The support is specially attentive
What do you like best about the product?
I wanted something to connect with shopify and easy to use, that's why I like it.
What do you dislike about the product?
It should have a chat for support, but slack also works well
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Event tracking on shopify
Does everything Segment does + great transformation & reverse ETL features
What do you like best about the product?
Rudderstack powers our entire customer data event flow. We have connected it to more than 6 sources and over 10 destinations. Our engineers never have an issue implementing anything, our product managers & analysts have the power to wire up new tools and transform data using JS as needed (without an engineer) and it just all magically works.
What do you dislike about the product?
- New version rollouts could be done better, we had a bug that was caused by one but nothing in the UI told us there was an issue (as it was working fine before the new release) and it took a few days for the support team to realise what was going on
- Very minimal timing but twice we've had outages which caused event lost, this is about 15 mins each time over the last year

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fast integration for new tools
Saving engineers from working on "solved problems" and making them more productive on meaningful work
We have instant access to all of our customer data in all tools, this means a simple firing of an event from a new backend data process means we can action it in something like an email marketing platform

Rudderstack has been solving our demand to collect user events in a simple way.
What do you like best about the product?
Simplicity in creating pipelines to collect and forward user events data into other platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of different programming languages to handle transformations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collecting user events data and forwarding it to our DWH.
Rudderstack is a Useful Tool for Developers and Marketers Alike
What do you like best about the product?
I like having the ability to really get under the hood and do some custom integrations. Rudderstack's transformations feature is great for modifying payloads in-flight and enriching event details on their way to their destination. We were able to use a transformation to add authorization headers to a webhook request in order to facilitate a custom integration. This isn't something that would have been nearly as easy with some of the other CDPs in the market.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some elements of the UI that are a tad confusing (options pushed below the fold so you don't know they're there, etc.) but not a huge issue. Something that will likely be updated as the platform matures over time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a tool with CDP capabilities that was also able to ETL data from A to B, specifically involving Netsuite. Rudderstack made it so that we could get data out of Netsuite and into a data warehouse, and from the warehouse to multiple other destinations.
Great for Telemetry and Getting Data out of SaaS Tools into your Warehouse
What do you like best about the product?
Rudderstack has enabled the go-to-market side of our business to pull data into our data warehouse from Stripe, Mailchimp, Salesforce, and our other SaaS products without taking up engineering resources. These "cloud extract" sources are worth the price of admission alone. As an analyst, I can hardly imagine going back to a world where I had to write, schedule and maintain my own versions of these ELTs. Adopting Rudderstack went a long way in increasing the velocity of our data & analytics team. We also use the SDK, but I have limited experience using it to implement track and identify calls (although our growth engineers seem to love it). I am also impressed by their support in Slack. They do an excellent job keeping us updated with the status of our requests and almost always have solutions within a week.
What do you dislike about the product?
Rudderstack would be an even better platform if they had thought leadership and/or guidance around spreading the tool–and having a mutually agreed upon language of implementation–across the entire company. In other words, we have great adoption on one or two teams, but we don't have a playbook for evangelizing it even further. As someone who has used competing products, I can say that no one has figured this out yet, so I don't hold it against them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rudderstack lets us surface all our marketing data in our data warehouse without data engineering resources. As an analyst, this empowers me to field requests from marketing and finance faster and self-sufficiently, which I love. It's also used by engineering to instrument key telemetry, but as I stated, above, I have limited exposure to this.
Reliable CDP with great customer service
What do you like best about the product?
It has an easy-to-understand operating model of sources and destinations and several out-of-the-box integrations with common tools. Debugging with their Live View is straightforward and very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some documentation for less-used services is a bit difficult to follow and some of the SDKs available feel slightly clunky. Being able to configure things through code/a git repo would be amazing for things like keeping event transformations in a more viewable space.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Shuttling data into our data warehouse and also also using RudderStack to reverse ETL data to other destinations is a breeze.
Great product with great support
What do you like best about the product?
The Rudderstack dashboard is very intuitive and the implementation is very quick. We are currently going through a Marketo implementation where we are getting our product data from Rudderstack, and the team has been very supportive and available to troubleshoot/answer all questions and issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think their documentation can be improved a bit when it comes to integrations and more insight into the status of the integration (ie Is it continually updated/QA'd)?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Rudderstack to track our user journeys - both on our website and inside our app. As a Marketing Operations leader, I use this information to inform our marketing nurtures/onboarding as well as our lead qualification workflows for the sales team.
Great CDP for healthcare companies
What do you like best about the product?
We are a healthcare company, and Rudderstack is the best CDP we found that is HIPAA compliant. The pricing is competitive and they've built out many connections. We found that it works very similarly to Segment which was nice for our engineering team.
What do you dislike about the product?
The documentation around transformations for PHI could be improved a bit and we had one connection that was missing that was pretty important to us (we set it up via webhook + transformation ourselves instead).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Piping data between tools for marketing and analytics purposes. It also allows us to remove PHI before piping information into tools that we don't have a BAA with (e.g. Amplitude).
Reduce the Dev lift to maintain your data pipeline
What do you like best about the product?
The UX is simple, and once the engineers understand the work to be done, implementation is quick. There are many out of the box integrations as well; you'll probably find what you need.
What do you dislike about the product?
In spite of the helpful people on the RS team, it's still taken us longer than we expected to get the pipeline set up and events flowing through. Also due to the sheer volume of events that we have, only a parallel implementation strategy would work. If you used RS from the get-go, you'd be better off.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were experiencing bottlenecks with part of our Eng pipeline when it came to analytics events. By shifting to RS, our backend resources will no longer be a blocker.
Fantastic tool with an amazing group of people behind it!
What do you like best about the product?
Two things come to mind:
Their event-based pricing model gives you a lot more flexibility in using it for different kinds of sources (website, apps, third-party tools) since you're not blowing throw MTUs unnecessarily.
Their transformation feature is simply a JavaScript function, meaning you can do just about anything you need to without being limited by what a GUI offers.

What do you dislike about the product?
While their ETL service offering has a decently sized catalog, they do not have ERDs for the extracted data schemas in their documentation. This leads to some digging into the raw extracted data to get started first.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It simplifies event data collection instrumentation, the integration of 3rd party tools, both client and server side, and helps ensure a single source of truth for all data.
