You buy Storylane as a per-user contract, and you pick one of three plans by seat. Starter is the base offering. Growth Plan adds the ability to build guided demos with an HTML capture replica of your product. Premium Plan lets you build both guided demos and hands-on sandbox demo environments. Pricing scales with the plan you choose and the number of user seats you commit to. Each higher plan builds on the one below it, so you add demo-building capabilities as you move up.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one user seat for billing on each plan?
A seat is one user account you assign to a person who builds or manages demos. Each higher plan requires you to commit to a number of seats. You pay per seat, so your cost rises as you add users to the plan.
What do I get with Growth versus Premium beyond the base Starter offering?
Growth Plan adds guided demos built from an HTML capture replica of your product. Premium Plan adds hands-on sandbox demo environments on top of guided demos. Each plan includes what the plan below it offers, so capabilities stack as you move up.
What drives my total cost across these plans — the plan level or the seat count?
Both drive cost together. Your plan sets the per-seat rate and which demo-building features you get. Your committed seat count multiplies that rate. So a higher plan with more seats costs more than the same plan with fewer seats.

Easy to Learn, Powerful Chrome Extension for Building Demos Fast
Reviewed on Aug 06, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to get to grips with, the chrome extension means no integrations necessary, and you can start building immediately. Pricing wise the lowest tier of the paid options gives us a strong toolkit, and the built in automated overlays speeds up the process.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far nothing. The one thing that can get slightly tedious is automatically opening new tabs when adding new slides to an existing demo, you can end up with a lot of windows open, but it's easily managed, just needs a bit of care.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Product exposure. Our product hasn't been visible enough and this helps us make that first step.

Storylane Makes Polished Interactive Walkthroughs Fast—No Dev Support Needed
Reviewed on Aug 06, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I can capture screens, stitch them into a clickable walkthrough, and have it live on a landing page or in a sales email the same day. The editor is intuitive enough that I didn’t need any onboarding to get started, and the embed options mean I’m not asking prospects to click through to yet another link. For what it costs relative to what I get out of it, the ROI is easy to justify, because a single walkthrough can replace hours of repetitive live demos.
What do you dislike about the product?
The editing experience can get clunky when you’re maintaining walkthroughs over time. If a UI change affects three screens in a twenty-step flow, there isn’t a quick way to swap only those screens in place, so you end up rebuilding more than you should. A batch-replace or screen-swap option would cut down a lot of unnecessary rework. I’d also like deeper analytics—possibly AI-assisted—that go beyond “they clicked here” and instead surface patterns, like where prospects consistently lose interest or drop off.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storylane gives prospects a chance to experience the product on their own terms, even before a live demo is booked. As a result, the conversations that do happen tend to be better qualified, since people already understand what they’re looking at.

Storylane Makes Product Demos Easy and Saves Us Serious Time

What do you like best about the product?
Storylane makes it much simpler for us to connect our products with customers. In the SaaS space, it can be really hard to get time with customers, onboard them to new solutions, and make sure they’re prepared before a feature launch. We especially love how easy it is to go from capturing our own software to sharing it with customers.
Pricing feels aligned with the market, and we consistently see useful features showing up for us to use.
Storylane also tracks “Time saved,” which reflects how much time end users spend using the demos instead of jumping on a call. Over the last 12 months, we’ve saved more than 600 hours.
The software runs in your browser or desktop - and I've never had any issues with speed.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think there's anything significant to dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Storylane to connect software to customers through product launch demos, feature overviews, and onboarding support.
It allows us to showcase our capabilities launching to 50+ customers without initially engaging in a call.
