Sugar Market has been instrumental in helping us streamline our marketing efforts and boost customer engagement. Its intuitive interface makes it easy to manage campaigns, and the detailed analytics provide valuable insights that have directly impacted our decision-making. The automation features have saved us countless hours and allowed us to focus on what matters most: nurturing our customer relationships.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the tool is highly effective, there is a slight learning curve for new users. However, once you get familiar with the platform, it becomes very intuitive and powerful. Some of the integrations could also be smoother, but overall, these are minor issues compared to the value we get.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Thanks to Sugar Market, we’ve seen a significant increase in both our customer NPS and overall satisfaction. The ability to segment and personalize our communications has resonated well with our audience, leading to stronger customer relationships. The insights we gain from the platform have allowed us to make data-driven decisions, which has boosted our marketing ROI and helped us fine-tune our strategies for better results.

We love Sugar Market because of its wide array of services such as email capabilities and the page/form feature. The system is well thought out and after a few training sessions is quite easy to use.

The least helpful aspect of Sugar Market is ensuring it integrates with Netsuite.

    Logistics and Supply Chain

Nice ideas, core features not setup well

  • April 30, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We can send automated emails. We can run nurture campaigns.
What do you dislike about the product?
A huge problem is lack of connectivity to popular lead generation software Zoominfo and Apollo for example.

Many of the features of within Market are not natively connected to the CRM and require many levels of extra work. For example, I cannot create marketing campaign reports that pull data into the CRM with the same functionality as the CRM reporting. So it's very difficult to bridge the gap between marketing effort and opportunity/dollar outcomes in teh CRM without having to erect a KPI framework from scratch that somehow can pull marketing interaction data through to the CRM. Even then, it's speculative.

I also do not like how marketing activities are not a native subpanel on the CRM except for form and landing page interactions. Every email that the lead or contact opens should display within the lead or contact profile. It should not take having to click into the Sugar Market tab to see marketing activity. This is just another layer of separation from being able to pull marketing metrics from with in the CRM. When we had Salesforce, I could setup campaigns within the CRM and then attribute multiple emails, forms, landing pages to those campaigns and then pull interaction data from those campaigns and attribute that to Opportunity value. This is maybe possible in SugarMarket, but it would take development work that's outside my perview and it not naturally part of the integration.

I also do not like the the lack of a general automation rules within SugarMarket. In Salesforce, I could setup an automation that if "lead UTM Source Field = Google, then Lead Source=Google" for example. These automation shortcuts gave us much more flexibility to control how we organize and track leads.

There have also been multiple cases of leads statuses changing in the Market side, then a step in the engagment is to push that profile change to the CRM, then it doesn't happened. A complete mystery that even our wonderful Sugar Market account manager could not figure out why is was happening.

Our UTM forms fields do not ingest URL parameteres unless they are from a SuygarMarket Landing page. They cannot be pulled from the form when embedded in our website.

One of the nuture items is "Create a CRM Task" but there's no ability to specifically create a scheduled call. So I have to create a task to tell a user to call someone so now our inside sales person is doing double admin work.

The list of logical dead ends that need multiple hours of workaround to achieve what we need and what we used to have in Pardot/Salesforce goes on and on. At this point, we've start using Zapier to get around many automation deadends in SugarMarket and simply use SugarMarket to send emails.

Basically, Sugar Market misses the mark on many things that are necessary to require coehesion between our sales side and marketing side activities. I am regretting moving from Salesforce to Sugar every single day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The nurtures allow for automated lead nurturing. That's about it. Otherwise, not much else works well. Market is too restrictive for us to use it as tool to implement our outreach plan, the tool dictates to us what we can.

Overall Sugar Market Experience

  • April 24, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Email creation is easy! Nurtures are easy to build and not overly complicated. Setting up dynamics lists from Sugar Sell is simple and efficient. Support is quick to respond to issues and makes solving issues quick and easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The overall platform could use some upgraded efficiencies ... time-consuming to logon to Sugar CRM every time I want to set up a dynamic list. Jumping through the nurture metrics is cumbersome and requires a lot of clicking around. Reporting is also not very straightforward.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to set up a multitude of automated emails that help feed our sales efforts, all based on activity happening in Sugar Sell.

Marketing Automation platform with huge potential

  • March 27, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Sugar Market is an easy to use marketing automation platform with a huge potential. The email builder and nurture builder are having everything what you would expect and you can use them by drag and drop.
Many of our colleagues are not technical experts but they easily learned to use the system.
The customer support is also outstanding and we have got great support when needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are som functions such as list builder and event management that have been improved over the years but they still lack some functionalities and a similar easy-to-use approach as the email and nurture builder. Especially for us, as a Swedish organisation with different brands, the event mangement part lacks the support for different languages and brands.
There is also room for improvement when it comes to syncronisation features between the different Sugar products. You can see that Sugar Market has been bought from Sugar and that it wasn't created from scratch as part of Sugars product solutions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Sugar as our marketing automation platform. As a government agency we don't work with Sales in the same terms as many other organisations using Sugar Market but it still supports our needs for automating our processes as much as possible. Since we implementet Sugar Market we have seen an increase of 31,8% in lead volume and our newsletters boast a competitive 40%-50 percent open rate on marketing emails. This is certainly due to the great automation and nurture functionalities.
