Jamf Pro makes my job fun to do

What do you like best about the product?
I've been around long enough to remember imaging devices every semester. Jamf helps my team not to do that! Imaging is dead! I like the ease of use. Jamf GUI is for the most part self-explanatory. Jamf Support is very helpful and a pleasure to work with too!
What do you dislike about the product?
There's always room for improvements but overall, I'm very happy with the product and it's usefulness. I would like to see more built in reporting tools for our Audit teams. I would also like to see a built in ticketing system. One last thing, is a renewable SSL Cert integrating with CertBot would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem that was solved moving to Jamf was software deployments. Through VPP and Automated Device Enrollment, that problem was no more. Now we focus on SERVICE and HELPING Users with their Technology ISSUES more than deployments and updates.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Needs a built in ticketing system.

JAMF Pro keeps evolving and that’s a good thing

What do you like best about the product?
I can’t say enough about JAMF Pro. We had our jump start 6 years ago this month and have not looked back. It’s doing everything we need it to do and more. Finding new ways to make life easier for our team to manage our fleet of Apple devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can’t say there have been too many challenges with JAMF Pro in our small environment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Most recently managing software updates. When to make available, for how long and then eventually forced.

What do you like best about the product?
Switching from on premise to jamf hosted cloud has been a boon for engineering focus. We no longer need to manage hundreds of on prem servers in stead of focusing of user experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
No database access, no client connection indication. (Live Tomcat connection counts)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Infrastructure support, talent time allocation.

Better than mosyle

What do you like best about the product?
The UI is very intuitive. Everything makes sense. Really makes configuring and managing my fleet a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
The solution is pretty expensive in a one to one school environment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to hand a new in box device to a user without imaging is great.

Jamf Pro the best tool

What do you like best about the product?
I like Jamf Pro because it is easy to form policies and create software for a large group of users, as well as it is useful to create reports in your ecosystem for executives of level C. On the other hand I can find amounts of customization and community to contribute patches of Software and security.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not think that there is still a function to patch custom-made Mac enabled with T2 chip. I would like there to be easier ways to configure templates for integrated policies and scripts. As well as the delay options are very limited. Although the text is customizable, the preferences beyond the pre-determined times are very scarce.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf Pro offers us to implement customized scripts packages that give us great help to end users to obtain software automatically and we can also use it to apply security patches and thus keep all systems protected against vulnerabilities.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Jamf Pro is effective in maintaining a company's Mac computer. We think it is an effective tool to manage iPads and other Apple devices, however if the company is smaller and does not use many Macs, it is probably more of a tool than it needs.

What do you like best about the product?
Jamf takes the often confusing world of device management and makes it easy for Admins to manage a fleet of devices from Apple. This is apparent when moving from any other MDM Solution to Jamf.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jury is still out. We’re a new install and haven’t found anything we’ve disliked yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to completely manage all of our Apple devices and controlling Data and App access based on department.

What do you like best about the product?
Its ease of use, and pricing model. Jamf Pro is as complicated as you want to make it, yet very simple in how it's presented to the user.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can have a large price up front with the on-boarding requirement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to manage our fleet of iOS and macOS as well as we manage our fleet of Windows computers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Pull the trigger, you won't find a better solution for managing your macOS and iOS fleet.

What do you like best about the product?
JAMF is very easy to use and manage a large fleet of macOS and iOS devices. There’s something new that I learn everyday that I didn’t know I could do with JAMF.
What do you dislike about the product?
You can either choose to host this yourself or use a cloud version. The two options used to come with the same functionality but with the introduction of app installers, the two have a few different features. Totally understandable why they did this, but for me it's just something that I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
If we didn’t use JAMF Pro day to day life would be very hard. We use it for literally everything, pushing out packages, config profiles, updates and upgrades, banned software. That’s just the tip of the iceberg.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate most the continual improvement and currency of JAMF offerings. As a long time customer, partner their continued investment in our success is notable.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can’t say anything is a downside since we can start with Jamf Now and move up to cloud or on premise as needed.
The products are available for all budget levels and needs. You can scale this to fit your needs very well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rapid deployment, analytics, software App Store, configuration, provisioning and rolling out new software globally.

Get involved on JAMF Nation and with Jamf Now - start small and you will succeed quickly as you realize the efficiencies it allows.
