Great value and user experience
What do you like best about the product?
As a product designer, I was relatively new to data analysis when I first opened Mixpanel, but in a fraction of minutes, I was able to get answers to some of the questions that I had. After cluttered and unintuitive GA it was a breath.
It took some time to learn all the powerful features of Mixpanel (and here I want to thank them for organizing great and insightful webinars both about their product and data analysis in general), but each step provided new insights into our users' behavior.
Now we use Mixpanel across all departments of our startup and it's an essential tool for everyone there.
What I love the best is how flexible and intuitive it is.
It took some time to learn all the powerful features of Mixpanel (and here I want to thank them for organizing great and insightful webinars both about their product and data analysis in general), but each step provided new insights into our users' behavior.
Now we use Mixpanel across all departments of our startup and it's an essential tool for everyone there.

What do you dislike about the product?
It requires thoughtful implementation and events QA at our side, but it's not necessarily a bad thing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a managed marketplace app. That has two sides in it: demand and supply app. It's easy to distinguish between them with Mixpanel's filters and cohorts.
Another benefit is Mixpanel's dashboards We have one per each app module and also tailor-made dashboards for different departments: sales, marketing, product. Setting all of them took me no more then a couple of hours, and now everyone at the company can get answers directly from them.

What do you like best about the product?
The general easiness of the site, the different types of reports that can be created and obviously the unique data that comes with it.

Can't think of any dislikes..............
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Instead of making decisions based solely on gut feeling, internal wishes or by talking with a limited amount of customers it's with mixpanel possible to make decisions based on data based on behavoir of app users etc...

User-friendly, comprehensive and flexible tracking platform
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that you can start tracking something so quickly and easily, and that you can adjust any misses or changes later on using custom eventing and such.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the way they handle device tracking and anonymous users isn't ideal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Detailed funnel analytics and improvements, trend and activity measurement. Vet interest of new features and paths. Settle team debates on how things are performing.
Robust but for engineers
What do you like best about the product?
Mixpanel can really capture any metric in any format like daily monthly, or cumulative!

It takes a developer to connect the metric tracking into a web app or platform

What do you like best about the product?
Real time logging of user activities, ability to segment users, funnel visualization and the ease of using the tool in general
What do you dislike about the product?
Even though the development process is very simple, it still took some time. I wonder if codeless implementation is better than the current instrumentation

Funnel visualization, user segmentation, and real time logging are three gaps that our internal tools don't offer. Mixpanel offers these three things that are valuable to teams

I would like if there were more columns viewable in the User spreadsheet

I'm tracking how our users use our app! I've learned about how different categories of users have different retention rates and that has really impacted future feature development.

once you learn how to use reports it's pretty straightforward to run reports for what you're looking for

I can't see the rich info I can in the live view also in a report format

usage of the tool by our customers (we are part of the same company, we're the tech team of the same parent company)

structure your events carefully and have an analyst if you want to understand what someone is actually doing, it's not like a video recording of the customer's interaction

The ability to create custom dashboards, compare anything in an instant, and allow teams to dig into the data themselves!

Easy to get overwhelmed with data and report on similar but different metrics.

The best product analytics platform!
What do you like best about the product?
It just works. It's easy to implement. Data comes at high speeds. It is very user friendly and built from the ground up with features that stack on one another with ease, allowing for very complex analysis with the use of simple tools being used in conjunction. Ever since 2019 there's been a never ending stream of fantastic new products and features, even those that are in beta work extremely well with other features. Also, it has the best customer success service!
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited dashboard customization features such as changing color schemes, allowing vertical resize and adding blocks of text. Journey feature was not expanded after entering beta. Formulas allows only basic mathematical operators.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Pretty much everything regarding product analytics and messaging. We have benefited all the time with it's ease of use and speed.
