What do you like best about the product?
Smartling Dashboard is a great tool due to reporting transparency and interface that allows for control of target content.
What do you dislike about the product?
We would like to see an added interface or tab in the Dashboard to document technical queries and track Smartling’s response.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Adaptation of new digital experiences, with cost transparency and ability to monitor and optimize language quality.

Great TMS for our team

What do you like best about the product?
I like the communication with our account CSM and how well they work with our translation vendor.

I love the new update for issues. Did you know that now you can assign the issues to specific persons, and you can filter by many selections?

What do you dislike about the product?
The new interface for the requester format is a bit confusing when they have to submit the job, get the option to authorize (even though our project managers should be the only ones to do this), and then have to click back on the job to select a due date. It was shared with me that the requesting process was more straightforward before this new update!

It would make things easier if we didn't have to create projects based on the source language. Maybe a source language selector when creating a job could work so we avoid having multiple projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Centralizing all our localization processes in one single system
- User-friendly app for our vendors and us
- Constant communication and fast responses
- Filters work great
- Customized columns for each user helps everyone's experience

What do you like best about the product?
- Excellent UI
- Useful filters
- Tight integration with our internal tools
- Ability to provide context to string that are being translated
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much I can comment here. I have had a seamless experience so far when using Smartling.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to translate a file in 34 languages every week and Smartling lets our Product integrate with them makes our source strings available on their platform via an automated flow. Later, once the strings are translated/edited/reviewed, we use another integration which lets us download those strings.

Another problem we were trying to solve was the 'context' for strings that are being translated and Smartling lets us post screenshots of the screen that is being translated (again, using an automated integration). This provides more accurate translations.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Folks at Smartling are prompt at responding to your questions and help you with your projects.

What do you like best about the product?
I’m managing the product localization team, handling over 30 languages in the platform. Smartling is the best tool for managing the massive translation projects and also for translating the contents in a most efficient way. Most recommended!
What do you dislike about the product?
It could be great if I can get some mobile experience to manage the projects or modify translations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I managed to integrate glossary terms for 20 languages to smartling, in this way I could manage the consistency between all the writers.

What do you like best about the product?
The platform structure and UI are intuitive for translation resources, and there are good resources to onboard them. The Smartling team is highly collaborative and responsive and a pleasure to work with.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features, such a DQF review, glossary and resource management, could be more centralized and easier to manipulate, e.g advanced filtering or editing. Alternative rates and payment tracking features, such as edit distance- or time-based, could be helpful to cover more project types.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartling provides a handy platform to handle various linguistic requests in one place and provides a number of time saving automations via API or settings such as claiming that reduce our in-house workload.

Not super intuitive when you start using it. Training is always needed

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciated that the smartling team worked with us to tackle some of the initial challenges of getting our repos connected. It was a complex task but the smartling team were always super responsive, helpful, and open to feedback along the entire process.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface for the smartling product itself can be confusing at times. However, our CSM is always immediately responsive to my questions or requests for changes in our account.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Smartling to translate our mobile application across many different languages. Once we set ourselves up to translate 1 language, it's been extremely easy to expand that to more languages.

What do you like best about the product?
Its a very flexible and easy to use tool, that makes our work a lot faster with better quality.

Sometimes the incontext view doesn't work

We can track the progress of the translations, as well as assign flexibly to reviewers per segment if necessary.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartling has given our business the ability to analyse key metrics which we had no access to before. This platform has made it possible to understand how to better optimize cost savings from our Translation Memory, saving our business both time and money.
What do you dislike about the product?
Whilst the system is extremely effective for the business, it would be good if it could ingest a variety of different formats to trigger translation.

We are better optimizing cost savings from our Translation Memory
