Intuitive and reliable cloud share
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to send instructions to others (especially freelancers) on how to download and use Lucid.
What do you dislike about the product?
Having to login through Okta has caused issues if someone's front facing camera wasn't working to use FaceID
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have many problems transferring footage through drives, and Lucid has solved those as long as DPs have strong internet connections. Lucid saves a lot of time and money on shipping and receiving hard drives

Great Product
What do you like best about the product?
I am able to access our company files on the go and while traveling - that is awesome!
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to dislike so far. It is a great product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has always been a headache to save all of our files to our desktops. Now we can all share live files.
Stable, reliable tool
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to use it as a "simple drive" - a lot of the complexity is masked behind the scenes.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's hard to describe to others how many use cases this can help with. Better marketing is needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to have a consistent development/work environment.
Super fast sync and user friendly
What do you like best about the product?
sharing easy link - but would love to see if I can share it with folks that dont have Lucid
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love to share links with folks that dont use Lucid
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
easy sync and better collaboration tool
A fantastic way to have a cloud based filesystem while allowing user to stay remote.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the idea that we can have a cloud filesystem that mounts just like any NAS. It also provides great ability to mount in cloud computing to minute data without the hinder of on-prem to cloud networks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes we feel we are on the bleeding edge and are just a test case for new features and bugs. We feel a lot of the growing pains of being early adopters. Example: 2.0 upgrade.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows all 200+ users to work remotely but on a commonly shared filesystem just like they would be with a shared filesystem that would be located on-prem without any third party syncing features.
Transformed our remote workflow
What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity/ease of use to manage for our administration. It is able to use the full speed of users bandwidth and is not relying going through a vpn etc like our previous remote workflows
What do you dislike about the product?
Downsides would be trying to have hydrid setups where users are back in the studio under the same roof while others are remote. There is no simple setup for that.
No out of the box 2factor authentification for users unless your company already uses Okta or the other option.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to have full remote artists using the same server without the bandwidth limitations of our own in house systems.
Artists can work from the lucid mount without the worry of having to remember to copy their files to our server after working (which was the case previously)

Easy to Use in Post workflow
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to set up. I am a new employee with this company and the setup process was easy to get through.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tech support response times. I know our assistants have sent tech support questions and it takes them a few days to get a response.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working completely remotely with a team of 18 handling large production files. Easy for all to access and work in real time.
Easy to use, super convenient
What do you like best about the product?
The Cost, Lucid gives you a large selection of options and flexibility. I'm a big fan.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not currently a way to see the progress of the files that you are pinning, and it makes predicting when you can work, much harder. You also can't be logged into multiple files spaces at once.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability for our youtube video content team to work from home and edit videos - huge help during the pandemic
Easy to find files
What do you like best about the product?
The search function has been the most helpful. Also being able to Copy links to a file location and send immediately to someone.
What do you dislike about the product?
Seems like you need very fast reliable internet for it to work at it's best.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The capability to search for files.
A huge leap for cloud video workflows
What do you like best about the product?
This is a game-changer if you have a remote video or design team. Being able to open projects, and stream files in real-time has changed the way our team works. It's an amazing program and I highly recommend it. The pricing is affordable, especially in the pay-as-you-go model.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like a little more insight into what is cached (pinned) and what is not.
Still dependent on your team members' internet connection.
It has issues occasionally with Canon RAW codecs.

This helps us
1. Stay organized in a remote workflow
2. Allows granular access control of folders
3. Removes the need to "download" files, especially from google drive where everything would need to be zipped
4. Immediate access to our creative assets and know that they are always backed up to the cloud
