Support for DBA queries
What do you like best about the product?
We use MixPanel extensively, and as QA I find it so useful to be able to determine the picture of our customers, their profile, their activity. This helps me determine where to test, and also to determine the impact of any field issues we find (i.e., how many it impacts)
What do you dislike about the product?
That the data is obfuscated behind views. The views are extremely handy for getting to some very useful views quickly, but once one wants to go a step deeper, one is blocked. I would love to be able to construct DBA style queries against the data to dig deeper

I have been using it for 2 months now and found it useful to make data based product decisions
What do you like best about the product?
I like the flows feature in Mixpanel. I can now easily track where the users are dropping off the most and improve the userflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
I need to click on the Save button in the dashboard every time there is some change. I often forget to click, and all my changes are lost.

I regularly conduct marketing experiments across various marketing channels and optimize for the conversions using funnels.

I like that it has various types of charts, but especially Flows and Funnels.

Sometimes we do not know what entity we are working with and create new calculated fields.

Business analytics. With the funnels and flows charts we can better understand our customers' behavior.

What do you like best about the product?
Cohorts. They're the best way to find out what's the problem with your users.

I think the only downside is that it isn't intuitive enough. Like, I struggled to understand some concepts until I deep dived into the website to find a solution

What do you dislike about the product?
- Mixpanel originally had messaging capabilities that they are removing. It's sad to see them go
- Their SDK seems to occasionally have weird issues that have been hard to debug. Rare, but time consuming

We needed a source for all our our analytics with a low barrier to entry for users without an analytics background. Mixpanel fit the bill
One of the best in its class
What do you like best about the product?
Great options for slicing your data, never felt that it was slow to process any query you throw at it. Provides valuable insights into your customer's behavior (provided you set up the data collection right). Also an excellent tool for tracking your business KPIs. Good customer support, responds quickly to any queries.
What do you dislike about the product?
Correct set up might be tricky, takes time to start getting good quality data. Strogly suggest to read all manuals/knowledge base carefully before implementing integration. However, it's not Mixpanel's problem, but it wa possibly a problem with our specific implementation.

Tracking user behavior and team/company-wide KPIs. Most of development/business decisions are based on data from Mixpanel
Mixpanel is a great tool for many pre-determined product analysis, however it lacks customization.
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy and fast I can make many classical product analyses. Adding filters and breakdowns to generate insights quickly within specific segments/cohorts on my users
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not so easy to view data in my own way. I may want to add more columns to an "insights" analysis or aggregate in different ways that Mixpanel does not allow me to. A good benchmark for this solution is Google's Looker, which basically allows you to edit columns and lines with different aggregations

I am constantly analyzing user data to make decisions on what features to build and how to build them. I have been able to find a lot of different trends and insights mainly describing what characteristics differ from groups with high vs low engagement

Finding out drop-offs in a process, we have reduced the number of steps for a process based on Mixpanel insights

It could be a great tool for early-stage startups to look at crucial analytics and understand user behaviours since the product inception.
