Great potential!
What do you like best about the product?
Quick way to build demos and sandbox environments. Relatively intuitive to learn.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some glitches with the UI screen captures. The visuals and some features are not as customizable as I would ideally like. Relatively intuitive to learn, but it would've been nice if there was more help guides available for new users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use occasionally for internal trainings, so the sandbox environment and guided tours are far faster to build here than in Articulate Storyline. Can't wait for future releases/improvements, and then this will be a game changer.
Such a great sales tool
What do you like best about the product?
As a Solutions Engineer I build demos with Storylane for prospects and events. The process of creating a demo is super efficient and fun to do, the UI is great and the Chrome extension for recording works very smoothly.
What do you dislike about the product?
When creating a loop demo, I would like to be able to choose a different display time for each slide. Currently all slides are set to the same amount of seconds.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The short demos we have recorded enables our prospects see features, and solution value easily right away when requested. Great way to engage them during the sales process.

What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to capture screens for video demos. As well the feature to search all and replace all saves a lot of time when editing in bulk. The HTML and Ai voice overs are also great. There are a lot of voice options to chose from.
What do you dislike about the product?
The screenshot option is a little tricky to use and doesn't have the HTML editing feature. I tend not to use that feature because it takes more time and isn't to user friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
the overall editing features are getting better and is cutting down on time to edit demos. What would be good is when adding a screen to an existing demo its a simpler smother process. Sometimes it takes 4 or 5 try's to get to be in the correct place and actually load.

What do you like best about the product?
I've used Storylane at two companies now, and anywhere I move would vouch to use it for product marketing and sales enablement. It's so easy to equip my team with up-to-date product demos and have personalized leave-behinds for big deals and proposals. The CS team is always responsive and helpful from implementation to new features coming out. It flows right into hubspot data and I look forward to using more integrations in the future.

Really can't think of anything I've needed that the team hasn't addressed.

Great product at a good price point
What do you like best about the product?
I’ve been using Storylane at my company for a little over two years now, and it’s been awesome. With so many buyers wanting to explore products on their own without talking to sales, Storylane showed up at just the right time for us. I also loved that they offer a freemium plan. it made it super easy to build a quick proof of concept and show my team why we needed this on our site to improve the B2B buyer journey.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing fancy to add, it just works. Storylane does exactly what we need, and the pricing is spot-on compared to other competitors out there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We don’t offer a freemium for our SaaS product, and we’d often run into prospects who wanted to see the product before talking to sales. Storylane turned out to be the perfect solution to help us get past that bottleneck.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Storylane is so intuitive and I can seamlessly create a bunch of sleek demos that potential buyers can use to experience our features and products.

I can't really think of anything! It fulfills exactly what we need.

It was tedious to create online demo videos without the product, Storylane saves time allowing us to improve efficiency.
Easy to use and perfect for our needs
What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to use and you can create demos extremely quickly. There is a good amount of options for customization, and you can create and store brand themes and easily apply them to each step of a demo to save time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish they had more fonts available. They do not have our font and we have to use an off-brand font. I also think the reporting can improve. Under 'All sessions' in the Audience tab, the 'Account' associated with viewers is often wrong.

Perfect for creating demos with AI voiceovers, detailed analytics, and lead capture
What do you like best about the product?
I really like that Storylane is interactive, customers often mention that they like this interactivity because they can jump to the steps or chapters they are interested in and they can follow along with the demos (try in their computers while learning). The AI voiceover feature is a big time-saver when creating content, and the ability to add links to hotspot and tooltip guides is super helpful to drive traffic to other demos and our website.
I also like that I can reuse chapters across demos, which makes building new ones faster. The analytics are also very detailed, showing exactly how long users spend on each chapter. This makes it easier to see what works and what needs improvement.
Finally, the option for users to register adds personalization and helps generate leads, which is very valuable for us as customer success team.

Storylane has good features and we are relying on it for onboarding new users, but there are some limits you should know before trying it. Any background edit you make applies to the entire chapter, not just a single step. This means you can’t add text or change the background for only one screen, which can be inconvenient and sometimes requires extra work in another app.
The voice narration also starts right away when you launch a demo. For me, this feels too fast and a bit jarring.
Another limitation is that the media modal, text modal, and lead form guides cannot be resized or moved. Their fixed size and position reduce flexibility when building a demo.
If these aspects are important to you, you might find Storylane restrictive. Otherwise, it can still be a useful tool depending on your needs.

Users keep asking the same questions, but they don’t watch our YouTube videos or read the manual. This forces us to spend too much time in onboarding sessions answering repeats and handling tickets with simple issues. With Storylane, we will stop running onboarding session, users will be able to self-onboard with StoryLane demos and we can simply send a demo link whenever customers have questions.

At Paywint, Storylane has completely streamlined the way we create and share interactive product demos. We love how easy it is to design guided walkthroughs without needing heavy technical skills. The platform helps us highlight Paywint’s complex fintech workflows in a way that’s simple for prospects to understand. The ability to customize demos, embed them into our website, and track engagement gives our sales and marketing team valuable insights. It’s also great for onboarding, as customers can explore features at their own pace.
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall, our experience has been excellent. The only challenge we’ve faced is that some advanced customizations require extra effort, and load times can occasionally be longer for large demos. We would also love to see more granular analytics and deeper integrations with CRM platforms. But these are minor compared to the overall value Storylane delivers.

Storylane is helping us solve the challenge of explaining complex fintech workflows in a simple, interactive way. Before using it, our sales and marketing teams spent a lot of time on manual walkthroughs and static presentations that often confused prospects. With Storylane, we can quickly create self-guided demos that clearly show how Paywint works, without requiring engineering involvement. This saves our team hours of repetitive effort, shortens the sales cycle, and gives prospects a hands-on experience that builds confidence in our product. It has also improved onboarding, as customers can explore features on their own, reducing support requests and making adoption smoother.

The product is not the easiest to use, especially when I compare it to others available on the market. Video feature is not that good, or it is not easy to use..
