Managing tasks in any way we want to

  • November 24, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We are able to customize pretty much everything, which allows us to do things the way that best fits our workflows. And with the automations, we're able to save a ton of time and integrate our task management with the other tools we use.
What do you dislike about the product?
It took us a long time to really make use of the more advanced features like calculated fields and automations in general, so we didn't get the full value from day 1. But once we did start exploring these things, we've only gotten more and more value out of using it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Airtable for task management for the different teams in our Marketing department. And with the ability to have multiple tables with different settings, we can make sure that each team can use it the way that best fits them. Also, by being able to link records and use automations to connect it across, we're able to link tasks together across teams within the tool.
Lastly, we've found the forms feature extremely helpful when we get tasks from other teams in the company. All they have to do is fill out a few fields and we will automatically get the tasks created and assigned properly in the tool we use, so we don't have to handle multiple task management tools or processes.

Airtable: Adapting data sharing to your needs

  • November 23, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is an excellent tool for anyone due to its flexibility, and numerous features are beneficial. They always seem to be improving according to user feedback and preferences. I appreciate how easy it is to collaborate with others and exchange data across different levels while still using the same database. This makes developing and managing a database much simpler. Automations are also built-in to save time on repetitive tasks, which is especially helpful when maintaining an extensive database. The new user interface feature is also excellent (even though there's room for improvement) because it allows for easier sharing of data visualizations and creates a better overall experience for users.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I don't like about Airtable is that finding the proper pre-made layout can be challenging. Sometimes it's easier and faster to design it myself. Another thing is that copy/paste is only occasionally reliable. There have been times when I've had to try copying and pasting multiple times before it works. I'm assuming this is due to human error on my part, but it would be nice if it were more reliable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable solves the problem of tracking a large amount of data each month. Using a specially designed base, users will be able to track everything they need to and always receive their data on time and at the advertised price.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is beautiful and functional. I love the new Interface software and use it to show clients my work in an easy-to-understand way.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be difficult to start using Airtable — but it's overall very easy, once you get the hang of it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable allows me to create less decks, and instead put information into a more accessible, easier-to-manipulate platform. I can't say enough good things.

Easy to get to grips with and add value to client projects

  • November 22, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I've been able to set up a collaborative back end that syncs with a clients Webflow CMS - adding lots of flexibility. Best part, the client was able to understand, learn, and use within hours not days of training
What do you dislike about the product?
Creating linked columns between sheets was a bit clunky, where unexpected additional columns/details were showing up. This could be a bit easier and clearer to know what's going on
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's expanding capabilities I'm missing in Webflow CMS for clients that want to swap out and curate dynamic content on a regular basis - clients in agency, film production and photography love using Airtable to manage CMS content that syncs with Webflow

Airtable jump-start our venture operations from zero to one in the first 100 days

  • November 22, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We like how Airtable has templates that allow us to jump-start our venture operations. For example, Investor Deal Flow and investor Portfolio Companies are used initially.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would prefer that the views in Airtable be more flexible. For example, in Gird View, I can't have the row height automatically increase based on the amount of data entered.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable allows us to hit the ground in managing our operations without external help. We can customise the templates or bases as our needs grow. 3 things are crucial in managing our venture operations. Apart from email services, the team rely on Airtable to track and manage our deal flow and portfolio.

Airtable is an Excel Sheet Upgrade!

  • November 21, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Airtable does a great job at taking the basic functionality of an Excel worksheet and making it easier to sort, update, and change views so everyone can find what they need quickly. My organization uses it as a means of tracking Grant deadlines and progress; we are able to sort the list by due date, change the status of "in progress" to "submitted" to "awarded" easily, and quickly see what has been stalled in order to keep the ball rolling. The views are definitely the best part, allowing me to see the data from many different angles to figure out what's falling through the cracks.
What do you dislike about the product?
An effective Airtable can take some time to set up, which can slow down already laborious processes that we are trying to fix. But, if you make the time to set it up well, you will be set!

I do wish that it was easier to build integrations with other programs. For example, I would love there to be a function that allows a Google Sheet to update alongside my Airtable, but it didn't seem to be possible.

Simple automations have been helpful; getting an email when things are close to due, for example, has been a really useful tool. However, I have not yet mastered more complex automations, which I feel like could help me but are too difficult to figure out how to build.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable is taking what was once an arduous and manual process of tracking a workflow and making it streamlined for me and my team. Because of its spreadsheet-like interface it does not feel overwhelming or unfamiliar, and has been relatively accessible for my colleagues to pick up and use.
