Easy to set up and use. Simple, elegant workflow
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to connect to and use for media workflows. The flexibility and performance is fantastic!
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is the price. It would be great if it was a little cheaper.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the issue of making shared media storage available to new users immediately.
Great product but pricing model could be made more clear
What do you like best about the product?
Using larger files such as CAD files on LucidLink is a breeze compared to alternative cloud file solutions such as SharePoint. The support and 3rd party integrations make everything easy
What do you dislike about the product?
Initial pricing before setup isn't very clear on the website, and it's hard to understand the pricing model. Ingress fees should be made more apparent, as if they are expensive, it may make the solution unfeasible for some businesses
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharepoint had issues with CAD file references and file paths along with speed of accessing the files. With LucidLink, we are able to avoid these issues completely due to the way it is setup.
Very happy with the Lucid Link solution
What do you like best about the product?
Lucid Link is really like havinf a plugged in hard drive
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the connection is getting slow or disconnects
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The company has different teams in different locations so having Lucid Link is helping us sharing and collaborating through the different teams
Great product with even better support
What do you like best about the product?
A real cloud-based video drive edit solution is here. After some calls and troubleshooting with Lucid Link's fantastic support staff, we dialed in consistent performance editing promos using seven half-hour episodes at UHD resolution. As a single editor freelancer, having patient and plain-spoken tech support was helpful. Used Premiere Pro v22 for the project. Did some quick tests with Avid MC, and it seemed like a similar performance could be expected. Handed off the media to another editor out of state, and all worked as expected. I also love not having more desk real estate taken up by a raid drive
What do you dislike about the product?
To scrub through footage in the source window of Premiere, you have to enable proxies and at least 1/2 resolution in the window. The Premiere project and various caches must be on a local HD, either internal or external ssd, to extract the best performance. I have Fios 1 gig service; you can tell when your speeds dip below a particular MB per minute. Residential ISP speeds can be a concern.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With newer software versions, I can only assume it will mean higher performance of 4k and higher resolution footage. I would like to be able to edit without proxies enabled and at full resolution in Premiere. Rasterized edges can be annoying to look at day after day.
Works flawlessly, unlocks new potential for collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Lucid works perfectly for video editing. You install it and upload some files and add your colleagues to the filespace and from there you just get working. There is no complex setup and giving file permissions is easy. Lucid allows us to collaborate on projects at a moments notice, working more flexibly than ever before. After a few days of testing we already felt ready to trust it in our workflow, and now our workflow is fully built around the use of Lucid. It honestly works like magic! When you have your cache folder on a nice fast external SSD it's a dream to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is that, for example if you start uploading 100gb of footage and then a few minutes later make a small change to a project file, your change to that project file won't sync until the 100gb of footage has uploaded first. So there needs to be a way to prioritise what gets synced/uploaded, or a way to pause certain uploads so something else can upload first, and then un-pause the big upload when you are ready.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had the issue where if we wanted to collaborate on a project within our team or with freelancers, we had to either upload everything (normally 200gb) to wetransfer or google drive and it'd take days for people to download everything, or it'd take days to get harddrives posted to people. This really didn't work especially if it was time sensitive and we needed to start collaborating more quickly. Lucid allows us to hire a freelancer in the morning and get them working on the project straight away, without us needing to do anything differently from how we had been working on the project up to that point.
Great Platform for Media
What do you like best about the product?
I like how ease it was to set up LucidLink! A quick download of their client, and you can add users right away. With other platforms, it's all or nothing with permissions, but with LucidLink you can really customize it.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't a ton of flexibility when it comes to adding storage a la carte. However, I do think it's worth speaking to their very knowledgeable team about what works best for you.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidLink is really making it easy to manage storage and view raw video footage easily. With LucidLink, you're able to connect individuals remotely so everyone is on one platform. I'm able to hand off footage from one team to another so quickly, and that cuts down on our time to deliver overall!
Amazing cloud that is as simple as an external drive plugged in.
What do you like best about the product?
Once you download the client and configure it, it's like those little Bluetooth devices - "Plug and Forget". Just use it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't know how, but it could be simpler to install on other team members' devices.
Oh, I think it could have a smaller plan as well, like 500GB.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To seamlessly share my project files with my team colleagues abroad.
