Works for Android and iOS in Maui
What do you like best about the product?
With OneSignal its the same for Android and iOS. Free for entry-level users. And it works.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a lot of extra features that we don't need, we just use push notifications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Relatively simple turnkey solution. We have a chat app for the scouts, and you can't have an effective chat app without notifications.

there are many features i have listed that can be particularly beneficial for my company THE AVIATION & Aeroguruji. Here are some key advantages:
1) i am using One signal push notification for my users, it helps us to keep users joined by instant updates and quick notification.
2) it also provide us an analytics to check how much peoples joined our channel. it also help to drive more traffice for website and more social media platform.

What do you like best about the product?
The dashboard is intuitive and easy to navigate, which makes setting up push notifications and campaigns simple and efficient, even for someone without a technical background. The ability to segment users based on detailed parameters such as location, behavior, and device type has greatly improved the relevance of our messaging and helped us target the right audience. The real-time analytics provide us with a clear understanding of how our notifications are performing, allowing us to quickly iterate on our strategy and improve engagement. Overall it's easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, setting up more complex workflows or multi-step automation sequences can feel a bit cumbersome. Making this more streamlined or adding more templates for common use cases could be a helpful enhancement. Maybe in app design editor could be more detailed. I really enjoyed more if I can create more customizable in app messages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
OneSignal is solving several critical problems related to user engagement and communication. Prior to using OneSignal, it was difficult to manage different communication channels efficiently, often requiring separate tools or platforms, which made it harder to maintain consistent messaging. In summary, OneSignal not only solves the problem of fragmented user communication but also enhances our ability to engage with users meaningfully, saving time and improving overall efficiency.

I’ve noticed that it’s not always easy to figure out how to turn off notifications if I change my mind later, which has caused a few headaches. Plus, getting things set up on iOS can be a bit of a hassle

OneSignal is really helping me by making it super easy to keep my audience engaged with my website, buolonline.com. With its push notification features, I can reach out to my readers directly, which boosts interaction and keeps them coming back for more news. Requires minimal configuration to get started.

has integration for sending email, push notifications and sms. Meaning I won't have to setup another library for these separately.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Shorten integration time for push and email notifications, thereby improving my productivity.
Ease of use and setup
What do you like best about the product?
It's an extremely fast setup so you can be up and running with a new mobile app using push notifications, and it allows you to grow as your app grows and need to use more of the features available in the paid plans.

We have used onesignal for about 12 different apps now and we still haven't found a downside to using a it.

It's very simple to use and allow us to experiment and grow before needing to switch to a paid plan.
The simplest push engine
What do you like best about the product?
It is the simplest push sending engine. The connection is very simple and soon we will go with our own custom designs.

APIs to obtain report data are missing. You can only get a CSV from the admin.

Today I have to save states in local storage and I have no way of knowing which notifications are opened by the users, and I can't mark their states without having a report of that information.
Great for Web Apps
What do you like best about the product?
I use OneSignal for my client's Logistic Web Application where I create web push notifications via the API to send notifications to drivers alerting them when a customer has paid for the package. The notification alerts the driver to perform the delivery.

Documentation can be a bit better, it was a little difficult to wrap my head around all the different features just to find the one I need.

For instance, features like priority support, higher messaging limits, and advanced customization options are locked behind these plans.
