The monitoring of routers and switches is simple, fast, and through secure protocols.
What do you like best about the product?
Zabbix is a monitoring software for multiple network parameters, server operability, and server status. Zabbix uses a flexible notification scheme that allows users to set up email alerts for almost any event. This feature allows for quick reactions to server issues. Zabbix offers brilliant visualization and information capabilities based on the collected data. This is why Zabbix can be considered an ideal tool for scaling and modeling.
What do you dislike about the product?
We like that Zabbix functions as an extractor and hunter. All statistics, tool settings, and reports in Zabbix are available through the web interface. The web interface establishes the necessary network status for you to be able to assess the working servers from anywhere. It is noted that a well-tuned Zabbix plays an essential role in monitoring the IT infrastructure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fortunately, this platform has not caused a lot of problems for our team. However, there are some things that they are not entirely satisfied with. On one hand, the customization options for the user provide a series of obvious advantages. But on the other hand, if you don't have the opportunity to dedicate time to managing the program, it is no longer an advantage. The program cannot display data related to text types.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Properly configuring disk space helps avoid sudden resizing or data migrations due to the large amount of data and files created by Zabbix.
Highest quality but the setup is repetitive, boring, and often poorly documented, necessary!
What do you like best about the product?
Zabbix offers incredibly flexible monitoring and reporting on a huge number of metrics. While it is not the most intuitive option, the ability to control the environment from many different perspectives outweighs the time spent setting it up.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not at all intuitive to set up, as I have already mentioned, this is enormously offset by the product's flexibility. The configuration of this product should not be taken lightly, as it requires time and demands systems and network experience.
Furthermore, many settings need to be cloned or turned off and on again to make the changes effective, despite pressing the Apply button, all in a completely random and non-repetitive manner.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This product offers enormous flexibility for monitoring services and machines on our network and even regarding inventory management.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Spend a few extra minutes learning/studying Bash or Python scripting languages, they are extremely useful as external scripts and alert scripts to use in Zabbix to achieve functionalities such as alerting via Telegram or WhatsApp.
Excellent Tool For Monitoring All Systems.
What do you like best about the product?
Zabbix tracks our systems and facilities and automatically sends out the alert, so that we can deal with the problem and fix it immediately. I like the Zabbix most because it allows several users to set up emails and simultaneously receive updates in real time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The problem he has and is addressing is his interface, which in this new version was no longer very successful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zabbix is ideally suited to track both our internal systems and our different customers to ensure that the quality of service delivered is always maintained. It's a device I really like because I deal with it every day, but it's always transferring my data specifically, so that I can receive notifications in the event of circuits left unmanaged. It is code that is very useful.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
In order to monitor efficiently all available servers and facilities, I advise everyone to use this great monitoring tool, and it already specifies the issue.
Without a doubt, the best open source tool for alerting and monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
Zabbix, specifically version 4 which guarantees long-term support, is a performant and reliable tool for continuous monitoring of servers, hosts, guests, and other types of devices in both agent and agentless modes. The suite is aimed at maintaining SLAs and being proactive with related alerting in case of threshold breaches or trigger values. Its extensibility is practically infinite, and I will explain why later. However, as of today, I can undoubtedly define it as the best tool for monitoring and alerting technical and support teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that has not been resolved in 4 versions of Zabbix, and I believe negatively impacts the user experience, is the lack of a wizard capable of supporting the user, whether advanced, intermediate, or basic, in the complete creation of an item and its subsequent connection with alerts, triggers, hosts, graphs, and so on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Thanks to Zabbix, it is possible for us, in the case of threshold breaches or hosts with alarming values during non-working and unmonitored hours, to automate continuous checks of various kinds immediately after the event detection and for the following minutes/hours. These checks are created through bash scripting and launched on the impacted machine via agent (if available) or SSH/telnet. Without Zabbix, all this logic of periodic post-alarm checks would have been our responsibility to design and would have taken hours and hours of work and entire teams of developers and system administrators.
Zabbix Review!!
What do you like best about the product?
It is a very lightweight and effective tool for monitoring ports and protocols.
What do you dislike about the product?
It works well, nothing to report at the moment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ease in monitoring hardware and networking
Very useful for monitoring but a real nightmare to configure!
What do you like best about the product?
