Smart and Nimble Grants Management System
What do you like best about the product?
It is fast and easy to create custom application forms and processes that are easy for both applicants and reviewers.
What do you dislike about the product?
They are making strides when it comes to the back end administrative options/power user features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is fast, flexible, and easily trainable. Our turnaround time for setting up programs is vastly reduced.
I like the product but it doesn't respond well to some of our needs.

Easy to view applications and assign to reviewers

When a client has to re-apply, they are not able to use information from a previous application.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They added docusign.
Workflow for managing prof dev requests
What do you like best about the product?
We use it as a workflow for managing prof dev requests. It is helpful to be able to make edits to the application or configuration rather than having to go through local IT.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are not able to sort at a more granular level RE: status completion of some of our additional forms. The report export function is also not very intuitive. It offers many options but after much tinkering, they don't produce the desired results. We will likely need to purchase dedicated programming time from Submittable support to get customized report exports that work for is.
Also, we have several separate licenses in offices across our larger organization, and it would be great if, taken together, we were able to receive an additional org-level discount based on the total accounts/business we have with Submittable.

It has provided us a more modern application format with strong workflow, but certain features (like reporting) are still not ideal.

Amazing Platform to Help Contribute Worldwide
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Brightfunds makes it easier for anyone to contribute towards the causes/events happening all over the world through one single platform. In the past two years, I have tried my best to contribute as much as I can :) All thanks to BrightFunds and DigitalOcean
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it hard to figure out the listing of a new organisation on Brightfunds. There was an organisation registered in India that is helping a lot of people in different areas, whom I suggested listing their profile on Brightfunds but somehow, the registration process was not easy to explore on our own. One of the employees from BrightFunds did guide me, which was helpful but still trying to figure out on next steps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping me reach out to the organisation I plan to support through one Single Platform. It also gives me insights into other major events happening in the world which might benefit from other people's support.

The reporting system could use help and for the company to recognize organizations use it for call for abstracts for events as well.

I like the fact that there are many colleagues that are already familiar with the software.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the review processes are clunky and convoluted. Wish the submission screens were more user friendly for review purposes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Submittable is keeping us from having to review applicants in printed form and allowing a larger applicant pool to submit applications.
Comprehensive and user-friendly
What do you like best about the product?
Our organization has been very satisfied with the Submittable grants platform since beginning to utilize it a year ago. The platform is very comprehensive and customizable as well as very user-friendly. The training provided was also very thorough and equipped our team to move forward using the platform with confidence. For our organization, it was also very important to be able to offer the application in multiple languages and Submittable was one of the few platforms that offered this functionality without relying on Google Translate.
What do you dislike about the product?
We've been very satisfied with all aspects of the platform. Of course, with a high functioning platform, there is also a significant investment involved so that would be the only challenge our organization has encountered as we are still relatively small and must be very mindful about expenses.

Submittable provides a robust and easy-to-use way for our organization to receive grant funding requests from innovative nonprofit organizations around the world. It also is a very user-friendly platform for grant reviewers and allows us to streamline the internal review process.
