Increase security.

Convient, well thought out tool. Categorisation of authentication details is fantastic.

What do you like best about the product?
Categorisation of Vaults, Finger print confirmation and the general UX.

It's also a really nice touch that metadata is displayed for each password, e.g. the related site url, when the password was last modified and when it was created.

Along with the above, it's great that you can store notes and attachments with each set of details. This is super useful if the credentials come along with extra steps, or instructions stored in an external place, e.g. Github.

When a password is saved, 1Password will also let you know how secure each password is, which is great if you're juggling and jumping between many, sometimes, weak passwords. Using this feature along, I've updated many of my average strength passwords to more secure ones.

Watchtower is also a fantastic addition, it covers compromised websites, vulnerable passwords, reused passwords, weak passwords, unsecured websites, two factor authentication and notifications for expiring credentials. All of these features are a lifesaver when you have to manage dozens of passwords, it's also fantastic, that as a user, I've got a tool watching my back.
What do you dislike about the product?
Browser integration feels a little rudimentary, sometimes the fill names and addresses feature doesn't work, though i don't know whether the blame lies with the tool or the sites in question.
I've noticed that my passwords are much stronger as they can be complicated random assortments of letters, numbers, and special symbols > 16 characters.I've noticed that my passwords are much stronger as they can be complicated random assortments of letters, numbers, and special symbols > 16 characters.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Management of my own passwords, using my organisations passwords and storing sensitive information like keys.

I've noticed that my passwords are much stronger as they can be complicated random assortments of letters, numbers, and special symbols > 16 characters.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely worth implementing in your organisation, I've noticed that's it's particularly useful to those that are less technically inclined.

Great tool for everybody

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to have everything well organized and give me the password I need every time I needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the when I forget the master password, so, I will literally, spend like 30 minutes trying to find the right password or in lats instance, reset the master password.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Like every access to my websites is managed by 1Password.

    Internet

Not bad, but a bit more complicated at first glance than it needs to be

What do you like best about the product?
Like that it's a centralized and secure spot for passwords. The click-to-copy or click-to-reveal on usernames is super helpful and does take a good chunk of clicks out of the process. Watchtower is also a handy overview tool for password safety for each group/vault.
What do you dislike about the product?
Takes more clicks than necessary to find username and password. Would also benefit from more visual distinction between "Vaults" or groups of passwords -- I've come very close to inputting personal password details into shared groups thinking it was my own private group.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1Password is helping me keep track of all the passwords I have for all these different tools used by my company. It's frustrating when you have a rotating set of passwords, and then you have to create a new account on a tool that has entirely different password requirements than your usual set of passwords. It helps eliminate needing to reset your password every time you try and log into a tool you don't use often, and it helps me get to work faster.

I think it logs you out a little bit too early

What do you like best about the product?
It's truly amazing to have everything I need across all devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be hard to untangle on a brand new device.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No matter where I am, or what device I'm using, I know I'll always be able to find my most sensitive data. Also being able to keep work and personal passwords together is a huge time saver.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Why aren't you using this app yet?

Simple integration with our workflow

  • November 24, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
1Password sits in the background and provides unobtrusive access to all my accounts. The integration with websites and my accounts feels seamless.
What do you dislike about the product?
The general idea that all my passwords are in one place doesn't sit right with me. It feels like a single point of failure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Generating secure passwords allows me to direct my focus elsewhere instead of worrying about coming up with complex passwords every time. Being able to import my passwords from other password managers has been extremely helpful.

The best "secret manager" I've ever used

  • November 24, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Available in all platforms and its UI is very intuitive. 1PasswordX is great, works incredibly well auto-filling forms.

Incredibly helpful for storing secure notes. In my case, configuration files that I want to keep safe and I sometimes need to share between different computers.

Being able to store IDs and other important numbers is also among my top favourite features.

Finally, the feature for adding one-time-passwords, amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
The desktop native app misbehaves sometimes. For instance, I often need to re-focus into the search bar or wait a bit until the application becomes responsive. This might be a consequence of having too many items in all of my vaults?

I would also loved if 1Password provided a better alternative to keeping the secret key "secret", other than recommending printing the paper and placing it on a safe place. Perhaps a completely separate digital solution? The option of printing a sheet of paper and placing it somewhere safe only really works if you have a safe at home, which most people don't.

I would also love to see 1PasswordX improving in a way that it's able to fill in web contact forms with personal details.

I would also like to hear more about how 1Password do security internally. I'm a bit concerned that if they ever have a data breach, it would be more than passwords that are lost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping a lot of my official IDs in one place: bank accounts, debit cards, passports, id's, national insurance number, health insurance number.

Also able to sometimes just log in into the web version of a computer that is not mine to retrieve a password or id, super handy.

Watchtower is also incredibly helpful at telling me when I've reused an existing password or when there has been a breach in one of the services I use.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
By all means, try other tools available and compare them with 1Password, that's what I've done - in fact, several times over the years - and I've always ended up coming back to 1Password. It's a bit more expensive than the other tools, but it's totally worth it.

I also recommend using the browser extensions, it's much better at automatically filling online forms than the desktop app.

What do you like best about the product?
The integrations with browsers, unlocking with fingerprint on Mac
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see more features in the CLI tool
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storing and sharing passwords. Using the password generator and the browser extensions means I never have to think about secure password
