A submission form with lots of options
What do you like best about the product?
Submittable allows for one to create submission forms with an easy builder. It also helps tracks the submissions internally so we know who has submitted and who hasn't. It also allows for mutliple users and assignments so that each form can go to a specific user and not everyone needs to be notified. The forced account system also allows for a submitter to track their submission an see it sit in a draft stage and not submitted state.
What do you dislike about the product?
All my submission forms are searchable through google. Some of them are private forms that only those who have the link to submit on but there are many others trying to use the form. A lot of users that we ask for submissions also complain on the fact you need to create an account in order to make a submission. While it's extremely helpful, there should be an option that allows for submissions without creating an account for these. It also intimidates our non tech savvy users.
Some time last year, submittable also stopped allowing us to see all the submissions of.a particular submission form at once. You will need to user filters if you want the same effect.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Submittable helps us collect information that we need. With it, we can collect information and data we request of from our selective users. The designed form also allows us to put as much information we need to prevent the FAQ that often happens.
Highly Recommend Bright Funds
What do you like best about the product?
VMware is extremely supportive of my volunteer efforts. If I volunteer 40 hours during the work year, I get $600.00 to donate to the charity of my choice. I log my hours and make my donation through the Bright Funds app. Their app is easy to use and if I have any questions, the BF team is quick to respond (thanks Michelle!). I highly recommend this app to encourage your team to volunteer with a frictionless experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have nothing to complain about. All good on this end.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
BF tracks my volunteer hours and allows me to donate money to the charity of my choice.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's very easy to use and navigate. And you'll never go wrong. It would accelerate your goal and with their help, you can easily define what kind of company you want to be.

Easy form building, application collection and reports generation, convenient display of sent additional forms in the applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
1. Deleting one by one created additional forms - it would be easier to select some and delete them altogether.
2. "The delete function will remove the label from all applications and delete the label." - when there are many labels, it would be more convenient if deleting labels in Configurations would not delete labels in archived applications (for the audit trail).
3. Inconvenient tool for evaluation of applications. Our application evaluation sheets are more complex than the Review Form Tools proposed for evaluation. We could solve this problem via the Excel table inserted in the Review Form, however, it is inconvenient that the Excel table cannot be formatted according to our needs.

Submittable eased collection and registration of project applications, as well as preparation of received application reports.
Submittable makes applying easier for our grantees and for the foundation.
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the ability to assign proposals to our reviewers and for them to see all of the submitted materials for each applicant. I can track who has started to work on their proposal review and they can also see our clarifying correspondence with the applicant in real time. The application building process helps us design an application that makes sense to our grantees and eases their burden in applying.
What do you dislike about the product?
As with any software updates, it has taken a while to get use to the new Submittable platform changes but in the end, it is worth it. We can now link forms (for example, a final report form) to an application so everything is one place. I think customer support was overwhelmed with the changeover and it took a while for them to reply for help requests. I wish you can have a more direct help line without paying a premium.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have really expanded what we use Subnmittable for -- applications for training as well as grants, site visit reports, final reports. The more we use it, the more cost-effective it becomes although the price has jumped up in the past few years. Especially while we are all working remotely, being able to collaborate and review applications online has made the administrative load easier and is also easier for our board/reviewers to get everything they need in one place.
Submittable Gets the Job Done
What do you like best about the product?
Submittable is a perfect platform for enabling a team (working remotely or otherwise) to review applications while sharing reflections and feedback with each other, and ultimately the applicant.
What do you dislike about the product?
Submittable is not everything under the sun, it does its job well but it is not a complete grants management platform like GIFTS or others. It doesn't try to be everything, and maybe that is ultimately a good thing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We receive numerous applications for philanthropic grants. We use Submittable to receive, store and interface with these applications. It allows our review committee to communicate amongst themselves about the applications.

The office team seems very kind and I enjoy their webinars.

We often experience glitches and have had trouble connecting to our tech support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The application is easy to build, when there are no glitches, the product is easy to use. Some features we used frequently were taken away during the redesign and this has been frustrating.

I like how easy it is to create a form and create reports. The system is easy to navigate and has made our work much easier.

Would like more newer/different functions.

Creating reports and having a streamlined process for traditional award submissions (i.e., paper and email).

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to see other peoples feedback. I like that I can compare scores. I appreciate the way scoring works as well to create some uniformity across scores.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not very intuitive to navigate. Could have a better user experience. I needed a training to understand how to use submittable, it would benefit people to be able to understand the program by exploring on their own.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Trying to review grants and have them easily assigned to different review committee members. Beneficial to have the proposals easily downloadable or viewed in the program.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would just advise a brief orientation with all folks who are using the software
showing 61 - 70
