A great tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like Nexthink's focus on the user experience and the tools it provides to uncover things happening in the enviornment that may detract from that experience without relaying on the user to inform IT. Users are not IT monitors and Nexthink gets this. Finally the customer service is excellent. Nexthink works hard to ensure that customers get what they need out of the platform and are always on top of issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish Nexthink had better integration with MDMs like Intune. It would be great to utilize things already configured in Intune like platform scripts, app installs/uninstalls, and policies via nexthink.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Nexthink is helping us get to the problems we don't see in tickets and the ones we don't want to get that far. We also use Nexthink to track major projects such as Win11 upgrades, AVD, and device setups. Finally, Nexthink is helping us better tell the story of the enviornment to leaders. The dashboards and investigations have been crucial in proving our work and finding areas to improve.
Nexthink: excellent DEUM tool!
What do you like best about the product?
All the primary features of Nexthink, around the DEUM. The tool fully meets this need.
Simple to implement.
Very good customer follow-up/support relationship once in RUN.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much. Except perhaps the fact that each product requires a separate license: certainly, this allows for cost optimization but it can also be frustrating to see options ultimately unavailable with the acquired licenses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Nexthink does not directly solve problems but helps us daily to identify and better anticipate them.
Nexthink has changed everything!
What do you like best about the product?
The best think about Nexthink is its ability to find problems and do something about it. It is versatile and adaptable. The accelerate team is second to none and extraordinarily helpful. Ashlee and Asmita are world class!!
What do you dislike about the product?
The campaign system is pretty antiquated. It could stand to be re-developed and updated. You are unable to customize very much about it and for many it is the face of the Nexthink CoE team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Nexthink is finding devices that are experiencing problems and helping us plan resolutions. It also helps us monitor our Device Experience score and lets us know how our devices are performing for our end users.
Nexthink is a fantastic product for those interested in user experience
What do you like best about the product?
They provide visiblity into the environment that has traditionally been hidden and fill the gap between what the user is seeing and the infrastructure. The data is easy to interperate and the support is solid.
What do you dislike about the product?
I fear they have moved away from their core product and have become more horizontal than they need to, trying to be everything to everyone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Nexthink addresses the challenge of understanding and managing the end-user experience across our organization. It provides visibility into our devices, applications, and networks from the uer's perspective enabling us to become proactive in so that met may detect, diagnose, and remediation issues before they become pervasive and impact productivity.
Invaluable insights and trend analysis
What do you like best about the product?
Nexthink provides a comprehensive platform which enables you to monitor, analyse, optimisn.e and resolve operational issues. The platform allows you to collect real-time insights from without your organisation, make data-enabled decision making and provide a more seamless approach to your end-users. It allows you to streamline processes, enahance productivity and improve users satisfactio
What do you dislike about the product?
Learning the system can take time and some of the knowledge available is not granular enough. The NQL Data Model can be difficult to understand and implement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The real-time data analysis is enabling my organisation to make decision-lead operational choices. This has has been critical to a few projects and saved copious amouts of time. We are also using it for application lifecycle, understanding our estate and how device management is not what we thought it was.
Nexthink provides so much data we didn't have
What do you like best about the product?
A lot of details data and insights. Remote Action to fix issue or proactively avoid issue
What do you dislike about the product?
Interaction with end users can be improved such as allowing user to retrieve missed campaign or put in some robustness to detect that user is ready to receive campaign before show it (instead of failed due to user not there). Need more options to schedule remote action (such as allow schedule base on device's local time so that we can deal with world wide users)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lots of out-of-the-box scripts we can use. Nice dashboard and lots ot data
Real-time data and insights with a smooth UI
What is our primary use case?
The primary use case of Nexthink is for IT service management and ticket time reduction. We use it to get real-time data, as Nexthink provides data in real-time with a maximum delay of five minutes.
What is most valuable?
Nexthink is valuable for showing real-time data. We also appreciate the smooth UI and dashboard. The platform is beneficial as it provides data in real time, whereas alternatives may provide up to twenty-four-hour-old data.
What needs improvement?
Deployment and user interface need improvement. The UI is hierarchical, which makes navigation complex and isn't user-friendly for those unfamiliar with it.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Nexthink for a total of five years - four years on-premises and the last year in the cloud.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The solution is stable. I rate it ten out of ten.
How are customer service and support?
Technical support sometimes has delays, similar to SysTrack, and I rate it nine out of ten.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Before using Nexthink, I started my journey with it and then moved to SysTrack. I've also used MDM and TechUnit but primarily Nexthink and SysTrack.
What about the implementation team?
We have two dedicated resources for the implementation and administration of Nexthink.
What was our ROI?
Both Nexthink and SysTrack offer comparable functionality, including automation and dashboards.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Nexthink is about 10% more expensive than SysTrack, however, it is effective, justifying the additional cost.
What other advice do I have?
Overall, I would recommend Nexthink as a first priority and rate it ten out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
Private Cloud
Our Journey
What do you like best about the product?
We have been on our journey goingon 1 year since this implimenation we have managed > 95K endpoints (Windows, Mac, VDI), targeting them with over 47 remote actions, 70 Applications with performance measurements, 22 software packages tracked via software metering, and 5 published campaign. we have already seen measurable reduction of helpdesk tickets.
What do you dislike about the product?
One update I would like to see in the future is more scheduling options in the remote actions that include a maintnace window.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of our latest issues we have tackled was Teams versioning clean up in our environment, With nexthink we were able to have a more targeted approach vs. targeting the whole envoronment.
Nexthink Data - Power and Opportunity
What do you like best about the product?
Nexthink provides valueable insight into a large data set of PC related telemetry, use and web based application which when properly mined and used, offer the opportunity to create quick effective solutions to solve PC related issues, insights into user activities, resource scoping and consumption and compliance. It is integratable into numerous systems and offer lots of possibilities to creatively problem solve and provide enterprise insight. From data gather, to automation, alerting, orchestration, and communication, Nexthink is second to none.
What do you dislike about the product?
The length of data retention is still a slight limitation of the product. Currently it provides 30 days and it would be of extreme benefit to expand this to at least 60 days. This allows more scoping and investigational work to be done to figure out when issues started and how they were potentially solved through updates, patchings or automations available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently we have a vast array of self heal, on-demand, and API called automations that provide quick easy solutions to issues detected by nexthink, used by technicians to cut down time to resolve, and called through utterances through our chatbot. Additionally, we used Nexthink to monitor our environment for issues, help scope enterprise issues and guard the resources of our machines through constant agent monitor built into our change process and continouing state operations.
Nexthink enabled smarter ways of working and resolving issues at scale
What do you like best about the product?
The community interaction and user idea implementation.
The holistic and modular product mechanisms allowing me to get what i want out of it
What do you dislike about the product?
some key products of Nexthink are locked behind a paywall
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Nexthink is helping us solve various problems at scale rather than locally on a device. It allows us to take an issue, identify indicators for that issue in nexthink, and then be able to identify any other devices that have that issue, where we can then apply quick (sometimes automated) fixes
Nexthink has come in particulalry helpful for asset management and overviews of our estate
