What do you like best about the product?
It significantly reduces the amount of time taken with the unique upload/download structure.

The amount of installation and account permissions management feels outdated and clunky (not UI friendly if not being taught how to use).

Simple solution for a complex workflow

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite thing about LucidLink is that it one of those tools that just works. There's very little complexity to it. The system is easy to set up and configure and they have a pricing model that makes it very easy to anticipate costs. We've had very few technical issues with it and even when we have their tech support is very responsive and quick to resolve even minor issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much to really dislike about the system. I wish there were "guest" or "read-only" account options offered at a lower price but hard to complain too much given the price point it's offered at.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our post-production team went fully remote after COVID and needed a solution to keep everyone working together. With LucidLink, we're able to have everyone working off a shared storage solution that doesn't require a complex server system and can work with the challenge of having everyone on different internet speeds and operating systems.

Very useful, but needs some improvements to be a truly seamless experience

What do you like best about the product?
The file sharing feature is very useful for our team. We use it for video editing many ad creative files, so it's very good to share common raw footage or as redundancy if a team member becomes unavailable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Three things: 1. at times the speed is very slow, even to load up a folder, which is disruptive 2. there's unexpected downtime where it's unusable and we lose access to files, and 3. the program is resource intensive on my computer
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes collaboration and file sharing more seamless. Instead of having to pass files along and manually keep track of the latest files, there's one central location for acces.

Incredible performance.

What do you like best about the product?
We're using LucidLink to quickly shift uncompressible data from an EC2 instance to a customer's on-prem storage as a part of a broadcast workflow. Drop files into the LucidLink drive in the cloud and they appear on the other side - as quickly as the connection can support. We're fans and we'll be using this for other customers with similar needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
No complaints. Does one thing incredibly well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting our customer's files into their production team's hands as quickly as possible.

What do you dislike about the product?
I would have loved to be able to access the content stored in my lucid link server on my phone, to be able to show my rushs to my client on the go
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We work on very heavy files, lucid link makes us able to instantly get to work when we are done filming

What do you like best about the product?
Its ease of use and its interface. I was able to get up and running soon after downloading the software platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside was the login situation. Because of its high security sensitivity once Id lost my login no one seemed to be able to help me get back in!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enabling a complete cloud video editing platform for my team that is based around the globe.

Great plan for remote workflows

What do you like best about the product?
I’ve been using LucidLink since 2020 and can confidently say it’s been a game-changer for my remote editing workflow. From the very beginning, the support team has been incredible—responsive, helpful, and genuinely invested in solving any issues that pop up. I was fortunate to be an early user and had a single point of contact, which made the onboarding process seamless and personal.

What sets LucidLink apart is how effortlessly it enables real-time collaboration from anywhere in the world. Once you understand how the system integrates with Premiere Pro—especially when working with slower internet connections—it becomes second nature. There’s no more waiting around for uploads or downloads; everyone on the team can add assets, access footage, and work off the same Adobe project as if they were in the same room.

LucidLink has completely redefined what’s possible for remote post-production. Highly recommend it to any editor or creative team working across distances.
What do you dislike about the product?
Takes little while for you to learn the command line prompts,
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote work flow

LucidLink has made remote work flexible and easy

  • January 03, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Having all files show up in lucidlink as a local drive is huge. It's streamlined our workflow between artists and allows for pipeline infrastructure to be built as if we had a physical on site server.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is the sync time, which is unavoidable. If an artist is stuck on residential internet plan that can make things a tad slower, but not a deal breaker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidlink allowed us to cut out projected costs of on site servers. We can now put those resources into building a proper render farm off the back on lucidlink.

    Broadcast Media

LucidLink has transformed our small company’s remote workflows

  • January 03, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
LucidLink is hands down the most effective and also most simple solution to being able to offline edit our broadcast media projects thanks to its compatibility with Premiere, its speed and reliability
What do you dislike about the product?
There is little to dislike about LucidLink but, however you skin it, any solution like this is an extra link in the local server / proxies / editing platform / remote user's machine / remote user workflow and as such niggles do emerge. The volume of rushes, the data rate, the number of channels or tracks being accessed as live on the editing platform are all still preferable than working locally, but this is now only marginal whereas before LucidLink it was fundamental.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our ability to access a wider talent pool, working in an industry (broadcast production) where editors are in short supply and where our company is a long distance from the main work hubs.
