Airtable is great for small businesses looking to scale

  • November 15, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy to use and set up Airtable is. It is a pretty robust tool that you can take in many different directions depending on your business needs. It's a great flexible app to have in your business tool box.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how easily complicated Airtable can get; sometimes, it's hard to figure out what you're doing wrong when you get to the more advanced features because there are so many different ways to do one thing. Also, I wish that Airtable made it easier to scale bases a la carte based on each business's needs. The fact that Airtable limits you to 50k rows per base and the only way to upgrade is by moving to Enterprise sucks. We're actually moving to a different system that will give us more room to grow without forcing us to pay 10k per year. The lack of flexibility around pricing, features, support, space, etc., is a massive con with Airtable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable helped us build a financial reporting database to track and report on subscription metrics. It was straightforward to use and set up for not that much money! We were a tiny grassroots startup when we first started using Airtable. It made it easy for us to grow and report on that growth.

What do you like best about the product?
UI and UX are so smooth and color coding, grouping, etc. makes it so easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I think there's so much more power to Airtable but I actually don't know what I m missing
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization, document storage, record linking, spreadsheeting, analysis, pipeline, and more.

Airtable has changed my life - for the better

  • November 15, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It takes the power of a database and wraps in the ease of use of a spreadsheet. Scalability is a key, it's been incredibly useful for projects both large and small.
What do you dislike about the product?
Learning curve can be a bit steep for folks who aren't used to relational databases. Not sure how to help this, but users who have bad "data habits" and used to working in google sheets and excel can still manage to gum up the works for everyone. This can cause a problem for us since we have a lot of freelancers, so there's a bit of onboarding involved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable helps us organized complicated data sets (mostly video and audio assets related to film production) in a way that remote workers can all access simultaneously. Saves a lot of effort and time.

What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to filter the data into useful views that help me understand the business and make decisions. I love the share views function which helps me communicate transparently with my customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
The desktop software is Airtable's main priority, and the mobile app for iPhone needs work. It glitches out from time to time and doesn't show enough rows of data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The key problems that Airtable helps solve are 1. organization and attention to detail (keeping all my business expenses in one place). 2. time savings having everything in one central hub saves us a lot of time probably 5-6 hours per week.

Manage everything in one platform

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is helping to manage projects, and employee Check-in & check-out processes, also useful for daily report updates.

User access security is most helpful because some user just needs read-only permissions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Allow more entry for free plan users.
Calendar view for free users.
The first column does not allow integer value as the primary key
templates more examples or draft to use very well
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing projects, Managing employee PTO, Bug tracking system, and a daily report by a team using the Airtable form feature.

Brilliant application for automating business processes

What do you like best about the product?
Its a spreadsheet on steroids. The views drive business logic and coupled with Zapier it's very powerful
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing plans suck. $9 for the pro plan with limitations that are stifling, then the next step up is enterprise at $2000+ per month. They really need some in between plans that support growing businesses. I would happily pay more than my $9 per month, but they have no pricing plans I can upgrade to. Seems silly really
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me track enquiries and automate processes. Our website is a pretty basic wordpress site, it has no logic or intelligence built into it. Airtable does all that for us when it receives an enquiry form , without having to write any code.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability of Airtable to make data more consumable for users with the help of layouts, filters, and views.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing can be a bit steep when more users are required.
Rolling up of data to a summary sheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making error-free databases that were earlier made in Excel or Google Sheets.

What do you like best about the product?
easy to sort and categorize data. simply interface, and very helpful support staff.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some pro features could be free, but I guess you gotta pay to play.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
organizing data, functions as a agile but simple CRM

Game-Changer

What do you like best about the product?
Airtable has allowed my team to keep a variety of information in one spot and allows us to cross-reference information easily, as needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that there was a way to make changes across multiple bases at once. There very well might be a solution that I haven't seen yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping everything in one spot instead of using 3 different software is amazing.

Solved my data problem

  • November 15, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Airtable gives me a one-stop shop to organize and aggregate findings from my win/loss interviews. I can upload transcripts and recordings into the tool I created and easily share with clients via a unique URL.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I could rename the URL, like 'FY 2022 Win/Loss Results" that would be easier for clients to remember.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable gives me a centralized place to report data and share results with my clients at no additional charge to them. Most win/loss providers charge users a fee to look at their own data.
