Great analytics software for any small to large company
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of creating data charts to better understand product/website behavior. It's super easy to create a funnel chart to understand user dropoff for any interesting funnel.
The seamless Segment integration makes everything easier as it's a plug and play integration and then everything is synced to Mixpanel

What do you dislike about the product?
There is no option to add alerts for specific charts. It could be super useful to use the tool for feature monitoring.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understanding user behavior. We have Segment implemented on our marketing site and app and it's super easy to track end-to-end user behavior and conversions. The benefits are easy access to data for everyone in the organization, no need to be an analyst.
The only fully reliable product analytics solution
What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity yet depth of all the products. Reading retention metrics is a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes custom integrations become tricky without a developer's help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing dashboard for key metrics. Easy of use and quick setup is for any new application is a lifesaver.
Great platform to visualise and analyse raw data
What do you like best about the product?
The different kinds of visualization and query reports can be easily shared between the teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
The new update of iOS had do not track features and because of that, we are not able to track events from the web-app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With the help of mixpanel event tracking, we are able to analyze the user experience.
Very easy to use and find data driven answers to our big questions.
What do you like best about the product?
Usability is impeccable, love the insights with flow reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
Didn't find an easy way to see clients' life cycle yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm quickly finding answers to complex questions based on data and user behavior.
Intuitive and easy-to-learn data analysis, great for non-tech folks
What do you like best about the product?
Crisp and easy-to-understand UI. Reports that are easy on the eye. Flexible and powerful. Many ways to visualize your data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Requires additional integrations for attribution data - and this was a bit confusing for us initially.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're using it to measure engagement for kids' games. It has helped us measure and improve engagement metrics such as start-to-complete funnels and time spent, in a very granular and detailed way.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Integrate early, that's when it's most powerful. Easily the best data analysis front-end I've worked with.
The best analytics platform ever!
What do you like best about the product?
The UX is perfect. You can create the dashboard you want.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to keep sending SMS and email from Mix Pannel directly
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can see the funnel easily, and I receive alerts every day about outliers.
Excellent analytics tool
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use even for non-technical PMs. Has really helped me understand where we have breakdowns in our product. Also amazing that it's free up to a certain level of usage.
What do you dislike about the product?
There aren't downsides for my team currently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We help connect students with peer mentors in a university setting. Mixpanel helps us find out where we could be more effectively engaging our users.
A Smooth Interface
What do you like best about the product?
I like using Mixpanel for its speed and responsive UI (I have also used Clevertap, which works very slowly!)
I especially like the breakdown feature, it helps generate insights quickly, and I also like the option to compare a report to another time frame.

What do you dislike about the product?
For the option, "In the Last' in time filters, I cannot filter time by hours (For example - I can do 'In the last 1 day,' but I cannot do 'In the last 1 hour'). As a person running Daily operations for a feature, it would help me if I could do that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can see insights and effects of changes I bring in operations for the community I'm handling in our product.
For example - I run a lot of engagement experiments (for example - Conduct a Rap Battle tournament for the Rap Community), and I use Mixpanel to see how well the experiments do.

The best self-service analytics solution for B2B SaaS
What do you like best about the product?
Timely access to insights - ability to build a report during a meeting
Easy to add our own event metadata - critical for complex products where features/event codes exist in parts of your product
Bi-directional user flows (second and third order use case impact)
Custom cohorts & events (simple for PMs to join event codes)
Price - MTU is a great pricing model for high price point products vs. seat-based pricing. Exceeding our license with Mixpanel is a good problem to have.
Customer service - our rep holds bi-weekly office hours where the team can drop in and ask questions
Data security & anonymization - identifying user information not sent / cannot be parsed out which was critical to the implementation of a 3rd party solution

What do you dislike about the product?
Difficult to build custom feature taxonmies/hierarchies
No vertical or time series bar charts
Unable to create data table view with custom calculations in individual columns. Presentations often require exporting the underlying data.
Unable to bucket the small elements into a single "other" bucket in breakdowns

Analysis in Mixpanel is ubiquitous in product decision making. It is an excellent tool for understanding user behavior especially for sophisticated software/platforms.
A few examples:
Day of release monitoring.
Core product dashboards for weekly standups
Understanding where users churn in key product workflows
Instant analysis into key feature metrics (adoption, stickiness, velocity).
Client segmentation & breakdowns by user/feature parameters.
Measuring impact to 1st/2nd/3rd order use cases in A/B testing.
Mixpanel provides the value of 10+ dedicated analysts at a fraction of the cost. The majority of PMs are daily or weekly active users of Mixpanel. It's a great product and they continue to push out feature releases/improvements at an impressive pace. Nice work, Mixpanel team!

Empowers me to give Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing teams the data insights they need
What do you like best about the product?
Mixpanel recommends insight reports that are automatically sent to me via email if I choose. These have been helpful so far. I also love cohorts. I know that I am not yet using them as much as possible, but I plan to integrate them fully into our email marketing, product marketing, Appcues, and other processes. I work on a small startup team as the growth marketer. Still, Mixpanel has empowered me to help take on Product Management and Product Marketing responsibilities that were previously gaps on our team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the reporting could be more user-friendly in terms of building them. That said, I've made most of the reports that my team and I have wanted with very few roadblocks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In our young startup phase, Mixpanel is solving for all-things product analytics. Various team members across Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Product come to me with questions about our platform's membership, product analytics, retention, and more. I can almost invariably give them some insights by using Mixpanel. I believe using Mixpanel from the BEGINNING of our product's launch is helping us prevent future data silos because our whole team is relying on the data in Mixpanel to help inform our strategies.
