Using Kafka instances
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to manage and get started with. Can integrate different things along with kafka.
What do you dislike about the product?
Need to understand what is Kafka to use it in the better way, also it is expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
You don't need to provision your own kafka, Aiven saves your time.

What do you like best about the product?
Being able to easily scale and move between clouds. Support for SSL based authentication.
What do you dislike about the product?
When using azure private endpoint custom load balancer being flaky. Missing schema registry features. Portal is annoying for checking messages and topics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Moving data between services. Messaging. Kafka is our unified message bus, so ease of internal integrations.

Working out of the box, nice UI to manage the app, straightforward integration with our application.

Sometimes we struggle debugging or investigating the issues we encounter.

Not having to deal with managing self hosted Kafka
I find it very useful to quickly check the sample messages from topics

Some values are hard to maintain and visualize in portal. Some custom modules have made some hicups in past.

Aiven for Apache Kafka is transparent and easy to operate.
What do you like best about the product?
Aiven offers a diverse range of tools for interacting with their platform. I utilized Terraform to create a Kafka cluster, employed the CLI to extract the certificates, and utilized the console UI to create some testing topics. Additionally, Aiven allows us to access various metrics and logs from the instances, with the option to export them to Prometheus, among other possibilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Azure Privatelink feature needs to be more mature, it is still in the beta stage, and for us, this would be a requirement for production deployments, there was some features missing in their Terraform provider.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the current scenario, we were using another Kafka like cloud solution, and the migration to Aiven Kafka helped us to scale and to easy apply patches and version updates.
