Great product, not always the most intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
I really like visualisation of data and how easy it can be to breakdown over a time period to quickly pick up the desired data points.
What do you dislike about the product?
When setting up charts it is not always the most intuitive and can require a bit of playing around with it to get the desired axis. I'd suggest making this is simple as possible to remove the barriers to entry.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm using it to visualise data. I'm about to quickly see the insights we need to make strategic business decisions.
A helpful QA tool
What do you like best about the product?
User-friendly nature and overall fast response times in searches
What do you dislike about the product?
UI Ambiguity, sometimes categories have similar nomenclature
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping track of user ID's and their overall contributions to the api
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a must-have for User ID tracking and data analysis
The #1 analytics platform I rely on
What do you like best about the product?
(1) Dashboards: ability to build a summarized view of the key reports and metrics I need to glance at every single day
(2) Users Segmentation: ability to dissect users at the most granular level using custom events, user properties, and/or pre-built cohorts including unique filters such as "Duplicates", "First Time Filter", "frequency of occurrence" and timeframes.
(3) Funnels: the most important bit here is the ability to set the steps of the funnels as "occurred in specific order" or "occurred in any order" along with a "breakdown" option by a certain event, a certain property, or a cohort
(4) Retention analysis (my fav):
>> Can build a Retention by setting event A and event B as the same (recurring retention) or as different events (normal retention)
>> Can build a frequency type analysis
>> Can switch between an Unbounded Retention (returns on or after x day) vs N. Day Retention (returns on x day)
(5) Support: It can sometimes get complicated when building sophisticated reports. Their team are always available to help and often reply in detailed threads and share examples to make your life easier.

What do you dislike about the product?
They're sunsetting their Messages service by end of 2021.
Huge disappointment. It was so easy to manage the messaging of users (via email or push notifs) based on all the segmentation and analysis I run inside Mixpanel.
But I guess, they chose to retire Messages to better focus on their core offering (analytics) and avoid the tough competition on the messaging side.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To put it simply, 2 primary benefits:
PRODUCT IMPROVEMENT: understanding WHAT is working and what is not working from a product perspective (user flows, funnels, session time, core events analysis)
USER PERSONA DEFINITION: understanding WHO is using the product addictively in order to define the most accurate user persona (defines how we go about our distribution strategy).

MixPanel is really easy to use. I couldn't imagine my job without it.
What do you like best about the product?
All the ways to slice and dice data - !!
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't put some reports on your dashboard
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
How our users interact with search. How an A/B experiment is going.
I can almost always find the answer I need with mixpanel
What do you like best about the product?
Breaking down reports and graphs by a certain property. This means you can easily get useful insights into your data in a much easier way than in Google Analytics for example.
What do you dislike about the product?
Determining first time use is a bit tricky, and I find the way it handles navigation on SPAs a bit confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Not having to go and add instrumentation to the app because mixpanel is very flexible.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's better than Google analytics!
The best analytics platform by far
What do you like best about the product?
It's built for mobile apps first, not just as an afterthought. It has powerful customization capabilities, and you can create funnels and every type of report you can imagine. Mixpanel makes gleaning insight from your data easy, as opposed to a black box with unclear results.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's definitely on the more expensive side. There are free analytics solutions out there (such as Google's Firebase, Facebook's Analytics), but I've tried them all, and Mixpanel is worth the money. Mixpanel also offered some incentives for early-stage startups to try out the platform, making it easier to explore the benefits.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Mixpanel to track engagement within our mobile app. We are also using it to track user behavior within our web surfaces as well. For the first time, I feel that we are finally empowered to use our data to gain insights and explore user behavior. Even with the same exact data being logged to other analytics platforms, we were unable to get as many insights.
We also hope to try out Mixpanel's messaging features soon, but have not gotten a chance to try them out yet.

The most intuitive data analysis platform for digital products
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of use, their constant innovation, and the power of the tool. You can really dive deep and answer your own questions without needing an analyst. I also love that Mixpanel is constantly improving its interface and adding features. The dashboards are next level now. The new marketing analysis suite is also amazing!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the messages product wasn't being sunsetted. It's something I've relied on and used regularly, I love how deeply connected it was to the data in Mixpanel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to find leaky funnels, issues with engagement, retention, and even debug issues in production. I can understand what my users' behavior is.
Mixpanel helps me understand our business and users' intent better. This helps me make decisions on where to invest and where ROI is positive.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Think long and hard about your initial syntax and nomenclature of events and properties. Its worth the time investment
Best Product Analytics tool
What do you like best about the product?
Simple and clean interface and well-documented API
What do you dislike about the product?
It would have been great to see a list of users in the funnel step without creating a cohort.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using to analyze product usage, with Mixpanel we can identify and improve the most used features
One of the best tools I have ever used
What do you like best about the product?
It's impressive the way to measure the data, the reports, funnels, and insights.
Now I have a clear vision of my entire funnel and the path of each user. I was tracking everything with Google Analytics but to be honest for SaaS products is not easy at all to measure events and customer journeys as easy as using Mixpanel.

What do you dislike about the product?
The limits of events, if you're growing you'll need to upgrade very fast
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm tracking almost every step of my users and customers inside Mixpanel.
But also I'm sending data to see what feature are my users using the most.

Best tool for in the market to really understand your customers behaviour!
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to learn a lot about your customers in a quick 30 minutes before starting your day. As long the events have been implemented properly, there is a lot you can learn from our customers without having the need to schedule interviews. MP has often enabled me during discussions on validatin hypotheses to find he answers within minutes. MP enables me to get these answers without the need to connect with our research team, of or stakeholders. I can often within 30 minutes build out a proper framework of Problems to solve and hypothesis that are confirmed with data. Big appreciation of the support of MP, they are availble to support you where needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
you need a strong understanding of the anaylicts and how to analyze data. MixPanel is very elaborate, but this means a long-ish period of understanding how to use the tool. Especially the specific events that are unique ot each organization will take some time to understand. If we want to understand a behaviour or discover a problem, you have to double check your events you've entered in order to get the right answers. The risk is close that you enter in the wrong events, and act on inaccurate data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have discovered several critical customer problems using the several implementations of MixPanel. It allows for every compelling "Sense and respond" session. The creation of cohorts will enable me to follow a specific group of users from onboarding and understand their behavior, and target them using third-party services. The creation of dashboards provides stakeholders a quick update on the performance of specific features and understand where improvements are required.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is without a doubt the best product available for analyzing your customer's behavior within your product environment.
