The ultimate analytics tool

  • April 14, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I LOVE MIXPANEL! The setup was super easy. And the analytics, oh so good. The ability to track every page view, click, action.... is incredible. This has helped our team tremendously!
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like to see additional tutorials. The tracking on sales (no-login) pages for new users is hard to setup.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking user usage of features. We use MixPanel data to determine what needs to me updated, what buttons should be moved, etc...
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Spend some serious time looking into what you want to track, and have a game plan before implementing. Also, I would recommend using on one feature of your application to start off with and slowly go from there.

It works

What do you like best about the product?
I like the simply way that mixpanel give to the developers to be integrated everywhere, both in application and in website.
The api is well documented and with this website you are able to get all information you need.
The design of the application is good.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that some useful api are missing. e.g: you're not able to remove an alias by yourself.
I think that allow users to create more powerful queries from the application should be implemented, now is quiete restrictive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With mixpanel you can track every single user, I use this feature to understand how to comunicate with users
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I have no recommendations

Top Quality Mobile-Analytics Platform

  • March 29, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Simple to integrate. Can drill down to specific details - e.g location of customer, and phone type.

The free signup programme (in exchange for putting the mixpanel logo on your website) is a great system to help small companies get going.
What do you dislike about the product?
Complicated to use if not experienced with analytics tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mobile-commerce platform - trying to track customer flow through our funnel. Benefit is being able to view drop-off points clearly and amend the product.

What do you like best about the product?
It has powerful built - in reporting with easy set up.
We are a SAAS company and the AARRR metrics is very easy to set up and monitor in Mixpanel.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing yet, but I can expect the price of Mixpanel to be high when our session increased.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
User behavior tracking and analysis to help grow the business.
Easy to set up and use, saved our marketer tons of time to set up.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Easy to use, easy to set up. Powerful reporting options.
The customer support is also helpful and available.

Powerful tool

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The support works really well. They are always willing to help, answering in less than a day.
And comparing to the competence, Mixpanel offers cool features like easy A/B testing and in-app surveys.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price of the product when you grow in users is too high. For a startup it is difficult to afford it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Mixpanel as app-analytics tool. Funnels, retention tables and surveys are helping us to analyze customer reaction to the changes in our product.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try the Mixpanel partner program in order to increase the free plan.

Probably best product for analytics

  • March 12, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Funnels is the best feature of Mixpanel. It can easily be created and shows us the real time conversion rates on each step.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although setting up is not that that tough, but it is not as easy as Google analytics. Javascript knowledge is required if you need to track events and integrate the code according to the design of the website.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Use case was to track the websites of the travel domain. Here we tracked each step of the customer journey so that we can know at which step we are losing the customers. Also we used it to understand the behavior of the user on the website, like which buttons are used most, and how they traverse across the website.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Choose this if you want to understand user better by knowing the actions of the user and about the user journey through your app or website.

    Internet

Feature-rich, but stagnant and lacking polish

  • March 09, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Cohort analysis tools are best in class, funnel tools are satisfactory, easy setup.
What do you dislike about the product?
UI is heavily biased towards recently checked events; hard to export and re-import data; impossible to modify data in-place. While it hits all the basic checkmarks, competitors seem to be outpacing them on adding newer features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Used for conversion optimization within our company and for basic business intelligence. Allows non-engineers to explore data in an ad-hoc manner.
