Absolutely useful tool for finding some user's troubles
What do you like best about the product?
I like Mixpanel's user interface, which helps to find any cases quickly. I really appreciate the search filters that help to build difficult and complex searching requests.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't believe that Mixpanel has some features that I really dislike. Sometimes I'm confused by search results but I'm sure it's incorrect setting up of events and properties on our side.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mixpanel helps me to understand what exactly the user did before the issue appearing and it helps to reproduce this issue and solve the problem. It helps to sort all accounts and find suitable users quickly
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a great tool for getting the accuracy analytic of your product!
We get everything we wanted , the UX is super easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
It's way to create reports or dashboards. It's super ORGANISED to understand how everything.
The hierarchy is unbeliable
- Dashboards
- - Reports (Multiple Types)
- - Breakdowns to further dive
- - Filters for ocassional use
And then select how you want the metric to be shown. not just counts and distinct counts, but aggregate properties with percentile% and others. Percentile is something which was done properly by RJMetrics before few years back. Nobody else has done that. Now good to see that is available in Mixpanel.

What do you dislike about the product?
I think in terms of implementation, it was not easy go for everybody. Or neither we didn't had a chance to learn the implementation properly. May be it cannot be easily implemented in GA but i missed this part to be honest.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
User journey and event trends. That's the first thing I want to see when i open the laptop everyday.
3 Things I check every morning
1. The simple one of Registration and Activated Users trend
2. The cohort movement from registration to ACtivated
3. The deep funnel which has 11 steps. I compare this by 3-7days rolling period. By this, I see if there is something wrong in user journey(drop off). This has helped us once to identify an issue with Registration stage.
All this things by country. That's my dashboard

Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think just implement mixpanel as an MVP, (not full implementation). And allow your small team to use it for few days. If it was easy for them to use, then you suggest implement.
It's not features or implementation or anything that is important for company growth. It's whether the end-users can use the tool properly or is it going to be a steep learning curve?

Modular and simply customisable - The perfect board for a data-driven product team!
What do you like best about the product?
The modularity of data visualisation is pretty exceptional. It is easy to work with our technical team, and then even easier to pull the right metrics for our products if you aren't familar with SQL.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I actively dislike about Mixpanel, it is a pretty solid experience and everything worked as it should. I think generating filter sets could be an area of the UX to improve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visualising of Product metrics across multiple product teams without SQL or Techincal dependency. Helping us keep up as we grow into being a data-driven product culture.
Good experience
What do you like best about the product?
Insight and funnels functionalities, because both allow me as head of product to have more visibility in user behavior to make informed decisions to build a better product.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see the time when an event was logged according to my time zone (location). Also, regarding loading times for events there sometimes is a lag affecting the efficiency and time invested in tests or analysis. Another thing that could also help me is, for params that could have a variety of combinations to be able to see it individually, example: when the user could select several interests it is not scalable for me to have 1 param per interest and when tracking this by id there is a wide variety of combinations in the values this param will bring back, therefore to make an analysis as combinations and individually would be very helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Some of the main problems we are solving using Mixpanel are:
1. Understanding user behavior - Tracking users' behavior throughout the app to pinpoint most used features, viewed activities, etc.
2. Data Analysis - When releasing a new build we can track if the implemented changes are achieving our KPIs or proving our hypothesis.
3. Debugging - Mixpanel gives us visibility to understand where an issue or crash in the app might be triggered, also by finding patterns that might trigger a crash.

Mixpanel is powerful and intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
Mixpanel is by far the most capable and flexible product analytics package I've used. We're finally able to answer all the questions we have about how people are using our product and getting many valuable insights about what to build next.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few quirks to the reports that I'd like to see addressed (eg, AFAIK you cannot add two filtered views of an event to the same report) but nothing that's a showstopper by any means.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've been relying on Google Analytics to learn how people are using our product, but it's always been clunky and difficult on both the implementation and reporting side. Now with Mixpanel, we have much more clarity about exactly what people are doing which is already guiding our roadmap in critical ways.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You will need an engineer to implement Mixpanel. It's not hard to implement, but it's not something a non-technical person can handle.
Best analytical tool
What do you like best about the product?
Mixpanel is literally the best analytical tool that I've ever come across. I wish i knew it much earlier so I could reap its advantage.
What do you dislike about the product?
More analytical tools such as a/b test and other tag management that GA offers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Determining user behavior and seeing what works versus what doesn't.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it asap!
Mixpanel is your primary choice if your company is data driven, or if it’s trying to become one
What do you like best about the product?
The structure of analytical reports and their visual representation makes Mixpanel easy to use and explain even to a complete outsider. So far, it's miles ahead firebase+Google analytics, and certain integrations make it a lot better option for me in comparison to Amplitude.
What do you dislike about the product?
If only I knew from the very beginning that I better keep my tracking plan simple - that would've substantially improved the accuracy of reports overall. Some tips on that would be awesome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Mixpanel to create reports, funnels and flows mostly. It helps us find where conversion to key activity drops, how come we are selling better this month and so on. Sometimes it serves as healthy substitute to sql database, when I need to find user or cohort specific information.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do not overcomplicate it with multiple events, better sort additional data with parameters, cohorts and user properties
Super easy to create analytics, visualise and save reports in multiple formats
What do you like best about the product?
1. Able to create funnels to see where users are going after an event.
2. Switching between insights, funnels and flows for the same set of events.
Having the freedom to create analytics in any form useat and yet see users details for across timelines makes me happy enough to not look anywhere else but mixpanel for taking any decision regarding our product.

What do you dislike about the product?
We loved the tool so much, we've ended up adding way too many events, it would have been helpful if duplicate events can be merged or combined or pointed out somehow
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. See how many users are using certain features
2. See user action and journey after an event or using certain feature on our platform : tells us how useful a feature was
3. Helps us take better decisions for next feature releases
4. Super important for PLG, as our company is taking a step towards it, insightful data is holy grail

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Add events smartly and you're all set.
Mixpanel Should Be The First Tool You Setup With a New Product

What do you dislike about the product?
More integrations with more providers. Some of Mixpanel's best features (e.g. cohorts) have limited support by integration partners.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mixpanel helps us understand customer behavior at scale, by cohort, and also by individuals. It helps us make better decisions by understanding what's working and what's not.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
With the ease of install, I recommend getting it up and running quickly with a small set of your most criticaly valuable behavioral events. This will allow you to begin asking questions of the data and see first hand how Mixpanel can help. The great temptation is to TRACK ALL THE THINGS, but it's much better to build out as you go based on questions you're asking and what you want to learn, otherwise you may be overwhelmed by the data and be uncertain what to do with it.
It's been very helpful to understand our customers and our product behavior.
What do you like best about the product?
Its capability to customize almost everything and also its granularity.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I had to check the documentation to understand the web and also to integrate it into our product, I wasn't sure if I was checking the correct source. There are many sources for doing the same thing that confused me to know which one was updated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Users and business metrics. In all businesses, it is important to make decisions based on the most information possible. Mixpanel helped us to decide whether or not a decision made was worth it but also to know when and how to take another direction.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a complete tool to make business decisions driven by numbers.
