Balanced and Professional

  • May 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Instant Access to Cloud Files – Being able to access large files without downloading them is incredibly convenient for remote workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
Inconsistent Performance – Speed and responsiveness can vary, especially with large media files.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidLink solves the problem of slow file transfers and syncing in remote creative workflows. Instead of waiting for massive video or design files to download or upload, I can stream them directly from the cloud, which saves time and keeps projects moving without delay.

Smooth workflow for remote video editing

  • May 16, 2025
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I can upload footage quickly and the editor can start working on videos straight away. The pin folders allow everyone in the team to access files quickly and edit without lag. When the editor finishes the first cut, I can jump and review, no need to relink any media, and instantly make a few adjustments on the edit. So overall it's smooth, fast and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can get expensive if you work with lots of high res footage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our video editor works remotely, so every time we need to share content projects it's not easy. Taking time to send the files back and forth, need to relink in Premiere...
LucidLink solves that: we can share files easily, the editor can start editing instantly, no need to relink files because them are in the specific lucid link folders, also the editing is smooth, no lag.
Overall great tool, removes friction sharing content and also makes the video editing workflow much more efficient.

What do you dislike about the product?
honestly I don't see a downside using it, only pros, well< I've never experienced a crash, but if it happens wouldn't be nice, but so far, everything smooth
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
before having Lucid Link it was hard to work from somewhere else than my workplace, now it's easy

Cloud Post Production Made Easy

  • May 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It allows a producer to build out their post production pipeline and folder structure that everybody recognises.
What do you dislike about the product?
You have to build remote teams with good internet speeds which isn't always possible as you can be dealing with large files.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The setting up process for remote projects is really quick and generally seamless when you need to onboard creatives. It works better in a Mac based environment and the content sharing is still the best in class

Innovative, unique storage/workflow options that sometimes works

  • May 16, 2025
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of accessing files across multiple machines and accounts.
Using files in editing workflows (almost) seamlessly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Connection can dip dramatically throughout the day.
Fills up space on an already stretched C: Drive (I'm aware this is likely a caching issue, but options to change the cache drive would be grand).
LucidLink Classic was (and is) a superior product to the new LucidLink.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to share projects and files fast, being able to work on the same project from the office and home.

Making Our Little Agency Operate BIG

  • May 16, 2025
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We're a small group of creators that need to collaborate on projects all across the country. Lucid Link allows us to do just that and it works seamlessly for our workflow. We use it on a handful of projects constantly, and it continues to be a valuable part of our creative process. Implementation was seamless and the customer support team got us up and running quickly. Highly recommended if the product can fit your budget.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's sometimes not as clear how much of our space is being used up at any given time, so would love to see the user hub showcase the amount of active storage a bit more apparently in future updates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidLink allows us to work as if we're collaborating on the same network drive even though were spread around the country. This is huge for a small agency like us.

LucidLink saves me time!

  • May 16, 2025
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I've been a freelance video editor for the last 5 years, and LucidLink is a huge time saver! Before Lucid, I would have to manually download hundreds of gigabytes of footage before editing and re-link project files. With LucidLink, I can skip the hassle of downloading and jump straight into the work.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside of LucidLink for me is that, depending on your internet connection, playback speeds can be slow, and sometimes the project files don't save correctly if you lose internet connection.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps reduce hours needed for downloading and syncing footage, as well as reducing storage needs for me.

LucidLink – The Future of Cloud Storage and Collaborative Work

  • May 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
LucidLink has been an absolute game-changer for our startup. We've been using it daily for the past 4–5 months, the experience has been nothing short of eye-opening. The platform delivers on what it promises lightning-fast access to cloud files with a truly "real-time" feel that sets it apart from traditional cloud storage solutions. It was incredibly easy to implement and the platform is so intuitive that our team was up and running right away without any learning curve.

One of the most impressive aspects is how LucidLink allows us to work directly from our creative and production software without ever needing to download or reupload anything. This eliminates delays, reduces redundant file transfers, and keeps our workflow fluid and efficient.

LucidLink has significantly improved the way we work. Our team now collaborates more efficiently, shares large datasets effortlessly, and moves at nearly twice the speed compared to our previous workflow. The seamless experience makes it feel like files are local — even though everything lives in the cloud.

If you're a remote team or a company dealing with large files and need reliable, high-performance access to shared data, we highly recommend LucidLink. It's not just a tool — it's a strategic upgrade.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, there's not much to complain about so far, the overall experience has been excellent. That said, the user interface for managing users and access permissions can feel a bit hidden or unintuitive at times. It’s not a major issue, but a more streamlined layout would make the admin experience even better. Otherwise, the core technology works exactly as intended and runs seamlessly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidLink has solved one of our biggest challenges: accessing and collaborating on large files across a remote team without the need for constant downloading and reuploading. We can now work directly from our software — like opening a Maya scene straight from the cloud — which has been a huge productivity boost. The real-time access and speed have allowed us to move nearly twice as fast in our workflow. It's also incredibly easy to use and implement; our team was up and running within minutes. LucidLink has made collaboration seamless and efficient, and it's now a core part of our daily operations.

What do you dislike about the product?
Large video files (25gb+) can be difficult to work with on the server
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidLink eliminates the need for any file storage or transfer services, which plagued and still plagues the post production industry

LucidLink Review After Several Years of Use

  • May 15, 2025
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
After several years of working with LucidLink on a daily basis, I can confidently say it’s a very stable system. I’ve never experienced any issues with file integrity or access. Everything just works — even with large media files in a remote post-production workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
In some edge cases, I’ve experienced issues with metadata synchronization after a network interruption. Also, the cache folder doesn’t always behave as expected — sometimes requiring manual cleanup or reinitialization to avoid performance hiccups.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidLink gives me reliable access to all my project files from anywhere in the world.
