Just the best
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of setup and management belies the advanced administration capabilities of Jamf.
What do you dislike about the product?
Training is very expensive. Outside of that it checks every box.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are managing a very large fleet in many ways better than our windows management.
Ease of Use
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf has configured their admin console to be able to quickly navigate the platform and to get exactly where is needed in a timely manner. This has helped in certain scenarios when something quickly is needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
On the policies screen you can collapse a section. However if you leave the screen and come back you have to re collapse the screen. It would be nice to have it stay collapsed until I needed to open it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mac management.

Using Jamf to manage macs is great
What do you like best about the product?
The community. So many other macadmins smarter than myself who always blogging and answering questions in slack and the Jamf forums.
What do you dislike about the product?
The constant push to try to move everyone to cloud and converting us all to subscription. From a business view I obviously get it, but don’t forget about us smaller customers who want to save money to run Jamf on Prem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing macs. Enforcing policies. Reporting on macs for audits.
Great System with Low Maintenance
What do you like best about the product?
In my experience, JAMF Pro just works. There haven't been any bad experiences enrolling new iOS devices or any situations where I couldn't get policies to push to our devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
JAMF Pro needs better organization. It would be nice to have organization trees that you could organize Static Groups with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JAMF Pro helps us keep app rollout and licenses up to date. It also makes enrolling new devices a breeze and allows us to manage devices as specifically as on an individual basis.

Great Tool for Managing Devices At Our School!
What do you like best about the product?
The fact I can work on devices without having to track them down. Enrolling devices in iOS is quick and easy. Pushing out Apps and updates to our Mac Computers is easy. Finding information on computers and devices is simple. Building Configuration Profiles and Enrolling new devices makes sense. So far I've really enjoyed using this Management Tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the menu's can be convoluted and have multiple layers. Other then that I really haven't come across much that I dislike. Sometimes running JAMF in my browser can be slow. Also, sometimes when we push out commands some of them don't get through. However, this could be due to our Firewall. Other then that, no real things I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scripting and pushing configuration profiles to devices. Licensing Apps and using Apple School Manager has been a challenge. The JAMF Nation Articles have made finding the information I need much easier though. Really haven't come across any issues we haven't been able to solve by going online and reading forums and articles. Lots of great support!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It works, and has been an effective Tool for getting our job done. It has definitely been a learning curve but feel it has everything I need to effectively do my job once I've been using it a bit longer. Very excited to start using it to it's full potential.
Strait forward tool, but some things not easy to understand
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can distribute app inside organization and it is pretty straightforward. Moreover, I can create user groups not to distribute for everyone. Also, feature or Self-Service is pretty nice.
What do you dislike about the product?
Several things:
- I can not simply put a txt file on the device at specific location. In order to distribute app with a license, the license key is needed to be placed in app support folder. But some apps (like Setapp4Teams) requires updates of the license file. In order to do that, I need to create a .pckg file or create a file with script. It is hard.
- when I distributed an app (Setapp4Teams) using JAMF, I forgot to sign it. But self service just tells “Error occurred” it was hard to understand what was the problem.

I don’t need to manually distribute apps and manage licenses.
