A great and ease to use database
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is easy to use, when you need all the power from a Google Sheets + Database. You can use it to financial analysis, project management, planner, journal or database
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe at fist, you will encounter a steep learning curve. And all the options can be distracting. To avid the impact of the blank screen you can search the Template Center
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a basic Google Sheets with a lot of data that needed to be connected. All kinds of data: status of items, cost and benefits, stocking and inventory. Very prone to fail and be unconnected. Airtable solves that and goes beyond.
Airtable changed the way I run my business
What do you like best about the product?
I love that it's highly customizable, so it can be adapted to the specific needs of any project.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, really! I use it for absolutely everything. I have converted DOZENS of colleagues and friends who become obsessed immediately.

Essential tool for usable internal databases, with automation capabilities
What do you like best about the product?
My organization uses Airtable for many internal databases. Some are CRM-type databases, for tracking relationships. Some are to generate a visualization or temporarily hold the responses to a form. We use it for our employee time tracking as well. Airtable allows you to set up what amounts to relational databases through a friendly spreadsheet-type UI. It has great capabilities for filtering, sorting, grouping, and letting people create their own views. It has some excellent built in automation capabilities so you can send emails, Slack messages, populate Google sheets, etc based on Airtable changes. Plus, it has a good API and Zapier support.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost per seat for premium editors can be a barrier for us, and there's no way to allow external people to view/edit a limited set of fields in a base natively. It's data visualization capabilities are weak compared to Google sheets. Bases get slow once you have too many records, which means you have to break best practice guidelines. Also, while synced bases are powerful, the workflow for editing related records is clunky (have to open the other base vs being able to do inline.)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time tracking. CRM for organizations we want to build relationships with. Visualizing geographic data. Tracking expenses for technical tools. Automatically emailing people when they submit a form or when records are updated.
Great database tool accessible anywhere, flexible, customizable
What do you like best about the product?
I'm a fan of spreadsheets and Airtable is like a spreadsheet on fire. It's a flexible, customizable database that has been very helpful for storing and tracking tons of info. I've used it both personally and professionally and love that there is a free version as well as more premium options to scale.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were more options within automations without using scripts and that automations were a bit easier to set up correctly. I'm also bummed about the changes to images and files as we had to find an alternate solution to be able to share images and files from Airtable on our site.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping us track and manage a large amount of content. The custom automations we've created save a lot of time. Personally, it is helping me manage artwork details and track submissions.
Very User Friendly
What do you like best about the product?
I think of Airtable like dynamic excel. It allows for gathering a lot of data and it's easy to organize it all. There's customer service available to help and Airable provides videos and guides to help you best capitalize on the database.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that Airtable's forms allowed for pictures in the dropdown options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a business owner, it's allowing me to organize and track my inventory, keep track of finances, and allows me to share views with clients for them to see their projects.
So much flexibility to track so many different kinds of information!
What do you like best about the product?
I can store all my data in one place; I can have multiple people access the same data; i can retrieve the data fast
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't view the photos in the record easily. I would like to be able to go from record to record just viewing the photos large on my screen rather than going into each record and clicking on the photo
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. when we had a big business move, I created a table to track all the items packed and box # ... that way, after everything was moved...and it was A LOT... it was much easier to find items
2. I track gifts that are given to VIP guests so that when we meet them again, we don't give them the same gifts again

Great tool for teams!
What do you like best about the product?
Used AirTable while transitioning into a new product role. Used many ways but was surprised at how easy it was to learn and use in such a short amount of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I started using Airtable, it was a little tough to understand the interfaces and how to use them. With time, it's gotten a lot better and clearer, but it wasn't at first. Also, it was not clear that you have team bases and a private base, I struggled for some time to have personal spaces that my team didn't see and thought this was not possible for the longest time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking. My team and I mostly use Airtable for tracking various information (customers, products, states, etc...). Being able to add forms that I can share with my team, which automatically adds an entry into my base once submitted is extremely useful as well.
Intuitive, easy and makes sense
What do you like best about the product?
Tables, relations, automations helped us make a full CRM system for managing our business. The dashboards on top were a great addition that give us instant insights on our KPI’s. All with a user experience that is intuitive and just makes sense.
What do you dislike about the product?
Performance sometimes gets degraded due to intensive memory usage through the browser. May be a specific application for airtable can help resolve that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CRM tables and tools. And real time dashboards accessible from anywhere is really great.
Airtable is incredible
What do you like best about the product?
Graphical nature of interface. Relational databases can be hard to manage, but airtable makes it fun!
What do you dislike about the product?
Inability to let other users edit a record. It's not fianacially viable to get an account for each client just to have them edit one data point.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Almost too many to count: managing employee records, from submissions, rsvps, galleries, marketing tracking, orders
Easiest relational database I ever used.
What do you like best about the product?
Uncomplicated, intuitive, easy for non-techies to build and use. Enough tools for most use-cases. Robust enough to handle information creation, collection and use for most organizations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Arrangement of information from calculated fields.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a Homeowner Association and we use it to track multiple inquiries from residents as well as responses, to record the details, status and costs of all repair projects and to keep resident and contractor contact information. We also use it to track long-term (reserve) items and their useful life, as well as the planned costs for such.
