An outstanding tool for product demos

  • June 17, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I liked most about Storylane is its AI, which can understand the context of a demo and propose a storyline with text bubbles. This saved me a significant amount of time, allowing me to focus on the demo's launch strategy.

The onboarding process was also incredibly straightforward. I simply downloaded the browser extension and was able to begin using the tool instantly.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I liked least is that the HTML editing feature is not available in the more basic plans, which makes the overall cost steeper if you need that functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My main challenge was finding a tool to build B2B product demos without a steep learning curve. I tried a few competitors, but it was with Storylane that everything just clicked. It made the entire process incredibly straightforward and fast. The best part was how quickly I could go from starting the project to having a live demo. Within days, it was up and running, actively generating new leads for us.

Powerful demo insights with surprisingly rich lead intel, even on the free tier

  • June 14, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Storylane has been a smooth, no-fuss way to showcase our core features at Email Vault. Even at the free tier, it gives us real insight into who’s engaging with our demos, including firmographic data and intent signals that are actually useful for our sales and marketing teams.

We’ve especially appreciated:

- Session-level tracking that breaks down who watched what, how far they went, and whether they clicked a CTA.
- Lead syncing with HubSpot (plus UTM and GA integration) that gives us a view into attribution and demo engagement.
- The ability to see demo drop-off points and drill into user behavior by step.
- Exportable reports and company-level data that help us spot trends and prioritize outreach.

The tool was easy to implement, easy to navigate, and we've had no trouble connecting it to our marketing stack (HubSpot, GA, Slack, etc.). We use it regularly to qualify interest and understand which features resonate with which buyer profiles.
What do you dislike about the product?
We wish it were possible to identify individual viewers without requiring a form fill or CTA click — even just via LinkedIn enrichment or reverse IP — but we understand why that’s gated at the higher pricing tiers.

Company identification is helpful, but occasionally inaccurate (e.g., firm name mismatches or off geolocation). That said, this seems to be a broader industry limitation, not unique to Storylane.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storylane helps us bridge the gap between product interest and lead qualification.

Before Storylane, we had no clean way to show off our product without requiring a full live demo. Now, we can let prospects explore key features at their own pace, and we get valuable insights into what they interacted with, how far they got, and whether they took a next step like booking a call or signing up.

This has helped us:

- Speed up the sales cycle by surfacing warm leads based on actual product interest.
-Better prioritize outreach by knowing which companies are viewing which demos and for how long.
-Understand which features resonate with different personas based on engagement data.

It’s also allowed us to stay lightweight, even without a complex sales or data team, we’re able to track demo engagement, match leads to accounts, and sync it all to HubSpot automatically. That kind of visibility used to be out of reach unless someone filled out a form. Now we get it by default.

Easy to use, feature-rich tool for Product Demos

  • June 13, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Storylane makes it very easy to create interactive product demos. The UI is pretty straight forward, and the workflow feels smooth (I use it frequently and it works even if you're a non-technical user!). You can easily customize the product themes based on your product theme. Our team was able to implement this with ease within 2 days. It also comes with Audio & Avatar AI features, which are a bonus.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not very sure if the all the company names populated in Analytics are correct. But nothing that’s a blocker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Storylane for product demos in doc site which helps us bring static documentation to life. Instead of just describing workflows, we allow users to feel the application and it's features in documentation itself. This has significantly improved user understanding, and made our content more engaging. It’s become an essential part of our product documentation toolkit.

What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to use and gives nice visual elements.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish there was a way to filter out IP addresses for internal employees clicking/reviewing after a demo is published.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's nice to visually demonstrate to our customer's our product updates through a show, don't tell approach.

Using Storylane for Help Center guides

  • June 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to use. We use it for our Help Center guides. Users also give good feedback that the interactive "video type instructions" are very easy to use. Additionally, I love the blurring and zooming tool, and it is also very easy to create a Storylane and attach it anywhere we need as an embedded link.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are many manual settings to change every time we make a new Storylane. I have to turn off framing, delete the first and last slides for the title and ending everytime I make a new Storylane.
Plus that I need to use the backlit feature so users are able to click anywhere in order to change the slides in the Storylane, or else its hard to just click on the dot that appears on the picture indication where to click.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our product is complex so we use Storylane for interactive visual instructions for our customers in our Help Center guides

Essential Tool for Customer Education

  • June 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
At our company, Storylane is a crucial tool that we use extensively within our Help Center. It plays a key role in helping us create step-by-step interactive guides for our customers, which greatly enhances their onboarding and self-service experience. The platform’s UI is incredibly intuitive, making it easy for anyone on our team to build and publish flows without any technical complexity. We also appreciate the powerful analytics Storylane provides - it gives us actionable insights into how users engage with our guides. Plus, their support team is always responsive and helpful whenever we need assistance.
What do you dislike about the product?
One suggestion I have is to introduce a dedicated way for users to share product feedback and ideas directly with the Storylane team. This would make it easier for us, as regular users, to contribute suggestions or feature requests that could improve the product even further.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Storylane extensively within our Help Center. It plays a key role in helping us create step-by-step interactive guides for our customers, which greatly enhances their onboarding and self-service experience.

What do you like best about the product?
I have loved using Storylane as it has made providing demos of our product incredibly easy. We don't have to have a live demo for every single customer interaction since they can get so much out of the guided tutorials we have made with Storylane.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can take some getting used to, but I haven't run into many things that I would consider downsides of Storylane. It rocks!

A Quick, Collaborative Way to Showcase Your Product

  • June 11, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's fairly easy it is to get up and running. You don’t need to spend hours on setup or design, everything feels intuitive and was easy to capture our product in a fast manner and embed in our site and programs.

The new AI help text is a nice touch too—it’s not groundbreaking, but it’s definitely helpful when you need quick guidance or suggestions.

If you’re looking for a no-fuss way to build and share product demos or walkthroughs, Storylane gets the job done without overcomplicating it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The design capabilities are fairly limited which makes it hard to get in line with brand guidelines but gets the job done.

The organizing and folder system is also a bit clunky and feels old school.

We also use the hubspot integration which is incredibly limited. I cant connect custom forms (unless you upgrade) or get much intel from the platform to hubspot (there is not any configuration in SL). Could be better but again, does the job.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Embedding a demo walk through tutorial of our product on our website for top-of-funnel PLG motion.

Storylane is great for product demos!

  • June 11, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I work for a telecom company with some unique features, and being able to demonstrate how they work is a big selling point. Lots of companies say their software is great and easy to use, but Storylane makes it easy to show how we're different. We have several different demos on our website and they were simple to build and add.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing! We haven't had any issues with Storylane.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A lot of companies in our industry make similar claims, but our product has some features that are completely unique and easy to use. It really helps to show users how they work and the advantages they provide.
