Great tool and customer support
What do you like best about the product?
Zengine has been a great tool to manage grants from start to finish. It is greatly customizable and the Implementation team is extremely helpful in making the program work for their clients. The portal is easy to use and intuitive. I have received positive feedback both from my staff and applicants.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I miss is the ability to create tables for the forms. This would be most helpful, especially for budgets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our grants management system has been done previously via email and Word docs, which makes gathering data very difficult. With Zengine, I have been able to easily pull data, create reports, and query information. The Reporting Dashboard lets you create graphs and pie charts which has been great.
I wanted to love this, but it needs work
What do you like best about the product?
Fairly easy to stand up a program. Great team.

Important parts of the grant management process are not automated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Grant management portal. Product provided a central location for the work but did not automate the process, which is what we needed.

Determine the process you want and need before jumping in.

What do you like best about the product?
What I most appreciate about Submittable is the quick replies I get from my contact there, Pat Owen. I dislike reading instructions and Pat indulges me with personalized explanations of how to do various things on the site.

What do you dislike about the product?
It's a bit early for me to have discerned any real problems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
What Submittable helps me do is organize applications for fellowships at my foundation. I had been doing this in laborious way until I subscribed to Submittable, which reduced my workload enormously.
I highly recommend Submittable, and my entire team has found this platform to be user friendly!
What do you like best about the product?
The Submittable support team is always incredibly responsive. I use the Live Chat option any time I need help troubleshooting, and I have always been able to quickly resolve issues or questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've had reviewers have trouble logging onto Submittable from Google Chrome. This is actually a pretty large issue, and I hope Submittable will work to make the platform accessible on Google Chrome in the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Submittable allows us to quickly and efficiently design applications for large quantities of applicants. The Live chat feature also allows us to very quickly resolve any issues or questions that we have. By using a user-friendly platform like Submittable, I actually feel more confident in creating impactful programs for our audiences because I know that people will be able to apply efficentely, and we the review process will be streamlined.

The customer service was excellent throughout every step of the process. The ease of use of the application form builder.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that I didn't like was there could have been a few more options in terms of dropdown menu and multiple choice boxes

It was our first year to use Submittable as beforehand our application process was all manual. The benefits we have realized are that we have saved so much time using Submittable, weeks of work have been cut back.

Submittable is easy to use and I would recommend as customer service is fantastic.

SPend some time thinking through how you intend to use it for the long haul. The upfront planning investment pays off.
Great design, decent functionality
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is clean and intuitive to use, both as the creator and for users. The drag-and-drop features make building forms incredibly easy and the finished product leaves lots of white space and a great look for applicants. Another excellent feature is the easy-to-use search features when you're trying to find a specific application or applicants with particular qualities.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool can be a little bit clunky at times--it's not always easy to remember where specific features are located. Over time, I've been able to figure out where to find most of the features.

Submittable has made it easy to collect, organize, and process grant applications for our mid-sized foundation.
Best Thing We Have Done
What do you like best about the product?
We implemented WizeHive Zengine in September 2020 for our Fall Grant Cycle. Not only did Zengine improve our professional look, it was easy for our grant applicants to use. The Foundation Board of Director's was reviewing all applications via a shared drive or on paper. Zengine streamlined this process and gave us immediate results as each Board member completed their reviews. Our Board President said "That is the best money we have ever spent. I wish we had done this sooner?"
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much to dislike. Customer support and training have been excellent. Zengine has provided a quality team that is able to work with a variety of users and with various levels of computer experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We nw look much more professional. The required elements of the application help applicants complete all information. The input methods, text, dropdown menus and radio buttons streamline the process.

We found Zengine to be a comprehensive answer to our grant management system needs.
Powerful Database with Unlimited Functionality and Incredible Support
What do you like best about the product?
WizeHive Zengine is intuitive and user-friendly. It is a powerful database with tremendous functionality. The better we learn the system, the more uses we find for it. It has transformed multiple workstreams for us, automating annual functions that used to be time-intensive and tedious. For example, our applicants complete their applications and upload resumes and transcripts; they also submit a recommender's name and contact information and have the ability to send automated reminders, update their recommender's email address, or even submit a new recommender. Empowering applicants to manage this process saves our team hours of work.
We use WizeHive instead of a CRM, mail merge service, applicant tracking system, time tracking system, onboarding app, business intelligence data app, and survey administrator. It saves us thousands of dollars annually. The Zapier integration extends WizeHive's functionality indefinitely.

What do you dislike about the product?
The system is so intentionally designed with so much potential functionality that mastery can involve a learning curve. However, the WizeHive Implementation Team works closely with each client to determine the level of support needed and the level of involvement desired. The Implementation Lead does not sign off on the project until the client is 100% confident in the training, testing, and ongoing management of the system. The Support Team is incredibly responsive and demonstrates consistent mastery of the system and our particular use case. The Help Center has videos, webinars, and articles to support ongoing learning. Every month, we receive an email with all of the new system innovations. In the 15 months we have been using WizeHive, they have transformed the internal dashboards that were already very robust.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
WizeHive helps us complete our application, selection, onboarding, survey, tracking, and alumni management in one unified platform. We used to save associated files in Dropbox and Google Drive; now, we have all of the records for each applicant in one secure location. We have saved many hours of time and countless Excel spreadsheets and Google Docs. Now, instead of having 10 Chrome tabs open each day with different surveys, documents, mail applications, and templates, we have WizeHive open.

What do you like best about the product?
It's a very flexible system and I had great support setting it up.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not infinitely customizable, but at this price point I wouldn't have expected that anyway.

It helps us with processing proposals for funding for supporting scientific research events.
