little off putting but if it works, then I'm happy with paying for it!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Social media content calendar building, and its ease to incorporate images seamlessly. You can connect your outside accounts such as google drive or dropbox and easily input imagery or links to where it is needed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you can afford the upgraded version because if you manage multiple clients, this is a great option for you! Airtable has saved me hours of work by just being all in one place.

Endless possibilities for managing data

  • July 19, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best part about Airtable is that you can customized it to your needs ad, with the help of automations, apps and API, you can basically create a whole system for managing pratically anything.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a feature to limit who can visualise each field.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Airtable, we manage our entire non-profit. We run moot court competitions for Law students with more than 300 participants in each event. Through Airtable, we have each participant's and team's information, we receive their scores from the guest juges, coordinate our volunteers, among many other things.

It's also very positive that it allows us to scale and constantly add new features. We connected it with an app we created for teams to check their scores and submit competition-related information. The API works flawlessly.

We've also connected the API with tools like Integromat and Power Automate to deliver more features to the students.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're new, watch the tutorials and read instructions. You'll get ideas on how to best use it.

What do you like best about the product?
When I find myself in a difficult situation, Airtable is the tool that always saves me. After struggling to manage my projects for clients and teammates as well as working on improving how I work with other users of this software who inspire me through their use; it's clear that there are so many features offered by Airtable which make managing content simple.
The benefits you will enjoy when using these templates include Live Links, Attachments within your files to keep your team connected at all times along with grouping sections together making them easy and efficient!
Airtable is the best tool for planning content on a team. I love being able to view other templates from their users, and it has helped me learn new ways of working. The calendars created can be viewed by clients or teammates alike which gives you superpowers when managing projects!
I could never find the right tool for my projects, but then I found Airtable. It gave me superpowers and helped me get things done more efficiently! The templates they have inspired new ways of thinking about how to organize content which has made managing other people's projects much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
I know that there are some people out there who would love to be able to add more than one person for feedback, but I think it's not worth the extra fee. It can get expensive and sometimes you want advice from someone else without having them added on your base. My suggestion is just charging a pro account by the owner alone because then everyone benefits!

What do I dislike? When I have a pro base anyone added requires additional credit./ That is unfair because sometimes I want to get feedback from someone but once they are added to the base it cost an additional fee. My recommendation would be a pr base should be charged by the owner alone and
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable is a phenomenal tool for creating content calendars and managing projects. The templates are well-organized to perfection, so I can always find what I'm looking for with ease. Plus the ability to view other users' tools has been really helpful in learning how others tackle certain problems!

Airtable is a great tool for managing projects and it has been incredibly helpful in getting organized. It provides templates that are easy to edit from other users, which allows you to get creative without having to scramble around looking for where the content should go. I've found its layout intuitive when organizing my project tasks, as well as being able have an overview of what needs doing at all times by scrolling down through each column on the table view screen and seeing everything laid out visually before me!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are not sure where to start use templates and edit them to suit your needs. Do not be afraid to experiment and do not try to reinvent the wheel. The systems that can give you inspiration already exist

Airtable is a free program that makes it really easy to plan out content. You can import templates from other users and edit them as you need, so there's no need for reinventing the wheel or trying to figure things out on your own! I've found Airtable especially helpful when managing projects - just add tasks in order of importance, assign deadlines based on time spent working per day (you'll be surprised how much more efficient this becomes!), and divide up files into different categories with sub-folders. It always amazes me what happens once some structure has been place: everything falls right into its rightful spot!

If you're not sure where to start using tools like Airtable because writing seems too daunting an undertaking

I enjoy being able to use Airtable across the organization. It is a flexible tool that permits you to apply it to several use cases. It has a lot of pre-built templates that make it very quick to get started.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much I dislike. I do wish that it was easier to connect it to external APIs. I do also believe that it can be a bit of an expensive product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've used it to organize our product development process as well as project management. It allows us to understand better what work is upcoming and provide automated notifications whenever tasks are changed.

Best collaboration tool I've been able to find

  • July 13, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
This tool has a fantastic user interface. Super intuitive and easy to use out of the box. I was able to start working without any training, but it was even better after I researched some tips and tricks on YouTube. The templates are fantastic. You just choose one that looks like it is the closest to what you're looking for, then customize it. Super easy to set priorities and assign tasks to team members. I have six different workspaces set up on the free version, and I still haven't maxed out its usefulness. I can only imagine how awesome the paid version is.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hard to say. Sometimes linking fields has been awkward and difficult, but I'll get the hang of it eventually. Honestly, I've been using it for almost two years, and I struggle to come up with dislikes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It enables me to capture every aspect of a project quickly and easily. It enables clients to review progress without even picking up the phone or composing an email. I never lose ideas or tasks because it's all tied together in AirTable.
