Empowers Content Flexibility, Needs Better Entity Management

  • December 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to create and manage the content types in Contentstack and the flexibility this offers with the use of references and global fields. Content Types are valuable because I'm able to define models I need to reuse and create a data model that others can be constrained to. References are valuable because they allow me to create more complex models that can more easily reuse data across presentation layers. Global Fields are valuable because they make it faster to create the models, and they also force you to think about whether an object should be scoped to a content type or exist as its own content type.
What do you dislike about the product?
I struggled with a few things: 1) The amount of entities grows quickly and it's hard to manage and search for them. A visual tool or naming convention recommendation might help. 2) It's difficult to find practical examples of how presentation and domain data is split in CMS. More examples in the documentation would be beneficial. 3) We have multiple channels (mobile/web, etc.) and lack best practices on sharing content across these channels. We started using abstraction to have a mobile presentation content type reference a global reference type that is shared, but more recommendations from Contentstack would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Contentstack for hosting and serving presentation data, solving content modeling, entity management, and caching issues.

Headless Content Management Platform with Outstanding Support

  • December 04, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Contentstack is a headless CMS that enables companies to create custom-coded templates and components that can be reused, allowing non-technical publishers to leverage them. The platform offers a high level of flexibility and customization. The support and account teams are fabulous, proactively reaching out to schedule QBRs and sharing product updates and feature releases.
What do you dislike about the product?
A developer or technical team is required to update or create new templates. If you are a small team or don't have a developer on staff, you will need to hire someone to create and update new templates and components for your website.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Contentstack allows us to easily update existing content and publish new pages to the website using our pre-built templates and components. Our non-technical publishers aren't required to have coding skills to use the pre-built templates.

  • November 13, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Contentstack helps our team streamline website management across our department. Its headless CMS is flexible which allows us to build fast, while the marketing team manages content independently. You also don't have to be extremely technical to work daily in the platform which is a huge benefit.
What do you dislike about the product?
If we want to build out additional modules, it does require dev work to complete.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Seamless website management for every member of our marketing department. Anyone is able to go in to publish and make updates as needed.

Way easier to make your own and learn to use than other CMS products

  • November 13, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Contentstack offers a LOT of the capabilities I used to have to research, implement, test and continuously update and manage through plug-ins when my site ran on Wordpress. It's nice having everything available just from Contentstack's product line. It's much easier for my small team to manage the backend as admins and set up workflows. We brought in a new hire right after we moved to Constentack and asked him to become our subject matter expert on it. There were tons of courses and resources available directly from Contenstack to quickly get him up to speed and rock and rolling.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few things that seem standard for a CMS that we have had to ask our dev team to work with Contentstack to deploy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dependence on internal dev team is lessening now that we can manage our site through COntentstack (versus Wordpress which required more dev work to do what we needed the site to do and was ALWAYS breaking and needing plug-in updates).

Dynamic Content Made Easy, But Learning Curve for Updates

  • November 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Contentstack for its ability to facilitate the creation of dynamic content, which is crucial for managing and publishing deals efficiently. I also find the padflow design aspect of Contentstack particularly beneficial as it helps organize collections very well, streamlining my workflow and making the content management process more structured and intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
The search feature is a little wonky, which can make finding content more difficult than it should be. Additionally, the frequent updates require me to relearn things or adjust to new interfaces, which can be a bit disruptive to my workflow. The initial setup of Contentstack was also quite tricky, as we had to find ways to mirror the CMS for our specific needs, which took considerable effort.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Contentstack to create dynamic content and effectively organize collections, enhancing our publishing process.
