LucidLink is vital to our ability to collaborate with efficiency.
What do you like best about the product?
The file transfer is always seamless and quick, and provides access to documents in real-time with no delay in productivity.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of universal mobile support limits flexibility.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had used many services in the past but were also limited by the file transfer speed and it also felt clunky. We now are able to work effectively while remote and not having to worry about the delays in files.
This software is like magic!
What do you like best about the product?
Our team is able to collaborate by sharing files easier than any other system I've experienced. It acts just like any other folder on your computer and files can be opened, updated and shared without doing anything other than making sure they are in your LucidLink folder. We haven't needed any support beyond the initial setup because the software just works and when we first signed up, we got personal assistance to make sure everything was setup correctly. We use it everyday, it is simple to add users and it naturally works with everything we normally use our files with.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only drawback I can think of is you have to have an internet connection and the faster the connection, the better the performance but it's hardly a problem in this age when there is good enough internet pretty much anywhere you would really need to use it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a storage solution that is easily scalable and sharable so everyone on our team can find the files they want and work on the same projects without having to switch computers or software or have to constantly download and upload files every time. We currently use other solutions for different use cases but there is nothing else like LucidLink on the market that I know of. The simple fact that it is a cloud storage solution but acts like it is a native file on your computer as well as everyone else on your team's computers is unheard of before and a real game-changer for us. Other options out there either require uploading and downloading before you can work with or share the files and if they do sync, it takes a lot longer than LucidLink, which is able to sync very large files almost instantly.
The BEST tool for anyone in post-production wanting to work
What do you like best about the product?
What I really love about LucidLink is how it lets me stream huge files straight from the cloud with zero hassle. No more waiting around to download stuff—everything just works, and collaboration's a breeze.
It's super easy to use as it's integrated within Finder (I'm using this on a Mac) and it fits right into my workflow without any interruption. The speeds are unbeatable and always come out with new features including the iOS app!
LucidLink is the ultimate tool for any freelancer or team needing quick and secure access to data.

LucidLink is the ultimate tool for any freelancer or team needing quick and secure access to data.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's honestly not much to dislike! I'd love to see a little more flexibility in adding additional TB's or another plan to cater for freelancers that want to scale up and down in size. Other than that, I'm a huge fan and beats any competitor that I've used.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes collaboration with large files so much easier, to also add members and other freelancers on projects whilst being secure, means that I can run a studio fully remotely in the cloud.
LucidLink and Final Cut Pro
What do you like best about the product?
I realy like the integration that PostLab and Final Cut Pro have with LucidLink. Video editing requires a dedicated design for solid performance.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it were a bit easier to onboard a collaborator to an FCP/Postlab/LucidLink workflow, but it has the best overall implementation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It lets me collaborate with other FCP editors.
Fast easy effective Cload based Filesharing
What do you like best about the product?
Real time data access for Edit a GFX Design.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing to dislike about Lucid Link

SSO Capability and Remote collaboration
Game changer for remote workflow of TV/docuseries
What do you like best about the product?
It worked seamlessly even with Avid ! We’re using resolve now and it’s even more proficient than ever!
What do you dislike about the product?
Not sure what’s to dislike. Our company has been using it now for about 4 years and it’s been rock solid !
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allowed our employees to be able to work remotely from whatever location they please. It was extremely beneficial in the pandemic. The upload and download speeds are also something I’ve never experienced and has expedited the delivery of media recorded in the field to the editors working all over the province.
Works great for smaller files but larger files bogs down the system
What do you like best about the product?
LucidLink makes sharing files and folders with remote workers very easy, especially those files that are growing during a live event. The files can live in your own S3 bucket and show up as a network drive for remote workers. These files can easily be dropped into Adobe Premiere and edited with. The file will continue to grow within Premiere as the file grows within the S3 bucket. This does allow a company to save travel costs by keeping remote editors where they are instead of bringing them on site.
The smoothness of the video playback and scrubbing is pretty good for files under 150GB. The experience is very similar to editing with the file on a local server.
Setting up a Lucid Link platform for both admins and users was very easy. The rights management system of who has access what is easy to manage as well. The Lucid Link customer support team are very knowledgeable and have great personalities.

What do you dislike about the product?
While LucidLink can easily can handle files up to 150GB anything over that and I am experiencing delayed playback times and scrubbing. At my house I have a 500mbps fiber connection and I am experiencing these issues. Maybe on a faster connection 1GB-3GB connection you wouldn't have this. Most remote editors would probably be editing from their homes and most of the population doesn't have an internet connection in the 1GB-3GB range. Most are less than 500mbps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows our remote editors not to travel on site when we have events which saves travel costs and time.
Effortless cloud collaboration with incredible speed.
What do you like best about the product?
LucidLink has completely changed the way our team works remotely. Files are instantly accessible without the need for downloads, and syncing across users is seamless. It's fast, reliable, and perfect for large media projects that require real-time access.
What do you dislike about the product?
There’s a bit of a learning curve at the beginning, especially when configuring for team use across different operating systems. But once it's set up, it runs smoothly and becomes second nature. Occasional network hiccups can slow things briefly, but nothing major.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidLink solves the challenge of remote file access and collaboration on large media projects. Instead of waiting for massive files to download or syncing delays, I can stream files instantly, no matter where I am. This has drastically improved our team’s productivity and allowed real-time collaboration across locations without relying on traditional cloud storage or physical drives.
Lucidlink classic works better than anything i have ever worked with before
What do you like best about the product?
Overall the product works quite seemlessly, when it's on a fast connection, it's virtually as if i have my footage drives plugged in, but with the added benefit of not having very much local.
What do you dislike about the product?
Whenever my cache drive fills up, it seems to struggle. I un pin things, but the cacheing becomes incredibly slow, and i end up finding myself formatting my drive to fresh, or else it basically becomes unusable. I would really like an archive feature as well. Having to manually move folders i havent touched to a less expensive filespace for storage is a pain in the a, and it would be much easier to just have an archive button.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We no longer need to have tons of harddrive backups like we used to. We can re-use our shoot drives as well, saving us money.
