Flawless and ideal, one of the best apps I've tried in ages
What do you like best about the product?
Worked seamlessly in a shared footage session, and is super speedy. We used to use OneDrive, and a large 10GB+ file can take 30 mins or more to download. It was about 10 secs on Lucidlink. I tested it with a class, all the students were able to create accounts with no spam, and share footage. We were all able to download and set up within 20 mins. The sharing of footage using a 3-step system took a second to figure out but then was easy enough, I suppose some people might not want to do 3 steps but that added security seemed useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside was cost, and it was a bit hard to tell a flat cost for an average user since it is based on the amount of footage. Since the footage amount can fluctuate from project to projects that was my only concern.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
How to do a shared footage project without manually passing around a drive. Eliminates upload/download time.

What do you like best about the product?
Global Access, ease of use, good support
What do you dislike about the product?
instillation process for mac on Classic version
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Global access. We have employees all ofer the global and the cloud solution is good for us.
Best cloud editing system!
What do you like best about the product?
I really love LucidLink because it helps my coworker and I work together on premiere projects remotely.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I most dislike about LucidLink is sometimes the delays I run across on it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidLink is helping my coworker and I solve working remotely. Before LucidLink it was hard to share updated files. Now, it is very easy.
LucidLink - Documentary Industry Pro
What do you like best about the product?
LucidLink makes it easy to store, organize, and access massive amounts of footage without having to fully download everything locally. It’s fast, reliable, and allows our team to collaborate seamlessly across multiple locations. Being able to stream files on demand has saved us time and storage space, especially during high-volume documentary projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a little finicky with certain NLEs (non-linear editing systems), especially when working with proxy workflows or large sequences. Occasionally, the connection drops or gets sluggish if internet speeds dip, which can interrupt review or transfer processes. A more intuitive desktop UI would also be helpful for newer users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidLink eliminates the need to constantly upload, download, or transfer large video files between team members. In our documentary work, we deal with hours of high-resolution footage, and LucidLink allows us to stream and organize everything from a centralized space without clogging local drives. It’s especially beneficial when collaborating with editors, producers, and partners who are spread across locations—we can all work from the same source files in real time. This has streamlined our post-production workflow, reduced delays, and kept our projects moving efficiently.
Streamlined sharing
What do you like best about the product?
I love using LucidLink at school because it makes sharing large files much easier! I love not having to pass off my hard drive to my editor every time and instead just putting the files on LucidLink
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can be slow and hard to use
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Passing off my hard drive to editors
LucidLink AHs helped transform our Teams workflow
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, Pricing, Product innovations
What do you dislike about the product?
No ability to connect to Strada currently
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used to use desktop hardrives. LucidLink allows the Team to edit directly from the cloud.
Solid file storage/access for indie VFX workflow
What do you like best about the product?
We used LucidLink Classic with the Wasabi server. We had almost zero issues with file storage. It felt like Dropbox but would automatically download whatever I needed to work on as I needed it = very convenient! It worked great on mac and PC. We used over 25 users in the same pool of about 10TB storage.
What do you dislike about the product?
There were a couple of outages and one lost file but it was a Wasabi storage error and not LucidLink. They helped me figure out what happened and helped with user configurations as well if needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great file storage that is solid like Dropbox but quick/simple for creatives (VFX Artists)
A great product for remote team collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
I use it to share production files for Premiere Productions, which means me and a colleague can seamlessly be working in the same files even though we're in different locations. We both use it every work day.
What do you dislike about the product?
A larger storage capacity for the starter price bracket would be useful. We're just two people working on a independent feature film.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My colleague and I work in different locations, and we wanted to use Premiere Productions and just have one Productions file we can both access. I didn't want us to be sending transfer project files back and forth, making things messy and potentially files getting damaged.
Best
What do you like best about the product?
I use LucidLink every day, and have had minimal issues with it as far as downtime, crashing, etc. Customer service has been very helpful. When we first got the product, we had a lengthy and informative onboarding process, and it enabled us to really hit the ground running. We were quick to switch over and integrate, and it was easy to get the hang of how to implement a work stream that works for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
We switched recently from Legacy to a Team account, and I don't think the upgrades to the UI necessarily helped the overall experience.
• They combined share links and review links, and in doing so, made it much more difficult to custom order clips.
• Things default to having "status" turned on and even if you turn it off and "set as default," that doesn't turn it off.
• I recently have been having latency issues and when I contacted customer support, they told me, "I can see that significant latency is often reported on the connection. LucidLink relies on fast internet speeds with low latency. Here you can find out more about the connection quality and its impact on LucidLink as well as practical advice on how to optimise the operational environment" (that's all verbatim from the email), but then they sent me a dead link. I navigated through the website, found what they were referring to, and it was unhelpful, so my issue persists.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our biggest need was something where we can review progress of cuts with each other and with the client. I think this does a great job of that, but when switching to the new version of LucidLink, I think we lost a lot of the link customization options we had before.
We are a small agency and I think there are a lot of options that would be helpful for bigger places or people making major motion pictures, but how it was before was more helpful to our needs than where it is now.

Impressive new technology
What do you like best about the product?
Lucid Link makes collaboration via the cloud feel as if your colleague is in the next room on the same file server.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pinning mecanism is take some getting used to and having two versions of Lucid Link is confusing. Also it would help me as a professional postproducion trainer to be able to add 20 seats for a week or the period of the training and not for a longer period.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick reliable collaboration via the cloud for postproduction workflows with Adobe video tools.
