Wonderful, worth every penny

  • February 23, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Works everywhere, browser plugin, iOS app, macOS app.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, no complaints at all. It's very good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used to have a secured document with all out passwords. 1Password makes it easy for us to have long, randomized password for every account, which we can easily change when necessary.

A MUST-HAVE software suite.

What do you like best about the product?
With 1,200 unique logins I rely on this!
What do you dislike about the product?
Needing to copy/paste username and passwords from the app on mobile.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saves me time and frustration. I can't imagine living without 1password in this day and age. With all the websites and other types of security logins these days, I am creeping up on 1,200 unique logins. You can't get by effectively with using a single password for every site because they all have different requirements in the amount of characters and unique characters.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Pull the trigger and don't wait another day to start using 1Password. It will make your life so much easier in this day and age.

The best password manager you can buy for the mac

  • February 23, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have both the mac and PC version of this software, but I'm primarily a Mac user and the windows version was a nice addon to have asI do have to work on a PC sometimes. The best thing is that I could buy it once and use it, I do not subscribe to the service and that option has not been taken away by the developer. Many developers leave their old users in the dust when they move to a subscription model.

Another thing is that it just works and is constantly updated to provide you with the best security.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much I dislike about this software. The one thing I would like is the option to have a portable version like Roboform.

Anyway, it's a small ask and not a deal breaker for me.

I would like to see two factor Authentication when a vault is added to 1password for the first time on a new machine.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Security and having to remember a million password, the internet still has to agree on universal login and till then 1password has saved me well. At work, passwords change every couple of months so this is a lifesaver in keeping up.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It can be pricey for a new person and for home users. I'm a legacy user when it cost around 35$ I've paid to upgrade a few times but now it's around 80$ Canadian. There are many other options out there which are much cheaper but if your power user this is the software to go with.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, intuitive interactions both in the app and within a web-browser, nice integration with OSX and iOS (I'm less familiar with Windows version, but have used it and am similarly pleased), seamless syncing between laptop and phone.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing comes to mind. The program has evolved and improved every year.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy management of multiple, complex and unique passwords.

The best password manager I've found

  • February 23, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
This is really the premium experience, and exceeds those of other managers I used for a long time, like LastPass and Enpass. It has the nicest UI and extensions, good search, and great generation options. The built-in support for one-time passwords is nothing like I've ever seen.
What do you dislike about the product?
The high price is likely to be a turn-off for a lot of folks, as I know it was for me for a long time. I've evaluated it, and now it's really hard to go back to any more budget option, however.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Everyone needs to have strong unique passwords. Although I was already using other managers before, like I mentioned above, 1P allowed me to search for a known weak password I've reused and eliminate it from many important sites.

Trustworthy Steward of Personal Secrets

What do you like best about the product?
Watchtower have to be the best feature among the features 1Password has added to its products. A heads up right from the password manager when some breach affects the user is what a manager should do.
What do you dislike about the product?
The weak point of 1Password is its relative lack of support to its Windows client software, and total lack of a Linux client. When I was using Linux I had to run the Windows client on Wine as a workaround.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1Password entered the password manager market earlier than most other players. In the beginning it even delegated storage to Dropbox. Over the years a lot more features are added and they took the storage into their own hands. It has always been the most seamless experience for me managing passwords.

1pw works beautifully across devices

  • February 22, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can store and retrieve passwords and other information across devices, and can retrieve securely even while offline. I like that the keychain is stored locally and I don't have to be online to get it.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing to dislike about 1pw. I've been using it a few years without any trouble whatsoever.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can coordinate keychains across devices with this very compatible software. Dropbox provides an effortless sync from one computer to another. I have multiple keychains that are used in combinations of devices. Easy to manage.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great for storing little files containing keys or tokens for authentication. Works offline (where that's applicable - such as storing the combination to the office safe). Instant one-hot-key log-in to web sites using browser extension.

Excellent Product

  • February 22, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Excellent place to keep all my information secure. Because of ease of use I do not have to create passwords I can remember. I let 1Password generate complex passwords for each log-in I have (and I have a lot). Much better than my old way.
My family and I also enjoy shared vaults.
What do you dislike about the product?
Once I tried to find something of mine that was only in my vault. The search of shared vaults found many similar items in my spouse's vault that was not needed by me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
More secure passwords. Since 1Password is so easy to use I have a different, secure password for each login.
