Easy to use platform that gives a lot of insights
What do you like best about the product?
Lots of options on what you can do -- from creating user flows to answering questions about how users use your product. It's also very intuitive!
What do you dislike about the product?
Integrations with mail tools like Intercom is not seamless. It still takes quite some time to become a 'power user'.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of creating reports based on other reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
Auto-generated insights are missing or not easily found. Also I am not sure on how to integrate data easily to Zendesk.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Evaluate bounce rate and user interest once on site.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are setting it up for the first time, the tutorials on the success plan are very valuable.
Best tool for product analytics
What do you like best about the product?
Mixpanel UI is the best when it comes to using events and application activity tracking. The report making and cohort building processes are very simple.
If used well, and the events/properties are implemented well, users can get into the depths of their products to understand potential bottlenecks and issues.
Moreover, the sharing and access capabilites are pretty seamless as one can manage the levels of accesses at user level and team level.

What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the recent changes to the product were a bit troublesome to keep track of. While I was very comfortable with the report building functionalities, they changed over time which made it a bit complicated for me to get used to.
Also, the rigid nature of dashboard building is something that bugs me, no custom report sizing and setup.

The process of analytics and segmentation is very simple for me to meet my client expectations when it comes to reporting numbers. I can easily setup dashboards for different stakeholders within a couple of hours.

Great tool if you want to monitor website or app activities to the most granular levels. Get a good developer who can implement the events and properties well to your product and see Mixpanel do the wonder for you.

The instant insight feature saves lots of query effort.

The price could always be more competitive.

It could answer over 80% of product analytics issues with properter integration and training, saving lots of effort and time.

What do you like best about the product?
There are a lot of things that I find amazing with Mixpanel. Here are some of the things that I love.
1. The UI is incredible. I honestly haven't seen a better-looking analytics tool on the market.
2. Running real-time intelligent analysis is so easy. I have created plenty of SQL queries before. With MP, you can create the same queries in a fraction of the time.
3. Custom Properties and Events - This allows you to overcome pretty much any data collection obstacle
4. Cohorting is super easy to do. It is easy to run these cohort users into various types of analysis.

What do you dislike about the product?
I would love it if this product had a FB conversions API integration. This would make data transfer to Facebook much easier. There could also be some improvements that I would suggest making to the table view. It can be difficult to set up in a way that allows you to produce extremely insightful insights.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Funnel conversion analysis is the tool that we use most frequently. Recently, we discovered that we had a problem with converting Android OS 11 users. This allowed us to identify the updates that we needed to make to the product that would lead to more customers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure to understand what KPIs you would like to measure before implementing Mixpanel. A lot of people get their implementation wrong because they do not know what they want to track so instead, they track everything. This will often cause a lot of noise in your system and drag out implementation time. Having a plan will make your life 1000x easier in the end.

What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to install in the application and the data is super rich for analyzing the software's usage behavior. I love it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to be able to access the full history of interactions instead of just the last 100.

The benefits are numerous. It's important to understand what features the users are using or not I would say is the main thing for me.

I've tried other similar tools but Mixpanel was the best.
Great for questions, awesome for visuals
What do you like best about the product?
The built in questions functionality is great. It makes running queries much easier because you can think of them as a logical question insureds of a logical query. It makes finding answers to your questions much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is that it doesn't use SQL so writing custom queries (when needed) is a bit of a pain.

Mixpanel helps me understand how our customers are using our product so I can be proactive with their account health

Implementation has been very smooth and we could get started within two days.

Experience has been very good so far, some queries are slower but much faster than the alternative we use currently.

What do you dislike about the product?
Understanding retention metrics can be complicated. Helping users understand the calculations through tooltips would be very helpful.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to better understand customer behaviour once they are inside our application. Mixpanel is helping understand how to measure these metrics, so that we can build a strategy around how to better manage our customers. Mixpanel is also forcing us to pen down our north-star and focus metrics which is essential in having a clear target and then working towards it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Mixpanel focuses only on customer metrics. You need to do your customer engagement in another tool. But for a product person, a very strong and powerful product analytics tool provides more insight than a tool where product analytics is just one more feature amongst the 1000s of other features. I have not compared Mixpanel to Amplitude, and don't have the bandwidth to do so. But I picked one based on the positive feedback I got from others in the startup space and am sticking to it. There is much to learn about customer analytics for product managers, so pick a tool and focus on that aspect first.
