Mixpanel: A deeper dive into product analysis
What do you like best about the product?
Mixpanel enables us to track a lot of events on our app, and consequently develop and measure important metrics based on these events. This has given us a deeper level of insight into how users interacted with the products that we never used to have.
What do you dislike about the product?
Mixpanel requires some technical know-how to implement. For less technical teams or users, this can pose a challenge to utilizing mixpanel to its full potential.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mixpanel allows us to track events as user actions on our app. In tracking these events, we can measure key metrics around product engagement, activation, retention, growth and so on. By doing this, Mixpanel helps us ensure that we're actively monitoring metrics that matter, and working to improve them.

Mixpanel is most user friendly tool out their without compromising on the complex data processing features

So far haven't got across any downsides of Mixpanel

A tool to support my vision with data
What do you like best about the product?
Incredible interface with reliable data. Mixpanel helps me provide value for the company, even if I'm not a data analyst! I love the ease of creating cohorts. I can go anywhere with the available options, which means I can analyse and segment in a comprehensive way, enabling me to add a lot of value to my company and my peers!
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love to see more AI and ML features to support my analysis. Also, a learning approach would be fantastic to have, as I'm not a data analyst, even though I'm able to use it in a relevant way
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Mixpanel to create specific cohorts so I can send messages to the app's user when it matters the most with content that is relevant to them. It helps me to understand the context deeply.
My experience using MixPanel
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that MixPanel is fast and reliable. It helps me during my investigation to easily track customers' geolocation. With MixPanel, I easily detect customers trying to hide their geolocation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, I don't have any dislikes. MixPanel is organized. I just wish there will more features that allows one to track people's address when using their bank cards to withdraw cash and not just the country.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Well I work as a Financial Crime Investigator in a FinTech company and with MixPanel, I can easily track customers that use mismatching geolocations that doesn't align with what they signed up with. For instance, a customer can sign up with a UK address but after checking their last 6 months location with MixPanel, I will notice that the customer is not within the EU/EEA region maybe in Nigeria or in Iran {a sanctioned /High risk country }. Generally, MixPanel has helped me to comply with my company internal rules and regulations . MixPanel has helped me to spot redflags and take action by evicting bad customers based on their geolocation and other red flags. With MixPanel, the rationale and outcome after investigation makes more sense and i'm more convinced that I'm not making a mistake.

What do you like best about the product?
It's full customization capabilities. You can add fields relevant to your business and edit them as you grow.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes data doesnt get recorded, I would suppose that it is due to one time server issues

To understand how my users interact and to inprove my product accordingly.

What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to understand tool. Allows anyone to create reports, dashboard and insights within minutes! No need for prior analytics experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
Uploads from CSV files for creating cohorts is not currently supported, which makes some cohort creation cumbersome.

Understanding overall business performance and in product user behaviour.
Easy to use real-time insights
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to switch from other tools, easy to consume dashboards and easily to share information. Makes data transparent within the organization and helps make data-driven decisions. Easy to plug and track metrics and the customer formula builder is extremly customizable and easy to use. Using cohorts also is relatlively simple and helps align how mulitple stakeholders apply filters to reach same values across the board.
What do you dislike about the product?
The flexibility around building big reports is limited, since adding a lot of tables to a report without the ability to "toggle" or "collapse" makes the page too big and crashes, but also there's no easy way to organize bigger boards right now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having visibility over key metrics from our client's activity with our webapp, allowing us to understand behaviours and use those inputs to for roadmap decisions
Mixpanel is a powerhouse when it comes to understanding our user product analytics.
What do you like best about the product?
Mixpanel is flexible and well designed. We can view granular data and view in on many different charts.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a little overwhelming at first and hard to navigate around to dashboards others have created.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves our need to see detailed product analytics. It's how our team can understand conversion rates across our various funnels.
Great piece of software!
What do you like best about the product?
The best part is the flexibility of integration. We are able to modify data attribution etc. in the software UI itself, without updating our code and publishing new releases. Previously generated data remains fully compatible with the new structure. This literally saved us a few times already. Apart from that, Mixpanel is full of is very dev friendly and a pleasure to work with.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are fully satisfied with Mixpanel software. It does a great job for our product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mixpanel is enabling our analytics and marketing teams with all the necessary data and great insights. I believe such a tool is a must for any serious software product. And as a dev I deeply appreciate the time and care they put into their SDK, docs and Dashboard.