Zabbix is beautiful, powerful, performant, complete, and allows you to design, plan, and execute any type of monitoring you can think of or conceive.
It can be easily integrated with any scripting and programming language, from bash to Python, and also allows, through pre-set actions, the creation of standard items for basic monitoring of services, ICMP values, and upstream and downstream bandwidth.
The agentless mode works well, but for total control and data retrieval, it is necessary to prefer, where possible, the installation of the official LTS agent on the Windows or Linux VM, to put it briefly, it is the perfect tool to have full and immediate knowledge of what is happening in your network and/or in your cluster of physical or virtual hosts. Highly recommended in this regard!

What do you dislike about the product?
the process of creating hosts, inventory, items, alerts, and graphs is still too cumbersome due to the concatenation of operations to be performed to achieve the final result of proactive monitoring of a host. I believe it is particularly costly to operate manually with such lengthy procedures in the case of deployments with a large number of hosts. There is no possibility to import or export the configuration of the previously mentioned points, and unfortunately, there is no wizard to simplify the work for system administrators.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed to design and set up a proactive alerting system capable of notifying specific teams in case of issues with both virtual and physical on-prem hosts to avoid breaching the SLAs imposed or contracted with the client. I believe that Zabbix has done its job more than excellently, and I spent very little money except for what was necessary to maintain the machine it runs on. Long live open source solutions!
The best stable and long-term solution for proactivity on systems and devices of any kind
What do you like best about the product?
Zabbix 4 in LTS version is practically free and open-source, well documented both officially and unofficially, and has a forum full of how-tos, tips, and use cases. However, the strength of this very important tool/framework is the ability to create alerts and items of various kinds, more or less complex, through integration with the Linux bash scripting language or by running Python, Ruby scripts, or utilities for probing and information gathering like Zenmap. The default actions are, in my opinion, excellent for an initial deployment and basic monitoring of the running status of one or more hosts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing negative, but a wizard mode guided procedure on the dashboard to easily create new items without having to go through individual links and connections would be greatly appreciated by the Zabbix and IT community.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed to monitor more than 350 hosts considered business- and infrastructure-critical, and I would have had to create 350 or more manual scripts and the related scheduling if Zabbix didn't exist. It helped me save more than 70 days of work and about 4 colleagues from my team who were able to focus on other tasks. Spectacular!
Good solution
What do you like best about the product?
Very modern design and good handability for beginners
What do you dislike about the product?
installation can be very complicated if you dont have experience with linux systems
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Network monitoring, client inventory, license inventory
THE BEST WAY TO MONITORING
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is quite intuitive and simple, which allows for easy interaction when reviewing and controlling the generated alerts and, of course, its quick resolution. Zabbix allows deep customization of conditions and alerts giving you the ability to perform nearly any scripted action in a variety of scenarios.
screens or graphs showing customizable and color-coded historical usage is a necessity in any monitoring software and obviously the possibility to have in one place to see a list of all on-going problems and list of servers within your organization is critical
What do you dislike about the product?
In some cases, the documentation about external scripts for implementation is a bit confusing, in the same way some templates do not turn out to be compatible with some of the services or servers to be monitored and cannot be deleted, or at least, they cannot be How to do it yet.
The first time that you use Zabbix, it may not be immediately obvious where everything is or how to find exactly what you want, but I think that it's UI is constantly improving with each new release. Training is also a great resource to resolve these types of problems.
I have personally never found the "Maps" feature of Zabbix incredibly useful as I find it complicated to configure, but I should probably investigate its documentation further.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my current job, it allows us to have an accurate and secure control over what happens in real time with our park of servers, being able to react in time when any eventuality happens, which means that we are in service 24/7 without any kind of shock.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
it's the best way to monitoring easily all your infraestructure, it's pretty easy to configure and the community is pretty big and kind to help you.
Open Source Monitoring Tool
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that the software is open source and free. Not to mention the infinite network monitoring capabilities available.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because the software is open source, many of the features must be deployed in a personalized way by each user, as there are not many "predefined templates".
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Through SNMP and ICMP protocols, it is possible to monitor power failures, closed / open ports, unavailable equipment, latency oscillations, fiber optic signals and so on. The mapping application for monitoring is fantastic, collaborating on the mapping of cities, states and countries.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Implant the software without fear of making mistakes, it will exceed your expectations with its immense amount of resources and customization.
