The Most Disappointing SaaS Experience

What do you like best about the product?
We used the GDN and their version of the WordPress WPML engine. The GDN served the pages in real time to our customers. The WordPress PlugIn gives you more control to let you decide what content you want localized or not.
What do you dislike about the product?
The company really doesn't know the meaning of customer success. We had to chase our CSM every time there was an issue. There was almost no support. It felt like we were in a bad marriage. We tried other competitors, and nothing worked with our instance of WordPress.

Also, when you use the GDN, your content sits on the Smartling server, and they basically "own it."
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes it much easier to track the content that needs to be localized on the website. It makes the entire process automated, allowing translators to localize in context. That means they can see if the text doesn't fit within the frame of a button. They also integrate with ZenDesk, which made it easier to localize the knowledge base.

What do you like best about the product?
ability to see the what you working on in details but also as a whole text.
What do you dislike about the product?
sometimes when I corrected the problem, it still appears as unsolved. it requires time to change which bothers me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am not sure how to answer that. I am working in QA team.

Great Translation Tool

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, online so no software installation, works on any computer, and great graphics!
What do you dislike about the product?
Characters like ! ? ( ) don't work in target text strings, I have to copy and paste them from the source text.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Smartling as required by one of my clients. It's a great tool as I can translate high volumes of words in short amounts of time.

Functional & Easy to Use Translation Platform

What do you like best about the product?
The most attractive feature of Smartling to me is its super user-friendly interface. What makes this platform -for me- even more handy and useful is how I can translate videos so quickly, so easy, string by string, while having the most control upon subtitle synchronization with the dialogues. Simultaneously I have access to suggested translations which benefits me time to time in managing and improving my translation quality and also reducing the time that I should have spend on my translation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Actually, I've never faced any serious problem working with this platform but I, if I want to mention something that I prefer it another way, would be the crowded and classic desktop scheme _I opt a modern and minimal graphics and desktop, it help me to concentrate more- which I assume due to all the options and accessibility that Smartling offers, is sort of Inevitable in this case.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm working as a volunteer translator at Coursera translation community. Translating and subtitling education videos is a time-consuming process which also calls for high accuracy; Smartling has been a great help in addressing both those concerns with offering various useful options and applications to its users.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend Smartling to the organizations and companies which work in the area of making subtitle and translation for videos -specifically educational videos-, it's easy, really applicable and fast.

What do you like best about the product?
I work everytime and everywhere...it is also a great convenience to have practical keyboard options.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it had a more comprehensive QA checker...

Thanks to smartling I have learned a program more practically, I can easily make translations.

Smartling delivers - full stop.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartling have been terrific to work with; the platform works really well. Very streamlined in terms of process management. Powerful visualization of end product. Great customer service. Comprehensive APIs which really make a difference. In-context translation is much better than the previous tool we utilized and the project management functionality is the best I’ve seen on the market. Our translation processes were previously a major headache and this has all massively changed thanks to Smartling!

Nothing that I can think of. just try it for yourself

We’re currently in 5 new language markets, all powered by Smartling. >60% of our revenue comes from non-English speaking markets.


    Translation and Localization

easy and fast to use

What do you like best about the product?
Translation memory reminder shows clearly.
What do you dislike about the product?
No weakness and error found at the moment
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As translator, I do not need to download heavy files then opening in any format, which are sometimes complicated. I am saving time and space in my computer.

Great versatile tool for translation efforts

What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can organize all of your projects and jobs easily. They are constantly making changes to make the tool better.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that it's not so easy to put users into different projects because of how they are set up. We have volunteer translators as well as paid translators.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a user base that covers all over, and localizing into the local languages have definitely improved user numbers.

Smartling helps AdRoll reach international markets with ease!

What do you like best about the product?
Smartling has helped AdRoll reach new markets quickly with quality translations for several years now. Smartling has allowed for hands-free translation management between our various content platforms. We currently utilize several integrations including; Drupal, Zendesk, Github, SendWithUs to name a few. We utilize customizable workflows to ensure that our content is appropriately reviewed and vetted before publishing. Smartling’s quality confidence score provides insights around translation quality and allows us to take a data driven approach to quality management.

Using Smartling's Platinum Support services has helped alleviate the burden of localization project management on the AdRoll marketing team, giving time back to focus on marketing related tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a lot to report so far! It's intuitive, practical and comes with great support
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Recently, we were able to quickly launch our new AdRoll group website into 7 languages within just two weeks! Smartling Platinum Support team acts as our localization manager coordinating translation deliveries, and communicating with vendors. Prior to using Smartling Platinum Support, our marketing team were spending approx. 25% of their work-week managing localization projects; now this is down to approx. 5%.

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the simplicity, easy and intuitive navigation, TM and concordance search, etc. Always a pleasure working in Smartling.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was an easier way to add glossary terms and more accessible shortcuts for German quotation marks. I would also appreciate the opportunity to export TMs.

One-stop solution, no need to invoice projects individually or apply discount grid manually.
